Last week saw plenty of suprises, as we saw CM Punk join commentary, Michael Cole made his triumphant return, and at the end of the show we saw Michelle McCool kick NXT rookie Kaitlyn in the face after the rookie was pinned in a 6 diva tag match. Punk has stated that he will be back for Commentary, so the night is sure to be full of suprises (and botches).
Wow; What a different show we saw.
This show, that opened with Mathews asking why Cole is still here, was absolutely terrible show. I, being a fan of NXT in recent weeks, have to admit that Cole and Mathews weren't as witty as in recent weeks (Possibly due to the double tapings and all - Cole did say a few witty lines such as "Something exciting? - Not Matt Strikers career." and "This is the best show on TV - Well, it won't be on TV next week. I laughed several times, but it wasn't as funny, witty or clever as it has been in recent weeks.
NXT only aired 2 challengers and 0 matches; thus making it appear like WWE don't care. They only mentioned moving to the internet twice, both times descritely mentioned by Cole in some form of joke. It's a shame as NXT was really good in Season 1 and 2 (Excluding the challenges) but it just seems to have gone to the dogs during season 3. The potential in the NXT 3 Rookies is massive; Naomi, AJ, Kaitlyn and Maxine have better bodies and can produce better matches than Eve, Bellas, Kelly.
