Greg has given me the duty to write out the rules for the FWA Hall of Fame. Since Greg has given the job to me, I've come up with rules which are suitable to the concept of a Hall of Fame. Here are the rules:
1. By the authorization of the Board of Directors of the Fantasy Wrestling Association Inc., the Committee is authorized to hold an election every year for the purpose of electing members to the Fantasy Wrestling Hall of Fame from the ranks of retired wrestlers.
2. Only the active and honorary Committee Members of the Fantasy Wrestling Association are permitted to finalize and conclude elections and ceremonies. These members must have been active as wrestling writers and members of the Association prior to the date of election in which they are voting.
3. Candidates to be eligible must meet the following requirements:
a. A wrestler must have been active as a wrestler in the Fantasy Wrestling Association for at least five months and ending five months prior to election.
b1. The wrestler must have held FWA Heavyweight Championship or at least two major singles championships of the Fantasy Wrestling Association within the timeframe described in 3 (a).
b2. Tag team partners who were at least 3 time tag team champions or held the belts for at least 6 months at one time can be inducted together as a team. If a wrestler held the tag titles with a different partner, one can be inducted by himself if they have 3 tag team title reigns and a major championship title reign. (Both must meet requirements of 3a.)
c. Wrestler shall have ceased to be an active in the Fantasy Wrestling Association preceding the election but may be otherwise connected with Fantasy Wrestling Association.
d. Any wrestler on the Fantasy Wrestling Association's ineligible list shall not be an eligible candidate.
4. Method of Election:
a. The active committee members of the Fantasy Wrestling Association will appoint a Screening Committee.
b. The Screening Committee shall consist of six or seven members, which includes the current active Committee Members of the Fantasy Wrestling Association.
c. The duty of the Screening Committee shall be to prepare a ballot of the eligible candidates and vote.
d. There may be up to ten candidates per ballot and no fewer than four.
e. Electors may vote for as few as zero and as many as four eligible candidates deemed worthy of election.
f. Only candidates receiving at least fifty five percent of these votes shall be elected to membership in the Fantasy Wrestling Hall of Fame.
g. The induction class may include no less than three inductees and no more than four inductees per year.
h. A person will be chosen by the Committee Members of the Fantasy Wrestling Association will induct each inductee.
i. Voting shall be based upon the wresler's record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and contributions to the Fantasy Wrestling Association.
5. The duly authorized representatives of the Fantasy Wrestling Association shall prepare, date and mail ballots to each elector no later than the two months prior to the Pay Per View “No Remorse.” The elector shall sign and return the completed ballot within thirty days (30 days). Otherwise their ballot will be null and void. The committee members of the Fantasy Wrestling Association shall then tabulate the votes and announce the induction class at least twenty days (20 days) prior to the induction ceremony. The induction ceremony will be held annually the day before “No Remorse.”
6. The results of the election are to be certified by the Fantasy Wrestling Association Inc. The results will then be transmitted to the Chairman of the Fantasy Wrestling Association.
7. The Board of Directors of the Fantasy Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. reserves the right to revoke, alter or amend these rules at any time.
Read this if you did not understand:
1. We will hold elections every year.
2. The Commitee Members conclude every election and cermony.
3. A wrestler is eligible to be in the Hall of Fame if:
a. The wrestler had to of been active in FWA for at least 5 months and has had to been inactive for at least 5 months prior to the elections.
b. The wrestler had to of held either the FWA Heavyweight Championship or two major singles titles in FWA.
c. Tag team partners who were at least 3 time tag team champions or held the belts for at least 6 months at one time can be inducted together as a team. If a wrestler held the tag titles with a different partner, one can be inducted by himself if they have 3 tag team title reigns and a major championship title reign.
d. The wrestler who is inducted can no longer be part of the active roster but may still be associated with the FWA.
e. If we find a wrestler to be ineligible, he will not be eligible to be a candidate (kind of obvious but I wanted to give another rule... haha).
4. Method of Elections:
a. The FWA commitee members will appoint a screening commitee to help us run elections.
b. The screening commitee will be made up of 6 or 7 members including the FWA commitee members.
c. The Screening Committee prepare the ballots and vote in elections.
d. 10 candidates maximum, 4 candidates minimum per ballot.
e. Electors from the Screening Commitee can either abstain from voting or vote for 4 candidates to be inducted.
f. Only the candidates who recieve up to 55% of votes can be inducted.
g. The induction class can have only 3 or 4 candidates per year.
h. The FWA Commitee Members will chose who inducts each inductee into the HOF.
i. Votes will be based ONLY on what the wrestler has accomplished.
5. The commitee will send the final ballots off to the screening commitee. If ballots aren't sent back to one of the commitee members within a month, that elector's vote will be null and void. We will send them 2 months before the pay per view No Remorse. We will announce the induction class one month before the PPV and the cermony will be held the day before the PPV.
6. The commitee will confirm the results of the election and the results will be transmited to the head of FWA (right now, that would be Greg).
7. The rules are subject to change.
If you still don't understand anything, just tell me. I'll explain. These are the rules. You are welcome.
