If he could put some guys over all of the time yes sign him for a year or two however if he is going to be winning a lot no do not sign him.

“I just heard Foghat and Molly Hachet are headlining Summerfest this year. I am so there!” - Chris Jericho on Jeremy Piven calling Summerslam Summerfest
Not full time but I wouldnt mind seeing him occasionally. Problem is he isnt that great and ageing, however in the right match he'd be perfect (him abyss=ouch), however these matches were overdone a few years ago and as Runt found out once you've done them theres not much left. I wouldnt mind seeing him a bit, if TNA did expand and had more hours why not??
TNA has drifted away from a hardcore division really so there is no need for a guys like balls mahoney.....he cant really wrestle at all and is out of shape, hes just a brawler who does hardcore wrestling, that doesnt really fit TNA right now, so id say no to hiring him.

He WOULD add a hardcore feel, but TNA isnt trying to distinguish itself as a hardcore company. TNA isn't ECW. TNA should be trying to re-establish the X-division as being the true main event of the company like it was in the Daniels/Styles/Joe days. The problem with bringing in a hardcore guy is that there arent any other true hardcore guys in the company for him to feud with. Look at Abyss and Morgan. Do you really feel like youve seen Morgan do ANYTHING hardcore? No, its just Abyss taking all the sick shots. Thats what would happen if Balls came into the company. Hed have no one to be hardcore with except Abyss.
Personally, I dont watch TNA to see human beings get massacred. I'm not into blood, I'm not into seeing ripped flesh, I'm not into seeing human beings lit on fire. I watch TNA because I love the athleticism of guys like Styles and everyone in the x-division. I watch TNA because theyve got young and exciting guys who can actually put on a GREAT match, not old steroidal guys who look good on cereal boxes. I just dont see Balls adding anything positive in the company.
In a company with a roster as small as TNA's, they simply can't afford to add someone in there for "flavor". It needs to be someone thats gonna represent the product well and take it to the next level.
