I hope she's not going for a quick fix, like Kurt Angle did with his neck surgery a few years ago where the doctors went in from the front and not the back.

A quick fix? Going through the front instead of the back is now the most common procedure for neck surgery. It provides for quicker healing, but still takes at least a year to get medical clearance to resume training, much less wrestling.

I've never heard any of the numerous pro wrestlers who've had neck surgery (Steve Austin, Edge, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Gregory Helms, Rhyno, Lita, among others) with that procedure complain about wishing they'd had the surgeon go through the back of the neck.

Possible Spoiler For Tonight’s Genesis PPV

–Sources within TNA Wrestling are confirming that TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong is injured, and has been pulled from future wrestling events. Taylor Wilde was also at a K&S event yesterday and was also telling fans that Kong was hurt.

If this is indeed true, then it seems that Kong will drop her TNA Knockouts Championship tonight against Christy Hemme’s unnamed replacement. (Who will most likely be Taylor Wilde).

[spoilers]I am listening to WOL and the host is saying that it will be Taylor. If Kong being injured is true, and if Christy was allowed to wrestle, Christy would have been champ tonight. im not sure if i wanna see kong drop the title due to an inury and be away from TNA for a few monthes....why dont they play the angle that if u are inujred for like a month if must forfeit the title belt...

a month goes by and TNA management takes the womans title back from kong and holds a tournament to decide a ew champion, let it it ODB or roxxi who hasnt held the title yet and they can feud with other woman in TNA and when kong comes back, it would set up a good feud there as well....

Eventhough Christy is good eye candy...we have enough photos & video footage to take care of that problem. As for in the ring, good because she still didn't belong in there at the spot they were pushing her in IMO. As for now, I guess it's a wait & see thing because who's left that Kong didn't already squash or over enough to lead the division? I personally would throw a swerve & have either "Knockout law" herself in Ms. Brooks win the belt or have Raisha turn on Kong.

For those wondering, what TNA said on tonight's PPV regarding Kevin Nash is a shoot. Nash was hospitalized earlier today in Charlotte, NC with a severe staph infection in his elbow and there is a strong fear he may have blood poisoning.

I am told it's a really serious infection and there is a lot of concern backstage for Nash's well being.

Wow. If he really is sick then, I hope he is ok...but if this is another attempt to get out of doing the job, then he should be canned. Seriously, Nash has pulled this shit before (Against the Gaint in WCW, Sabin in TNA, etc), so I wouldn't put it passed him. But this does sound more legit than ''I broke my neck and back while moving funiture". Hope he is ok though.

Wow, 4th time Nash has missed a TNA PPV due to something serious...and if I remember right, a staff infection was the reason he missed his first one back at Lockdown 20005.

TNA Knockouts champ Awesome Kong has suffered a back injury, PWInsider.com has confirmed. She isn't expected out of action long but will be missing the European tour that commences this Friday.

I'm not sure when Kong suffered the injury yet but word was making the rounds during the middle of last week, although I was unable to get a confirmation at that time.
