    Icon1 The Rookie Rankings - Week 2

For last weeks results and an explanation of the thread:

    http://www.pwsforums.com/threads/147...ek-1?p=1691222

Anyway, the second week of NXT is over, not quite as gripping as the phenominal debut show, but that was to be expected. Tougher to pick my rankings I must say, some close battles, but here's Hifo's rankings, which I imagine will differ greatly from each of yours this week:

    1. Wade Barrett
    2. Daniel Bryan
    3. Darren Young
    4. David Otunga
    5. Justin Gabriel
    6. Heath Slater
    7. Skip Sheffield
    8. Michael Tarver

    And my reasons:

    1. Wade Barrett – I liked the package on him, the character, and he got a win over the “star” of NXT
    2. Daniel Bryan – Still one of the guys with the most angle, not as impressive as last week, botched a move, but none the less, no major complaints
    3. Darren Young – Was that his name last week? He got a nice long match and actually looked pretty good, and his storyline is intresting me
    4. David Otunga – He lost, but got an angle going
    5. Justin Gabriel – Got a win, but didn’t excite me much other than his nice 450 splash
    6. Heath Slater – May not have competed, but two segments could be a good sign for this guy, and his “annoying” gimmick might grow on me
    7. Skip Sheffield – He competed, but didn’t catch my attention well
    8. Michael Tarver – Done nothing, shame, I like this guy

Also for the results this week I'll use some graphs to show each guys progress, so get your opinions rolling in

1: Daniel Bryan: I like the guy and he is growing on me and it continued this week. Yes, he lost but he still looked good in the loss. We will see what happens with him next but I really honestly like him.

2: Wade Barret: Got a huge win, and like people have said he has the potential to be a great heel in the future. We will see what happens with him but I like him on the mic, and he is decent in the ring.

3: Darren Young: He finally got to show off what he had in the ring. His finisher looked pretty good but it could have been better I guess. The CM Punk angle does make me intrigued and I think that they could pull it off really well if done right.

4: Justin Gabriel: I have heard good things about him. Would have liked to see him in the ring a little bit more but what he did was good. His finisher as well was pretty impressive.

5: David Otunga: Thought he was better then last week which is good. Like how now there is some tension between him and R-Truth. That could be worked very well.

6: Heath Slater: He is alright in my eyes. Yes, he had a lot of backstage stuff so that could be good. The gimmick is annoying to me and I really do not like it, we will see what else he has but would like more in ring action from him.

7: Skip Sheffield: Not sure about him. I mean yeah he was in the ring but did not impress me at all.

8: Micheal Traver: If used right he could be huge. He has a GREAT gimmick but they need to use it. They need to prove the 1.9 seconds thing or whatever it is, if they capitalize on that he would probably have moved up on my rankings.

    1. Wade Barrett-impressed with his match against Danielson but I'm not as high on him as Reverend is, his promoing was good but I still need to see a lot more to be properly convinced.
    2. Darren Young-Came back with a great win against Otunga, im intrigued to see what will evolve with the Punk relationship but I was impressed with him this week.
    3. Daniel Bryan-He lost but he is certainly being utilised as the most well known rookie, carrying on a storyline from a previous week with his ribs causing him to lose his match this week, makes sense. WWE must see something in him.
    4. Justin Gabriel-Enjoyed his tag match and he got the victory over Regal in an impressive fashion.
    5. David Otunga-Drops a lot because of his loss, but I liked the tension between him and R-Truth, but their 'fight' was probably the worst worked in a long time. It literallly looked like school kids rolling on the floor with each other.
    6. Heath Slater-Did not do too much this week but he still got the win last week, so he is 6th. Liked his segment with Christian though.
    7. Skip Sheffield-I'm not high on Sheffield, I know he isn't meant to really have a personality at this stage considering his background but he didnt save it with his wrestling
    8. Michael Tarver-Didn't do anything this week, so he is automatically last.

    1. Daniel Bryan - Guy knows how to work a match. Also made it look realistic.
    2. Wade Barrett - Good wrestling and mic skills, guy is the second guy I look foward to seeing on NXT
    3. Darren Young - Like last week, the guy is impressive. Sticks with his character and showed he can go in the ring.
    4. David Otunga - The guy showed more this week then last week. Impressed me more so this week.
    5. Justin Gabriel - Didnt see much, but enough to see has great potential.
    6. Skip Sheffield - The guy has a shit gimmick, but he stick with it, so got to give him that.
    7. Heath Slater - Dude needs a revamp or hes not gonna make it.
