Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis was interviewed by Eric Cohen of About.com this week to promote her role on the upcoming "Celebrity Apprentice" NBC show and reveals that Donald Trump himself invited her to participate. "I actually met Donald Trump when he came to the show to do some work with Vince McMahon. He asked me if I wanted to do it and I said that I would love to and it all started from there."

Maria was also asked whether she'd be open to joining TNA, or if she's fully moved on from the wrestling business. "I'm not sure yet to be honest," she said. "I probably had seven different phone calls from companies across the country asking me to come here or go there. I haven't decided. It's such an exciting adventure to be on. It's like I've been born again or something. I'm really trying to figure out what's best for me, what's best for my future, and then go from there.

I think TNA should sign her. She's a very familiar face. Was voted Diva of the Year when she hadn't really been doing much on TV in months leading to that award.
Think of it this way, Maria joining TNA would bring in more WWE fans than turn away current TNA fans.

It's so funny how I would curse WCW everytime they would pick up former WWE talent, but by hook or crook I want to TNA to beat the WWE in the ratings so we can get the best of Vince Mcmahon because I don't think we have been over the past 9 years. Bischoff is a terrible enemy to have, he's like a heel in match who will do anything to win so you better be on your game or he will take every short cut possible to get what he wants. I think the WWE knows TNA is there, just little things like Austin showing up next week, like 4 Wrestlemania rematches and Michael Cole calling Austin "the biggest WWE superstar ever." I love Steve Austin, but he's not the biggest WWE Superstar ever it's Hogan. I also love Shawn Micheals but I cringe just a little when they call him "Mr. Wrestlemania" when I believe no one is more synonmous with Wrestlemania than Hulk Hogan.

For those who are saying 'don't sign her' (probably because you're thinking of more WWE people iN TNA)... look at the big picture. She got released (for at least one reason) because she wanted to do more celebrity apperances. If Maria joins TNA, she'll no doubt havemore freedom to persue her celebrity apperances, which then means she can promote TNA, which means more publicity for the company. And again, she could do Playboy, or modeling magazines again, which means higher publicity for TNA. I think she'll be worth the signing imo.

Unless she's going to replace So Cal Val (who can be easily replaced with what she actually does for the company) then I wouldn't bother because eventhough she does have some celebrity appearences coming up, unless TNA gets better at actually advertising them so people know when they're happening then I don't really see the point.
