Revisting the TNA Debut of Rob Van Dam

Taz says "Hey Mike, what were doing at 4:20 today?" and I think I had the happiest commercial break ever. I was so pumped, that was the sign man, RVD was showing up. Show comes back I am F'N pumped.
The camera is on Sting who's jumping back and forth like he's Brock Lesnar all of sudden. The camera is still on Sting's face and he has this tough guy crow look. Then all you hear is this hardcore dirty guitar pounding into the Impact Zone and the fans EXPLODE with cheers. Sting's face changes immediately like even he was saying "oh my God." You look to the screen and you see the letters and it's certain now, there's no more wondering no turning back now the dude is coming out NOW. "R V D.....THE WHOLE FN SHOW..." The music was sick. Far angle of the Impact Zone you see something charging the ring in the crowd. Close up ....no mistaking it's FN RVD. He purches on the top ropes like a vulture waiting to kill his prey. Sting turns around VINTAGE RVD Kick off the top ropes. Sting falls to the ground Rolling fricking Thunder! Looks as good as ever he goes for the Pin 1 2 3 CROWD ERUPTS again.

Then..........i know iknow he gets a beatdown for like 10 minutes with Sting's bat. I think Van Dam needed to get that win cause he was debuting but they couldn't have Sting looking too bad so they had to make him beat up RVD, which as they wanted got him boos.

RVD hasn't been seen on a major wrestling show since I believe the Royal Rumble of 2009. I watched some of his videos on you tube where he was just chilling and doing an interview show and he seemed really happy. So I thought I may never see him wrestle again. He's not 25 years old anymore so even if he came back could he perform the way he used to? He looked in great shape and agile as ever on Impact from what we did see. And I don't care if he's on a lighter schedule I am super pumped. I have a feeling he is going to be treated a lot better compared to the folks in WWE. TNA is just so happy to have him I think they'll give the man a lot of freedom. And an RVD with no censors on strings attached is an RVD that will steal every show and blow you're frickin mind with every match. Man, it's a great time to be a wrestling fan. This year 2010 is going to be sick. "R.....V.....D......T he Whole F'N Show!"

Let's hope TNA uses him better than WWE did. I like to see the original ECW RVD we all know and love allowed to just run loose in TNA.

Still dosent have half the pop as the first jeff hardy debut. Imho i think andersons debut was 10x better. Now how much you wanna bet that rvd wont have a match or even screen time. He's just gonna do a pay per play setup.

That was a pretty loud pop for RVD I don't remember anything being that loud all due respect to J. Hardy.

I think The Jan 4th crowd were louder overall, not just for Hardy but RVD's pop was also huge and went on and on, usually when a guy gets beatdown the crowd go quiet but not here

RVD might recover just in time for the next live show and hopefully we get a good, long match

i personally think it was a badly botched debut because that beat down went on far too long.

BUT... rvd is in tna and as soon as he gets in the ring for a proper match no-one will care. im just glad he's back...
