Well, here's a brief overview of my picks for the NBA this upcming season:

Best Record (regular season): Miami Heat
Do I think they'll reach 70? No. 67,68,69 or so. I do not think they hit 70.

Top 4 seeds in both conferences (bc really, beyond that, who knows. Who saw the Bucks or Thunder getting in last year? Not me)

    West
    1. Lakers
    2. Thunder
    3. Blazers
    4. Jazz

    East
    1. Heat
    2. Bulls
    3. KNICKS (I think they get Melo mid-season. I don't think Denver will put up with the whole leaving thing like Cleveland did with LeBron)
    4. Magic

-I think the Bulls/Knicks/ Magic will only be about a game or so away from each other.
-Look for the Hawks to be improved, of course. I see them trading with a team mid season for a true center. Maybe Sacramento with that depth of big men?
-Boston is always in it of course, but I think their age keeps them out of the top 4 seeds. I don't think Boston cares about seeding anyways though, honestly.

    Suprise teams?
    -The Nets
Alot better. I expect the Derrick Favors/ Brook Lopez thing to work great, and Devin Harris is leaps and bounds better than how he played last year.
    -Wizards
Better. Keep in mind I'm saying better. JaVale McGee is developing, Aundray Blatche was tearing it up last year, John Wall is the new face of their franchise. As soon as they get rid of Gilbert, I think JaVale McGee and John Wall are the future of this franchise.
    - The Pistons
They should be good if Charlie V and Ben Gordon can play up to their contracts like they should, and the addition of the big man from Georgetown they might even slip into the playoffs. 8 seed? Maybe.
    -Memphis
OJ Mayo, Rudy Gay, Hasheem Thabeet, Mike Conley. This team has potential. They showed glimpses of what they CAN achieve this last season. Will this be a year in which the team breaks out? (It definitely can, see 2009-2010 Thunder).
    -Philly
I honestly think Evan Turner can carry this team. Plus Thaddeus Young and Jrue Holliday are no slackers themselves. Do I think they'll be good? Not really, but I don't think they'll be bad. Doug Collins is a good coach too, watch out.

    Regular Season Awards
    - NBA MVP: Kevin Durant.
Need any explanation? Watch him play. He's only gonna get better.
    - NBA 6th man of the year: Nate Robinson
Always difficult to forecast, but on an aging and probably not caring about the regular season Boston team, I think Nate Robinson will be the one to step up his game and score in bunches to win Boston some games that without his energy off the bench they would not win. However, this award is like a shot in the dark. Before the season who saw Jamal Crawford winning the award last year?
    - NBA Most Improved Player: Eric Gordon
I honestly think the Clippers are 8 seed worthy in the west. Look at the team on paper. Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Chris Kaman. I think Eric Gordon steps his game up big time this year and wins this award. But, maybe not. After all, it's the Clippers.
-NBA Rookie of the Year: Evan Turner
I see the Sixers starting lineup this year as probably: Jrue Holliday, Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young, Elton Brand, Spencer Hawes. Evan Turner is getting the keys to the car, and become the face of this franchise. But the car is a beat up peace of shit built on wasted money. See Elton Brand. Oh yeah, wheres Iguodala? traded.

Potential worst teams in the league?
    -The Pacers
Not gonna win this year. I can't see them having a good season by any means. Matter of fact I see them as the Lottery Winner with the worst record.
    -The Nuggets
Melo leaves, JR Smith gets tradded, Chauncey gets too old. That's how I see this team's season. Are they terrible? No. But I see this team crumbling and entering a rebuilding stage.
    -Toronto
Turkoglu is gone. They sunk stupid money into Amir Johnson. Who do they have, really? Jose Caulderon? That's about it. Next.
    -T'Wolves
no explanation necessary. this team isn't even worth capitalization. darko milicic 20 mil? get real. the t'wolves are horrible, and they are wasting cash on players who clearly aren't nba worthy. michael beasley, darko milicic, etc. can they be good? of course, these guys have potential to be stars. do i think they will? HELL no.
    -Cleveland
Antawn Jamison are the leaders of this team. Next they're gonna put the team HQ on quicksand. Not any mistake by the Cavs, it's not their fault LeBron bolted. Byron Scott wants to play uptempo basketball, so Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison can thrive in that, so maybe they won't be like ABSOLUTELY horrible.

I agree with your whole post besides your west picks here are mine

    1. La of course
    2. Mavs
    3. Suns they got 2 great playes this off season in hedo and childress
    4. Okc

Reason why i dont think jazz or blazers will lbe that high in the west because with jazz booxzer is gone and i think that will affect williams play in the season i mean sloan loves the pick and roll wit no boozer that will be hard. Now with blazers i like andre miller but the rest of the team is way to young in 2 or 3 years i can see them that high in the west but just not right now. And in my opinion Amir johnson is a great player who can crash boards and runs the floor really well so i dont think they wasted money with him and raptors as a team will make the playoffs jack jose and andre will be great together.

Magic will be higher than the 4th seed.

I agree with you about the T'Wolves. They even gave up Al Jefferson. Also, I'd go as far as to say that Memphis will seed pretty high.

Yea twoles did make a big mistake by giving up their franchise player and i dont see memphis even winning their division because mavs, spurs and rockets will all have a better season. And magic will not be higher then 4 even if they are they will choke when it matters most like always.

Keep in mind I said they'd only be a few games within each other. It could be

    1. Heat
    2. Magic
    3. Bulls
    4. Knicks

or any other combination of 2-4. I think they'll be very close. Maybe One team be 56 wins, another, 58, and the last 59 or 60? Regardless I think the East will be close

The heat will def have the first seed. Boston is just getting older and slower although they still have the talent, especially their starters. Orlando is the most serious contender in the east. Chicago could be a dominant player this year in the playoffs but they still lack a closer. their best player is carlos boozer or derrick rose. I'd rather have dwight howard, dwyane wade, or lebron james before either of those guys from chicago. I will gladly look forward to chicago vs miami because lebron and wade (one of them) could've gone to chicago but decided not to.

Well in the nba nothing is certain but i mean if cavs can be first then i guess heat could but i dont think heat will will be first i would prolly say celtics will be first. and you forgot about noah who is a key part on the defensive end and you forget about deng and gibson but boozer can be a closer if you post him up and his turn aroung jump shot is pretty good and as soon as rose get's his jumpshot down he will be a closer in the playoffs.

Sorry but ray allen and paul pierce are too slow to keep up with lebron james who is only 26 and dwyane wade.. sorry.. i just dont see it happening. Deng is a nothing. He is not who he once was. I havent seen Luol deng do anything good in this whole past year. Rose is their saving grace. He's not Rajon Rondo but he's a pretty good point guard nonetheless. Noah again doesnt bring much.. only passion. He's not great defensively. He's average.

To say deng is nothin is crazy and and no one can stay with Ray when he comin of screens and doc will come up with something like he always does and all you saying is these three players who is gone to guard shaq no one who is goin to guard j oneal no one and no one on that team can stop Rondo. Noah is not just heart you must not watch much basketball he blocks 2 blocks per game the gut averaged 11 rebounds per games so its not just passion he brings.

I didnt see him do much against cleveland in the playoffs.. rose had breakotu night with 30+ points in 2 games was it? thats something. LMAO jermaine oneal is awful. He went 1 for like 20 in the playoffs.. he completely scrubbed when he was needed the most. JO is old and useless, which is why hes not making 10 million like he was.. he's making 5 cause he totally did not live up to expectations. During the regular season he was alright. In the playoffs he was a complete bust. Of course noah is gonna average 11 rebounds per game.. he's the fricking center. Rebounds arent as important as blocks and points are. And just so you know Dwade gets 6-8 rebounds per game and he's a fricking guard. And he averages almost 2 blocks per game.. and he's a guard. So that means noah should be doing more than this. Well i guess not cause wade has the talent.

I mean man heat have no big men which means dwight will smash them and j oneal is not awful he averaged 13 points per game. heat has no bench and i bet lbj and wades ego about who is the star will cause problems and end up like kobe and shaq. and i like how you dont even mention Bosh who is one of the best big men in the nba but he is their center which is bad because he is to short to guard five's

Did you read my post? I said JO was decent in the regular season and shit in the playoffs. And just so you know JO and Shaq are gonna fail in comparison to Dwight howard and joakim noah. Miami is weak at the center position yes, but every other position (minus point guard) they will dominate. Miami doesnt have a bench?

Mike miller - 3 point shooter
Udonis haslem - good defender and average offensive scorer
    Big Z - good defender
Eddie house - 3 point shooter
mario chalmers - 3 point shooter (but inconsistent)
James jones - 3 point shooter and average defender
Dexter pittman - rookie center that has a lot of potential

We got a better bench than boston who only has nate robinson and crybaby davis as i call him.. although i kinda now feel bad for him cause he got knocked the fuck out by dwight howard in the playoffs. Shaq did nothing for cleveland. JO wont be productive as much (probably more than perkins but perkins was a solid defender).

I'm scared by orlando's bench. They have a good bench. JJ Reddick is a good scorer (assuming he comes off the bench). Mikael Pietrus is a good defender and can shoot 3s. Chris Duhon is now the backup PG.. he's better than Jason williams. Brandon Bass is a decent post presence and the other PF Ryan anderson can shoot the 3 (not as consistent but still can).

Ibut and that pittman guy is not good at all and cant guard dwight or any other 5 for that matter. and all heat has is 3 point shooters miller can play defense seen him gett out classed plenty of times in washington same with house and jones. and magic i dont if you agree but they could have used bass alot better with me bein a mavs fan i know he has alot of talent. jj is nice and pietrus is great because i remember he killed my mavs he hit like 6 threes in a row i think but all im sayin is besides heat starters the rest of the team besides mike and haslem are not good but thats just my opinion. And also i forgot to ask who is your fav nba team if you have one.
