I'll go first with Percy Watson!:
5/10.
Clearly not the biggest thing in wrestling, But still a good wrestler. I highly praised Watson when he started on NXT but unfortunately, He seems to be green and has lost what magic he had when he first started. I once thought he could win NXT, But as I watched more of him it became obvious that he wasn't as good as I first thought. It was a massive shame since his gimmick is already in place. I can see him returning to the WWE roster in a year or so, But that's if he can wait and learn some more.
I thought he could have been good for awhile but he just seems like he lost his luster. He had some good matches with Christian for the ECW title but that was about it. When he first came in he became a Tag Team Champion and I think that was too much too soon. He has a very good, character but right now it is pretty much useless because he is not used and he probably won't be used. He needs to be used because he is cocky and brash. He has some good wrestling skills but I put him so low because he just hasn't made an impact where you can truly say you know who Zack Ryder is.
The man is a work horse and really knows how to put on a realistic and believable match with anyone. One of the few who not only work in the ring, but also is very talented on the mic. Will he every get a chance at being world champion, I dont know. Do I hope one day, hell yeah I do. The man deserves more then what hes getting at the current moment.
When he first came in I could see big things from him but then he seemed to kind of lose it. I think that he is good in the ring but nothing special right now. On the mic he is not that great and I know it is hard to say that but I just think he needs more work. The best part of him right now is his gimmick and I think that he could use it very well. Hopefully at some point he will be huge but right now he needs more work.
I think he's exceptionally underrated and really shockingly underrused. He has bags of talent but only gets to showcase them on very rare occasions. In 2001 his feuds with Y2J were absolutely classic, he is a technical mastermind and has the looks and talks like a classic heel. He can get heat very easily but maybe in the wwe his time has passed unfortunately as I cannot see him being used other than a comedy character.
Wow, I am being harsh on my grades thus far. Anyways, I think Gallows is big like the WWE likes them but I just don't think he is one of the good big guys. The SES has helped him a lot although now it seems like that is going to end or something because of how they are teasing it. When he first entered the WWE he wasn't anything special and I didn't see big things from him. Now it is the same way and I just think that he needs to stay in the Gallows persona because I think that is the best for him. As for title opportunities I don't see much in his future, maybe Tag but that's about it.
Very impressed with him and a big fan of what he can do athletically, hes very very gifted and although he is primarily known for being a high flyer and doing alot of crazy spots in matches he can also wrestle when given the opportunity to do so. I don't feel we've seen the best of him yet however but that has nothing to do with him personally, I just don't feel that creative have given him the chance to be the breakout star he could be. He had a mini feud with Orton in late 2009 but apart from that I believe that real good chances of Kofi being able to establish himself as a mainevent star have fallen few and far inbetween. however hopefully in the future more opportunities will come his way
Next Wrestler: M.V.P (Should be an interesting one I think)
I was going to wait for someone else to do this one but I thought hey I might as well.
MVP: 7/10
I like MVP hence the 7. When I first saw him with his first gimmick I thought it was pure gold. They should have stayed with that but times change. Anyways, he had a good feud with Matt Hardy, and I thought it helped both of them along. MVP just seems like a natural heel because he could draw heat that way, now as a face he hasn't been able to do anything because the fans seem pretty much dead for him when he comes out to the ring. I think that he needs to go back to a hell because he works so much better that way. MVP, I think can be a Champion at some point, but as a World Champion I don't think so because the fans don't buy into him. He has talent, in the ring but on the mic he is a little iffy for me. But, he still has time to develop and I think that if used right he can be pretty damn good.
Next Wrestler: Wade Barrett (I think this will be interesting).
Honestly, the kid has it all. He can work in the ring. He can definitely talk on the microphone. Heis the complete package and I LOVE how he has been built Someone said that theyw orry that if Barrett had a title reign, he would be booked weak with Nexux helping him keep the belt, but I don't see that. He just got a huge pinfall last Raw on Randy Orton to win that big tag match main event, and I think they are really booking him strong as the leader of Nexux. On top of that, he's a fearless heel because he doesn't care who he faces whether it be Sheamus or Cena or whoever. He reminds me of Triple H circa 1999-2000.
One thing I worry about is his character's versatility. Can Wade Barrett be a top babyface with enough development? I just worry about his accent and I honestly worry if the mainstream wrestling crowd (non IWC) can get behind him and like him as a face.
However, he has the tools to be a major player in the main event for a VERY long time, and I like how he has been built quickly and yet not rushed too much. He won't be booked like Swagger was, and that's a great thing.
Next wrestler: R-Truth
Newest accomplishment additions: 2011 FWA mod of the year and 2011 FWA writer of the year
Rey Mysterio Jr. is the most overrated wrestler in history.
Even in his TNA days he was always fairly one dimensional as a wrestler. He's flashy but doesn't seem to have a very good grounding in wrestling. This really hurts a lot of his matches, as he doesn't have the skill to adapt his rather limited moveset or to put on longer matches. Sounds harsh but honestly I think that the guy has gone as high as he can in WWE. His rapper gimmick seems to be over (I suppose because it's quite interactive) but he lacks the ring and mic skills to go much further.
Dolph is the kind of guy that you either like or hate in my eyes. I like him and I think he is a good asset to the WWE. In the Spirit Squad you could see that he would be a big thing along with Kenny Dykstra although it didn't happen for Kenny it is happening for him. Him with the IC title is a good move because I think that he can have good feuds with it. He is a pretty decent wrestler and he is alright on the mic and I think that is why they had Vickie team with him so he could have a mouth piece. I can see him MAYBE being a big star in the future but right now he is in the perfect place.
Like it has been said before - He is not believable. When I see him all I see is somebody playing a character instead of being one. He would be a good heel in an indy company, but not WWE. He is pretty good at wrestling, but still not that great. Maybe go back to FCW and work on his gimmick to make it more believable. Get rid of that varsity jacket. There's no way he can make it playing some high school jock bully gimmick or whatever. And get rid of the TKO as a finisher. It has been used so many times. That's like using the complete shot as a finisher or a big boot.
Shannon is just one of those guys who really need someone to cling on to. He has always been apart of groups and just cant get over on his own. His high point was his run with Matt hardy and he really didnt do much then. Also probably only sign with TNA because of his closeness to Jeff. I cant really think of anything to write cause he has not done anything of magnitude in his career. No disrespect to the guy, but to me he is a carbon copy of the Hardys.
I gave him a six because I think he is the type of guy that will do anything for you. I just think that you need people like that in your company and that guy is Goldust. He could complain all the time but I have never heard anything from him. When he first came to the WWE he did well and he had some good feuds for the IC title. His character has evolved and it has worked every single time. Goldust, is damn good and I think that he will never win the World Title but still he should be proud of what he has done in the WWE.
No offense, but he would probably still be in FCW if he didn't have a famous fiance (Jennifer Hudson). Otunga was complemented for his mic skills and swagger during NXT, but he hasn't shown the arrogance since the show ended. Nexus is very serious business, so Otunga hasn't shown us much since NXT season 1. On the other hand, the other rookies are really stepping it up. Slater is doing well in the ring, Tarver has improved dramatically on the mic, and even Gabriel cut a good promo on the Sept 6th Raw before his match against Cena. So being okay on the mic isn't enough. Who knows, maybe he'll be okay in a tag team. So 3/10 till he steps it up in the ring.
