2011 WWE Release Thread

The NXT show is so under the radar right now that they could fire Yoshi, just drop the storyline, and nobody would notice. It's not the first time WWE has fired someone in the middle of of a irrelevant unimportant storyline which the Maryse one is. Good theories but I just don't see any of these really happening for these characters as they've had plenty of time for Primo & A.J. right after the NXT season but they didn't unlike the previous alliances of Riley/Miz & recently Clay/Del Rio so that alliance is pretty much dead. Ted/Goldust has been dead for months as well with Dibiase being a jobber (just don't see him being released because of his name & don't want to ruin the relationship with his dad) & Goldust has already been talking retirement so just don't see that happening as well with WWE putting in so much effort into a storyline that's not on their main two shows. Jackson/Kozlov is possible but they did it already on ECW & just don't see them going back to it.

WWE released former NXT talents Michael Tarver and Jacob Novak over the weekend.

Tarver was on the original cast of NXT, and was a founding member of the Nexus.

Novak was on the most recent season of NXT, and had a mini-feud with William Regal before his elimination.

WWE has released the following developmental talents: Buddy Stretcher, Buck Dixon and Ethan Levine.

Earlier today it was confirmed that the company released NXT talents Michael Tarver and Jacob Novak.

Figured Tarver had been released, considering he changed his twitter. Can't say I'm surprised... the guy was best known for stalking people in the background of segments.

Tarver was one of the most well rounded guys in Nexus perhaps behind only Barrett & Gabriel. How he's gone while Otunga, McBore-cutty, Slater and Darren Young still have jobs is ridiculous.

Agreed, i mean i know Skip is still out but they were perfect as a Tag Team. And with Novak, it sucks cause they could have had him continue his feud with Regal by saying Regal rigged NXT so that he would lose again

Second generation star Wes Brisco was removed from the roster page of WWE developmental FCW yesterday, a likely sign that he was released by WWE as well. Brisco, the son of Gerald Brisco, looked to have a good aptitude for the business in appearances I've seen.

I doubt Brisco is gone. They might be moving him to the main roster. I haven't seen him wrestle, but I thought he was supposed to be pretty good.

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of WWE SmackDown Superstar Chavo Guerrero as of today, June 25, 2011. We wish Guerrero the best in all future endeavors.

That is kind of big in a way. Chavo never really got used much in the WWE the way he should have been. Maybe he will be used backstage or something.

wow Chavo is finally gone, that sucks. Always felt he could have been so much more, Tarver was also one of the best members of Nexus but I'm not surprised he was let go.

Thats a shame, Chavo ran with the ball everytime he was breifly given it, one of those guys that if the writing team wasnt as inept as a group of crackheads could have done really well, he did a better job of seeming like an upper level talent than Mysterio does.

I think Chavo is up there with the most underused talents ever. He was great in the ring, pretty good on the mic, but has had so many bad gimmicks I can't count them anymore.

"Yes, it's true. My release is the big news I was talking about. But let's get something straight. I asked for my release. I was just tired of not being used correctly. Just cuz u can make other ppl look good, doesn't mean they should just have u lose to them. The same thing Happened to Eddie. After being champ, they still had him working mid card status. Being a Guerrero, we've been taught since diapers to get the most out of ppl & matches. It's our gift, but also our curse. WWE has always used us to make other ppl look good. It all comes down to Being happy. I was not happy in WWE anymore. I had a smile on my face last night though when I got my release though! now it's time for for me to start being a Guerrero again, and start kicking ass again, be able to tell stories in the ring like u know we can. win or lose. I will never go back to the place WWE put me in. I will never go back to being under utilized and watching ppl who suck get bigger 'pushes.' than me! Thank u to all of u who stuck by me & kept reminding me, I was better than that! stay tuned.. Big things coming!! Now I will really be able to entertain u! like me or hate me, 1 thing I have always tried to do is entertain u and give u fans your $ worth. My hands were tied most of the time. Have to love when a guy gets released and the freedom it gives them to speak their mind and not be a puppet. He raises a very good point though as we've seen with CM Punk similarly, WWE loves to use the actual talents in their company to make those that get Vince hot in his old man diapers look good.
