WrestleMania 27 on DVD and Blu-ray has a number of edits. These have been found so far:

    – There are a few edits to the Cole-Lawler match, such as cutting out Austin giving Michael Cole the middle finger during his entrance.

    – Triple H’s entrance to Metallica’s “For Whom The Bell Tolls” has been replaced with an in-house rendition of the theme.

    – The Undertaker’s entrance to “Ain’t No Grave” by Johnny Cash has been replaced with his usual theme song.

    – The crowd booing after the choir ends their performance for John Cena’s entrance has been removed.

    – Triple H’s Hall of Fame speech on HBK reportedly lasted about an hour. In the DVD it’s only 30 minutes long.

Here are all the confirmed details we know so far regarding WWE: The Greatest Cage Matches of All Time DVD.

Format: It will be a 3-Disc DVD set, no Blu-ray release.

Catalog: The catalog number will be WWE94931.

Release date: It hits stores in North America on June 28th, and reportedly in August for Europe (if buying here).

Synopsis: Some of the greatest rivalries end with brutal cage matches that keep the combatants in the ring and interference out. For decades, steel-cage matches have been one of the most popular matches in every wrestling company, including WWE, WCW, ECW, Smokey Mountain, AWA, WCCW, and more. This 3-disc set collects the greatest steel cage matches in history.

Content: Silvervision just confirmed that NWA World Heavyweight Championship match ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair vs. Lex Luger at WCW Capital Combat 1990, will be included on the set. That is the only match revealed so far.

    WWEDVDNews.com

That match used that big "Thundercage" structure that was an early version of WWE's Hell In A Cell but I also remember the ending was completely stupid as the matched ended in a disqualification because of outside intereference...yes, A DISQUALIFICATION FOR OUTSIDER INTERFERENCE IN A CAGE MATCH WHICH DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF A CAGE MATCH

Another change to WWE’s upcoming “Top 50″ moments DVD.

It was originally planned to be The 50 Biggest Matches in WWE History, but recently had it’s concept changed to The 50 Most Shocking, Surprising & Amazing Moments in WWE History. As expected that last extra-long title is no more.

OMG! – The Top 50 Incidents In WWE History is the latest title, confirmed and scheduled right now.

It will be released first on August 23rd to North America, and is being produced or both DVD and Blu-ray formats.

Given the new title we could imagine Joey Styles being used as the host, what do you think?

WWEDVDNews can now exclusively reveal the planned cover art for WWE: The Greatest Cage Matches of All Time DVD!

This 3-Disc DVD set (WWE94931) hits stores in North America on June 28th, and in August to Europe via Silvervision.co.uk.

Since there is a cage match almost every month they probably have over 200 to choose from, even more if you include all companies.

"We’re fighting because Anderson doesn’t want to fight me. Anderson trained with Munoz, he got destroyed by Munoz, he doesn’t want to fight Mark. Ed Soares, Anderson’s manager, worked diligently behind the scenes to make Mark and I fight each other. So I don’t have a big problem fighting Mark. my resentment is that Anderson got his way.”

No ECW matches???? Weren't they advertising that ECW cage matches were to be included. Set looks weak. Too many repeats....

    check this during the description:

WWE, WCW, ECW, Smokey Mountain, AWA, WCCW, and more.

Out of all the Steel Cage Matches they had to choose from there are a lot of matches they left off, but still a pretty good collection if a little WWE heavy, which is of course I suppose to be expected!

The Abby/Brody match is a pleasant surprise though!

I'll be buying this one me thinks...

They did the same thing for their "Greatest Tag Teams" & "Ladder Match" DVD's as well so I just never buy the hype until I see the tracklist. I don't like many of the repeats but there are more matches I don't have than ones I do so I'll have to rent this & copy the ones I want.

Chris Benoit is briefly shown a few times in the new Nitro DVD, and eerily even in the same segments as Woman (Nancy Benoit). However there are no full matches of his and for those segments where he is shown any commentary referring to Benoit is muted.

A few WWE superstars have had the chance to watch the DVD and have took to Twitter to give their thoughts on it.

CM Punk: Watching some of the new Nitro DVD. The Russo stuff is unwatchable. Rick Fuller is in the ring though, so that’s cool.

WadeBarrett: Long flight home today gave me a chance to watch some of the new Best of WCW Nitro DVD. Very enjoyable so far.

According to FYE’s website there will be a version of Very Best of WCW Nitro DVD that is exclusive to them. No word yet on what that is, but the product page says 3-Disc set so it’s unlikely to be a bonus disc.

Default Chris Benoit On WWE’s Nitro DVD

The late Chris Benoit is shown a few times in WWE’s forthcoming The Very Best of WCW Monday Nitro DVD (scheduled for release on June 7), and even in the same segments as Woman.

However, no full matches of Benoit are included in the DVD, not to mention that in segments where he is shown, commentary referring to “The Crippler” is muted.
