Okay. So I've apparently gotten the attention of the Siege. Phase 1 complete, and now we move to phase 2. But seriously, people tore into Charon this week, and I loved every minute of it. I haven't been this hated since I announced the death of Michael. Ah good memories. But onto reviews, for those who left me one.

Kennedy- Wow. I'd like to state first that you picked a song I truly enjoy, and you have my thanks for that. I listened to it while I read it, and it fit nicely. Kudos on that fact. You definitely went headhunting with this promo, paying specific attention to Devin and Charon. You made some nice points, made your emotions felt clearly as you spoke. I appreciate that you think I'm competition, but I rarely am that good in championship matches. Haven't won one to date, save Diehl's victory for the YL title. I apologize for the cookie cutter like section on you in the Charon Promo, but you'll see why I did that later. Personally, I know you are the next big thing here.

Drazin: And they call me twisted. Nice visuals, and a semi standard approach with a twist to the mountain that is Stu St. Clair. Stiff competition, and I'm pretty sure this one will be very close. This should have been a ME for a PPV. I like how you came at him in the expected way, but stating that it didn't matter whether you won or lost. It showed the character and nature of this fight, as you weren't thinking beyond this fight, but you expected there to be more. It was a nice poetic description of the fight in the beginning. As to your statement about the title, Charon (or his true identity when he is unmasked) may come to call for a match with you, but rest assured, it won't be for a title. I would treat the match like I did with Servin vs Boudreau. As to me tearing into the Great Siege, I kind of had to considering I had no allies on my own team. I had to come full bore or they would have destroyed me.

Princeton: I have never truly gotten the idea of Princeton's history, though in this case it actually made sense. You were comparing Eddy to Rebel, highlighting the entire experience with him being killed by you in the end. It was meant as a metaphor for how your match with Rebel would end, and that was a brilliant act of literature. It was subtle, yet set a tone. The beginning run in with Tabby kind of threw off the rhythm of the promo in all honesty, as it sort of showcased a gentler side of Princeton, when most of the promo was directed at a sense of disdain for Rebel. Otherwise a decent promo, leaning a bit toward the stronger side for Princeton.

Zaire: Never knew you hated Michael so much. I mean seriously, the guy considered you one of his friends. Well, I guess it just goes to show that people are never as close as they appear. OOO, promo idea there. Thanks Matt. But I felt this promo was a more laid back promo, but you did hit quite a few points of interest. I like the casual feel of him going into the match. It isn't so much confidence as just seeming to go through the motions of the match. This was a blast to read after the seriousness of all the previous ones.

Kennedy: You really are coming into your own and what others said, should be in the main event scene soon. I really like how he's being a little less of a cocky ass and how your being way more descriptive and using less pics too. This was one of the best I've read of all of yours, as you weaved everything into it more. There was really no stand out parts that didn't need to be there, flowed nicely and you touched on many aspects, showing why Kennedy should/will win. Oh and yeah this Stu match has been festering for a good two years, so had to make it good.

And Charon, or whoever he is, will gladly be accepted by Drazin for a match anytime, anywhere. After all you are keeping those siege guys occupied so Drazin doesn't have to beat on them anymore..lol..plus you laid out Gabrielle..that's a plus..haha

Okay here are some more promo reviews.

Stu St. Clair: A good promo from Stu liked to see Stu struggle with his attitude and feelings but ultimately come down to the fact that he cares little about the outside forces his desire to win is enough for him to want to destroy Drazin even if a small part of him could feel pity for Drazin's situation.

Maddie: So wait Dinorah and Maddie are a?....How did my perverted mind miss this?!! Still liked the promo for what it was though it was more of a sexual energy promo. It was nice.

Anthony: an interesting almost Batman like promo (except Batman would fight for Gotham or in this case Fight night). I like the character depth it added with Anthony not feeling Fight Night was worth it in its state that he just wanted to beat Alexx for himself, yet he stays face in this promo just a frustrated face who is competitive. A good solid promo.

Drazin: What a brutal promo. Drazin and Stu based on both promos seem to have a macho respect for each other but also want to kill each other and Drazin continues to show what kind of wrestler he is in the fact he just wants to really screw Stu up because he's in a match with him and he can.

Dinorah: Wow this was a great promo! When I first read Sara's promo I was thinking "Wow there's the Sara I knew idk if Dinorah can hang with that." But of course I was proven wrong by the promo. Bringing up the history between you and Sara was smart especially considering Dinorah has won the previous 2 times. It did drag a bit, was a lot of dialogue from just Dinorah, could have been broken up a bit better still it was a great promo.

Rebel: I expected a little more fire from Rebel but this was a decent promo IMO. Rebel wasn't tame by any means and for sure is growing a new edge to him.

Devin/Carmine/Cross: Joint promos can be amazing, and I am saying this with as little bias as possible I do not feel this joint promo worked. It was dominated by Devin and I also couldnt help but wonder why Charon wasn't in the mix? I mean if you're gonna go all out do it! On the same coin I feel Charon is so mysterious he wouldn't be with the group anyway. Still I found this to be a bit odd and just thin in the end.

Gabrielle: Of the sexually charged descriptions of Gabby are always appreciated but I liked the dark almost shakesperian tone that Gabrielle took towards Stu. With the added element of JoJI to previous matches Gabrielle was taking a lighter but still brutal tone. Here she is just mean and cold and yet confident and sexy.

XXX: Didn't realize until reading this that you have been in the FWA for almost a year that is a lot of dedication and hard work that has finally paid off for you. I liked the back and forth between Andrew and XXX, I know you don't have a lot to go off of with Juan so this was a solid promo in my eyes.

Charon: Now this was a good promo, Charon has been one of those floating by just getting past opponents and just giving up quite honestly half assed promos until recently and I really enjoyed this promo the psyche and character of Charon is cool and I like how the promo flowed it engaged me. Some parts were a bit meh but overall it was a strong promo and one I liked reading.

PAJ: One of the better PAJ promos I've read in a while you did your history on Rondo which I appreciate. You made fun of his nickname but also drew similarities between you and him which you used to your advantage. A good job.

Ryan Rondo: This was a fun promo to read, went after PAJ and told a nice story in the promo. The voiceover was a nice touch it was a bit corny but in a good way you made it your own and it worked very well.

Wolf: Unlike your Sara promo this wasn't too long it was just at the right pace, you and Gabby have history and you went over that as well as why you want to beat her so badly and why this match is important to you. Gave a raw emotional feel to Wolf which always works for his passionate character, you can see his crazed eyes as he speaks. Splendid job.

Alexx: Fantastic job with this promo, maybe a bit too long but still fantastic! Alexx comes out and uses TV to break down the TV champion and makes a point to draw the correlation between the two. That's great use of creativity, we've seen the fake or even real Oprah before in promos and that was a little stale but you still made it fun and gave Alexx good set ups to go after Anthony.

Those are my reviews would appreciate reviews of Princeton and or Zaire.

Second part of reviews. (I told you I would).

Stu St. Clair: Great promo from you as always. The setting was damn good and hitting on Drazin was one of the best I have seen. Also, just loved how you said that you don't care about the Siege, and also talking about Micah was pretty damn good.

Madison: Hmmm...that promo was stimulating Good job.

Anthony: Good promo from you. I liked how you talked about how Fight Night isn't worth fighting for anymore. I thought that was a good place to go with it. Also talking about Alexx and how he got in the way of Carmine and Thomas was a nice touch.

Duke Drazin: Great promo. The images just seemed to fit the promo so damn well. Also you ripped into Stu, but not in a conventional name calling way. Just I'm still in shock how good this promo truly was.

Dinorah Redgrave: Nice promo. I liked how you nailed Sara and said that she is falling. Also loved how you brought in how you said that you weren't welcomed with open arms when you joined the FWA. The one part that didn't fit was when the couple came jogging by. It was just there you could have probably done without it.

The Rebel Bad Ass: No substance to this promo at all. I know you are going to go with a different gimmick but this promo just didn't seem that great at all. I just didn't like it and I know you can bring more to the table.

Gabrielle: Shows why she is the champion. Adding JoJi has been a great move. She has gotten better with him and that is a damn scary thought.

XXX: Short and to the point. I love the cocky attitude you have. Saying that you can beat anyone anytime anywhere. I like it. Nice promo and shows why you have the title.

Charon: Good promo. The talking about your opponents was pretty good. I thought you could have nailed them a little more. What you said APAB was good but I thought that could have been dealt with more. But good job nonetheless our match should be pretty good.

PAJ: A nice heel promo. Nailing Anthony was good, and the same thing with Rondo. I have always liked PAJ as a heel better and this shows me why.

Ryan Rondo: Very creative promo. Looking back at a promo never sure if that has happened before, and let me be honest you nailed it. Great work.

Wolf: Glad you are back and this promo shows me why.

Alexx: Being the North American Champion has def made you step up your game. I really liked this promo and I think that you have a shot of holding that title for a long time.

Zaire Wyoming: One of the best promos from you in sometime. I loved how you hit on Carmine, it was damn good and it was pretty funny as well. Great work.

Wow, a lot of GREAT promos this week. Everyone stepped up their game. I hope to hell these are just a taste of promos for what will happen at BIB. Great work all of you.

not to sound like a dick.
but rebel card been up for a week. you said sweet looking card or stacked card. it wasn't a clusterfuck. it clearly shows you one on one with thomas princeton. it doesn't show you in a tag match for a fatal fourway. above the match would say tag match or fatal four way above it. if you were that confused why did you wait last minute to check? could have simply sent a pm to myself, the golden one, killswitch instead of just waiting with matt. the fault lies on you. nobody else got confused by the card..

    reviews

Johnny Octaine: good intro can’t comment more in detail against an actual opponent

Nolee: not bad at all. What I can say to help you improve is going in detail about your char. What make her tick and all the jazz.

Sara Wolf: wow, ex-husband now. I thought Sara would distraught but isn’t. She is bitter with all the reasons in the world to be. She lost her title. Blamed for the destruction of women’s division. Now her husband brutally attacks her on crossfire. Now she is without her soul mate. Just heavy in the right sense with Sara. She isn’t exactly thrilled about Redgrave having it in her eyes to easy. She is living her dream while Sara has been living in a nightmare. Well done.

James ‘Eyesnane’ Hughes: First off you grown as a promo writer since you started. I like the flow of the promo. Up in XXX grill about what he has been up to and how he has been feeding bs to crowd. I can see why you made into the money in the bank match at back in business VI.

Thomas Princeton: First thing I think Princeton’s arrogance has risen since getting the North American title for a second time along with getting Katie. I think you really found your stride in this feud with Carmine along with Alexx. You have really found your niche and it’s going to get better. Once you find that niche and this goes to everyone you are set. Just need inspiration and results will come. Princeton being Russia in 2002 makes me think he wasn’t there to buy any submarines lol. Rather maybe some fine Russian vodkas. Reading of Princeton Russia makes me wonder what his job was before becoming a wrestler or joining FWA for that matter.

Chris Kennedy: All I say is well not much lol. Just fantastic setting chilling with Zaire. Really like the way you incorporate media into your promos be it the twitter, the facebook, the myspace(?) or what have you. It comes quite well. Chris dissecting the insider was good. Reminds me of tying to think here. The wrestling observer got ripped a new one on national television by a wrestling company. I’m trying to remember which one. Any who the dissection of opponent quite well done. To think only been around what 6-7 somewhere around there. If you don’t got gold now I will be surprised as you are doing very well.

APAB: I am attracted by both Dan and Andrew’s arrogance. The depiction of their competition was well done. Not much I can really add on to.

Madison: Imagery...I am such a pig lol. Constructed alright but I seem to have my mind in the gutter.

Anthony: Well done. I am remember back at Aces High during grading first one thought will be in the money in the bank match at bib with the quality of the promo. You haven’t disappointed as you are excelling. Slowly but surely you are getting there. Like Anthony showing pride for his brand as he prepares for war against the North American champion while Anthony is the television champion. Like the comparison to Alexx to Gab about using their looks to their advantage. I am digging into it. Very nice

Duke Drazin: At last we finally meet. As someone already mentioned there seems to be a thing of respect between Drazin and Stu. Did well of putting Stu over in the beginning as this is the guy who was dangerous and top of his game. Stu’s mind is clouded by what’s going on while Drazin’s mind seems focused on battle. Drazin has been waiting for this war to happen at some point hopefully before 2012 lol. Really like the comparisons between Stu and Drazin you brought up to the surface. It is a very good tossup who will win like Bruins and Lighting.

Dinorah Redgrave: The poster reminds me of a movie poster something on the lines to rising to the top. Can’t remember the film but no matter. Hello cat fight already. I can safely say Dinorah proves the theory all women secretly hate each other. Dinorah made it a bit more out on in the open gloating how Sara should seen her face when she lost the title.

Rebel: I agree with DA on this one. You missed on Princeton big time. Instead shot on how ‘the bookers’ being screwing you over. I can’t see the connection from Princeton and you being screwed over by the bookers. To me at least there has to be some connection connecting the two points trying to get across. This is just my opinion saying you got screwed over by the bookers in real life go huh? What’s a booker? WWE, TNA, ROH, ECW, WCW didn’t have any wrestlers say I got screwed by the bookers. It was either (a) Ric flair in wcw screwed over my career blah, blah. Or WWE promised me the world they gave me a shot at IC title..I didn’t wrestle for it was handed to me. Shawn Michaels didn’t want to wrestle me and then buried me. Picture a live crowd reaction who aren’t smart hearing being screwed over by the booker. If booker was replaced with management for terms. It would make more sense. If this is real crowd they would understand management better than booker as there wouldn’t be scratching their heads trying to figure out what a booker is. If it was management they could pick up on it right away. That’s just my two cents.

Golden/Cross/Carmine: Been a while since I have seen a joint a promo. Thought it was put together well. You covered your point as there was interaction between all three of you which is key. Only complainant I came make is interaction could use more spice if you would. But well done nonetheless

Gabrielle: Jacob is there anything you can’t do to delight my eyes? Great making case about how so many like Stu, Charon, Jack and other how dangerous we are for being killers that nothing is more dangerous than a devoted knight. Like how you took credit into setting Stu up to be embarrassed by love and taking the path the goddesses wanted to him. Who really is the puppet master? Lol. The promo was splendid.

XXX: Liked how you said you started as Young Lion and less than a year became X-Division unlike James. It was written alright not sure on time restraints were kind of hopping for a big hit given a champion vs. Champion match. Regardless still got your points across which is the most important thing to.

Charon: Ah the masked man. Liked the talk of the mask and the meanings along with making it flow with your statements about certain people. I really like the mystery of Charon as the character almost reminds me of Spawn in a way.

PAJ: Welcome back. Liked how he didn’t care about Fight Night or Crossfire as he was the attraction. Nicely done. Mention of you facing off against Anthony for the television title is good to build for the bib VI. Really didn’t like Rondo that much and questioned why is he that amazing.

Ryan Rondo: As soon I read beginning of the promo I swore I was hearing Bob Saget narrate it like an episode of How I Met Your Mother. Can’t explain every time I start reading your promo I think of that show. Being interviewed was good on espn. Can’t go wrong with them as they are not a bunch of morons like fox as they have the three stooges on late night being nitwits and being sound bites. Good interview.

Wolf: Liked the philosophies and metaphors brought up. It really made your promo shine which is good. I think facing Jacob made you step up which is also good. Shows a competiveness and desire to improve. That’s always good to have especially when you’re the top guy. Liked the talk of Goddesses and comparing to Gab. It was great stuff. Well done.

Alexx: Why did I know you would be the one using Oprah in your promo? Lol. As I said earlier to Matt. I think you found Alexx’s niche and are drawing from it. You have been in FWA longer than I and you are still going. You’re evolving as a writer constantly. I think you found your mark and you are just going to keep going up to the top. After all those years your getting to the top of the mountain. Just outstanding my friend.

Zaire Wyoming: Like the tie in to Kennedy’s promo as Sally is wondering when they are going to get picked up from the bar. Good sense of humour to it. For some reason I figured Zaire would be into Nascar opposed to basketball.

Thomas Princeton: I loved that little moment to open the promo where Tabby shows up right on time, really shows that Thomas strives to control everything in his life whether that be through his monetary affluence of simple his in ring prowess. I also enjoy how you've given the Yes Men little side stories, with Tabby and Dimitri getting all dooey eyed while Bryce is left alone. The flashback really showed a cruel side to Tom, his wealth, class and sophistication has him valuing such things as art very highly, as you can probably tell I really enjoyed the character development in this promo but the match focus was equally as good, you really tore into RBA. Great work Matt.

Chris Kennedy: This is one of your best promos so far. I always enjoy these sort of promos where you incorporate other members of the Siege into it, really promotes the team unity and gives you someone else to play of in the promo. The vendetta against the insider edition was a great idea, really portrays Chris's ego and the fact that he feels everyone should always be talking about him. I echo the sentiments of others in saying that it is only a matter of time before Chris has a Championship around his waist especially when you're putting out promos like this...just maybe not the World title

Stu St.Clair: An age old question was answered, can Stu St. Clair enter a church? Yes it seems. Its enjoyable to see this other side of Stu, almost remorse at what he is when it concerns his family particularly Micah. But he's still the twisted monster who should be feared by all, this promo certainly did a match that has been years in waiting justice.

Anthony: I really like how you opened with the brand pride thing but then questioned whether Anthony could even be proud of what he's fighting for with the way it is in his eyes. That really gave the promo a flow, though the dissection of Alexx Anthony was still coming to the eventual conclusion that he's not fighting for Fight Night just for himself, great writing Champ you've done a fantastic job of representing that title thus far.

Duke Drazin: A very...disturbing setting for this promo, but one you used very well, really well in fact. I loved how you used what was happening to the cows as a physical annotation as to the condition of Duke and Stu, what kind of people they were. The comparison of the God and the Snake was unexpected but it makes sense

Dinorah Redgrave: Great work here, the right amounts of sexuality and competitiveness with a dash of Sinful Sensualityness added to the mix. The complete back story you gave to Wolf-Dinorah was a nice touch, from the get go it seems the two were at odds and thus far Di has won out at every turn. The character of Dinorah is done very well, she's confident but not overly cocky, a proud Champion because the fans rallied behind her.

Charon: I'm really enjoying the Charon character and the burgeoning feud with Gabby is just making him better. My favourite line from this promo was definitely “Enjoy your seat in heaven, because I am going to clip your wings, and drag you into Styx myself” hell its probably one of my favourite lines from any promo. Really loved how you addressed the mask and what it does/means to Charon, the question of who is really the monster out of Gabby and Charon raises a very good point...maybe one day we'll have an answer.

Stu: Epic scene, I love how you always use different places for your promos, and you always succeed in making it a great one and picture it in our head. That opening poem was really good, didn't really seem out of place or anything. I really liked how this developed all around, the part of Wolf and Micah really gave me insight into what has been happening over on CF. Then to the part of Drazin, it's been developing for over a year and you used all of that against me, I love Stu's 'I don't care about them until they touch me' attitude, this was a brilliant promo and what I really think a different type of heel should be like... awesome work Stu.

Gabrielle: Now THAT'S what I love from a description. Now ETE, I got to say, you are probably the best man that writes descriptions right now. You are one of the best writers that I've ever seen setting up a scene, I can just imagine everything that you write, because you describe it so well. I love how you used the wolf to compare it to... well Wolf... I just love how calm she is during her whole speech about Wolf, she sends of a vibe of superiority with every word. Then you also went a little after Stu, that in my eyes was a great detail, this wasn't only a good promo, it was an excellent promo.

Zaire: Once again, this promo proves that you know a lot about the FWA Matt. You didn't miss a jab at anyone cause you know them all pretty good. I really like Zaire as a character, but I got to be honest with you I didn't really like the set up of the scene much, I thought it wasn't bad but also wasn't good, kind of in an inbetween. But the speaking part really made it up for, I really liked the way Zaire took jabs at everyone and made them look like nothing. I think this is one of the best Zaire promos that I've ever read.

PAJ: It sucked... *Facepalm* :P Cocky... really cocky. That is what I always imagine PAJ as and that is what he came across in this promo. From the first line to the very last PAJ was shown to be exactly that. I love how you always pick an opponent apart, even if you know very little of him. I liked how you furthered the feud between us, overall great job Tom... looking forward to facing you.

Alexx: lol, I can just picture Alexx doing that scene, it would be so damn funny... Odd, odd scenes... but great at the same time. I really enjoyed the theme you went for. I really liked how you mixed your current feud in with the first two channels, and then wow, you completely ripped the Television Championship apart, you really went after it eh? But that's the only thing that I have to say, that I think you focused too much on the Championship and not the actual wrestler, don't get me wrong it was still a great read but I think that's the only thing that was a bit off for me.

    I'll fill more in later...

Thanks to Cryonix, you will be missed

Wolf: Great work Wolf, this was an amazing promo and one that honestly has me wanting Gabby to actually fight Wolf instead of getting JoJI to do her dirty work, which is a testament to your writing and the emotions it evoked reading it. I loved the almost desperation to Wolf that he would be facing Gabrielle and not JoJI, he wants that challenge that fight against the Goddess instead of her lackey and tearing into Gabby for putting together that scenario in the first place.

Zaire Wyoming: So Sally still doesn't like Gabby...those cowgirls can hold a grudge. The arrogance from Zaire is such a big change from the Lt. He once was and one that make shim so much better. Really just tore into every opponent with that southern drawl that only Nolee could match, it makes for very unique opponent breakdowns, comparing them to cow pies and such.

RIP William Christopher 'Cryonix' Stallings, you'll never be forgotten
