Gorilla Monsoon: “Welcome to The Wrestling Challenge, just days away from Summerslam! Tonight we find out if Eddie Gilbert or Lance Storm will meet Chris Candido in the finals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament!”
Jesse Ventura: “Don’t forget ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas will make his debut tonight!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “The Immortal Hulk Hogan will also be with us Jesse. Enough talk, let’s get the action underway!”

The Fink: “This bout is a tag team contest scheduled for one fall. In the ring at this time Todd Overbow and his partner Kris German”

Hart Dynasty Theme

“Their opponents, lead to the ring by their manager Nattie Neidhart, T.J Wilson and Harry Smith, The Hart Dynasty!”
Ventura: “I’m amazed Nattie Neidhart is coming down to the ring after last week. You assume she would have learned her lesson!”
Monsoon: “No, she is just a tough woman with a heap of courage and loyalty. Something your buddy Slick is missing”

Wilson and German lock up and Wilson executes an arm drag, followed by another but this time Wilson holds on and locks in an arm bar on the mat. German gets to his feet while still in the arm bar and Wilson directs them over to Harry Smith in the corner and tags him in. They whip German to the ropes and hit a double drop kick, sending German tumbling into his corner, where Overbow tags himself in. Overbow and Smith lock up with Smith swiftly getting behind Overbow and flinging him with a German Suplex. Smith tags in Wilson and then goes to set-up Overbow for the Hart Attack finisher. Smith holds Overbow in a bear-hug, and then Wilson bounces off of the ropes with a clothesline to the prone Overbow. Smith hocks the leg and this one is over. 1, 2, 3!

Monsoon: “This is a great, dynamic, athletic tag team combination and they just displayed how good they can be right there”
Ventura: “I agree Gorilla, they have a great future but they are not up to par right now especially compared to a team like Doom”
Monsoon: “I’d love to argue that point but Harry Smith has gotten a microphone from The Fink”

Harry Smith: “Ron Simmsons, Butch Reed, I hope you guys are listening because we have a challenge for you. We want a match at Summerslam, a tag team match featuring Harry Smith, T.J Wilson and…Nattie Neidhart against you two guys and that slimy, manager of yours Slick!”

Monsoon: “I guess we will here from Doom later tonight, but for now we will see you after these messages”

---------------------------COMMERCIAL--------------------------

Okerlund: “Welcome back Wrestling fans. Summerslam is a few days away and is sold-out. The only way to see this great event, you must order via PPV. With me know, the man who will be facing Terry Funk next, Haku and his manager Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan!

Heenan: “In a few days at Summerslam the legendary Terry Funk, has a hardcore triple threat match with Raven and New Jack, but when our plans are through you want make it!”
Haku: “I don’t need trash cans and chairs to beat you up Terry Funk, I just need my hands!”

The Fink: “This bout is scheduled for on fall, introducing first from the Isle of Samoa, accompanied by his manager Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan and his tag team partner, Tama. Weighing 280 pounds, Haku!
Monsoon: “What is this Jesse? What are those two doing out here?”
Ventura: “Well Heenan is the manager and has a license to be down there…”
Monsoon: “Yeah and what about the other guy?”
Ventura: “Well Tama is there for moral support, like any great tag team partner would”
Monsoon: “Ah, give me a break”

The Fink: “And his opponent, from Amarillo, Texas, The legendary, Terry Funk!”

Terry Funk wastes no time and is straight onto the attack, as Haku steps one leg outside of the ring and the referee gets between the two men. We get a clean break and then Funk and Haku lock up and Haku flings Funk across the ring. They go to lock-up, but Funk slips behind Haku and school boys Haku for a near fall. The both pop back up and Haku chops Funk across the chest. Terry Funk is happy to repay the favor, and then Haku attempts a crescent kick but misses as Funk picks Haku up for a body slam. Funk goes for a pinfall but Haku kicks out at one. Haku gets to his feet but Funk snap mares him over and locks in a headlock, as Raven appears at the entrance way with a chair.

Monsoon: “What is this guy doing here now?”
Ventura: “Relax Monsoon, the man has just taken a seat and is obviously scouting for Summerslam”

Haku gets to his feet and uses the ropes to whip Funk across the ring, and is successful. As Funk hits the ropes, Heenan is right there to clip him on the ankle. This distracts Funk for a split second and as he goes back to deal with Haku, is chopped right across the throat and is picked up by Haku who hits a sidewalk slam. He hooks the leg but for a mere 1 count. Haku follows up with a knee to the ribs, and then a knee to the throat, using his knee to choke Funk across the neck until the official breaks it up at the count of 4. Haku continues to get heat on Terry Funk, utilizing his varied attack, slams and strikes.
Haku goes to hit a pile driver, but Funk sends him over the back with a back body drop. Haku gets up immediately, and stumbles into a jab from Funk, follow by another stiff jab. Funk whips Haku into the ropes and hits a hip toss and follows up by elbow dropping the left knee of Haku 3 times. Funk then goes for a spinning toe hold on the prone Haku. Funk goes around for another spinning toe hold, then again but this time finishes by locking in the figure four leg lock.

Heenan distracts the ref as Tama pulls Haku by the hands to the ropes. Haku grabs the ropes as the referee is conveniently allowed to get back to the action. Terry Funk releases the hold and reaches over the top rope to try and grab Tama, but Tama hooks Funk by the head and hangs Funk’s throat over the top rope. The official calls for the bell and Tama proceeds to enter the ring as Haku limps to his feet. The Islanders are then start to beat down on Funk as Raven just watches from the entrance way.

Monsoon: “What is going on here? Funk is getting beaten down after a match and Raven just stands there watching”
Ventura: “What do you expect? They are opponents for Summerslam”

New Jack's Music

Monsoon: “Here he comes, it is New Jack. He is an opponent for Terry Funk at Summerslam as well, but he actually has respect for the Hardcore Legend”
Ventura: “Respect gets you know where in this business. It is all about the money”

New Jack shoves Raven and takes his chair, running down to the ring to aid Terry Funk. New Jack enters the ring swinging as The Islanders waste no time evacuating the ring and a beating with that chair.

Monsoon: “New Jack has cleaned the ring of the Islanders, no thanks to Raven. These three men will fight each other, hardcore rules at Summerslam.”
Ventura: “No doubt, no doubt. Remember this is 3 way dance rules. Where the first fall will be elimination and the match will continue until one man is left standing”
Monsoon: “After this break, Mene Gene will be in the ring with ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan!”

-------------------------------COMMERCIAL-------------------------

Okerlund: “In a few days, the vacant WWF Championship will be up for grabs between ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan and The Great Muta. With that in mind welcome my guest at this time ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan!”

Real American Plays

Okerlund: “The first question the world wants to know the answer too is describe the feeling of that mist, The Great Muta spat in your eyes 2 weeks ago?”

Hulk Hogan: “You know something Mene Gene, there is no sugar coating the feeling of that Mist burning your face, burning your eyes every time you open them to try and see the end of your nose. I’ve been hit with chairs, squashed by Giants and nothing was as painful as that Mist”

Okerlund: “How much of a problem will Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan be during this match and are you prepared?”

Hulk Hogan: “Bobby Heenan is always a thorn in the side of anyone facing a member of his family, but he has never quite had the brains to topple Hulkamania”

Okerlund: “How is your health going to be a factor when you get inside the ring with Muta for the WWF Championship at Summerslam?”

Hulk Hogan: “Well brother, all my Hulkamaniacs can rest assure that the Hulkster will be 100% at Summerslam, with 20/20 vision and I have one goal in mind, to prove that Hulkamania is the strongest force in the Universe and become the WWF Championship. So what you gunna do when Hulk Hogan, with 20/20 vision runs wild on you!?”

Real American plays.

---------------------COMMERCIAL--------------------

The Fink: “In the ring at this time The Conquistadors! And their opponents lead to their ring by the manager, ‘The Dr. Of Style’ Slick! The team of Butch Reed and Ron Simmons, Doom!”

Jive Soul Bro Plays

Monsoon: “Do you think Jesse that we will get an answer regarding the challenge presented by Hart Dynasty earlier in the night?”
Ventura: “Of course we will get an answer Monsoon! Look at the big smirk on Slick’s face, he couldn’t be happier.”
Monsoon: “Trust me Jesse, that man right there is scared for his life”
Ventura: “What does he have to be scared of? That little girl, Neidhart? Please…”

Doom waste no time as Simmons lays in three big right hands, followed by a power slam on Conquistador #1. Simmons then drags him by the leg towards his team’s corner and tags in Butch Reed. Reed then hits a vicious back breaker. Reed picks up his opponent and hits his patent under-hook suplex sending Conquistadors #1 into his corner where Conquistador #2 tags himself in. Simmons is tagged in my Reed and ducks a clothesline, bounces off of the ropes and hits a football tackle to the knees of his opponent. Simmons wastes no time, picks Conquistador #2 and press slams him to the mat.
Simmons signals the end of the match as he tags in Butch Reed, who ascends to the top rope. Simmons proceeds to slingshot Conquistador #2 toward Reed who hits a shoulder tackle from the top rope. Butch Reed follows up with a nonchalant cover for the victory.

As Jive Soul Bro begins to play Slick enters the ring with a microphone, presumably to address the night’s earlier challenge.

Slick: “Cut our music! Hart Dynasty, just chill out while the Slickster breaks it down to yaa. You want the three of us, to fight the three of you? Well usually Slick is a lover not a fighter, but in this instance I think the three of you need to be reminded that women should not be near a wrestling ring. Now hit our music!”

Jive Soul Bro plays again

Monsoon: “Can you believe the nerve? There is know where to hide at Summerslam”
Ventura: “He can hide behind Reed and Simmons, that’s for sure”
Monsoon: “Let’s send it to Mene Gene!”

Okerlund: “Thanks Gorilla. With me right now, with his beautiful manager Sunny, welcome Chris Candido”

Sunny: “Thanks Gene. We are just here tonight to get a close up view of opponent for Summerslam”

Okerlund: “Well Chris, do you have a preference for who you want to face at Summerslam for the Vacant Intercontinental Championship?”

Candido: “Without sounded too arrogant, it doesn’t bother me either way if it is Lance Storm or Eddie Gilbert. I have all the assets to keep up with Lance Storm and a different type of asset to handle Missy Hyatt while I beat up Eddie Gilbert.”

Okerlund: “Strong words by the man who could potentially be the intercontinental Champion when Summerslam is over! Back to you guys at ringside”

Ventura: “Before we send it to Howard Finkel in the ring, I have some good news and some bad news that concerns everyone. The bad news is Wrestling Challenge will only be an hour long after Summerslam, but the good news is a second one hour show will debut, Superstars of Wrestling”
Monsoon: “Wow, after 4 shows you finally had something to say that didn’t make all WWF fans puke. Take it away Fink!”

The Fink: “Currently in the ring from Memphis, Tennessee, Jeff Jarrett and his opponent from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, ‘The Franchise’ Shane Douglas!”

Shane Douglas' Music Plays

Monsoon: “For all this man’s qualities as a wrestler, he matches with arrogance.”
Ventura: “Arrogance? I call it an adequate amount of confidence, equal to that of his wrestling ability”

Douglas and Jarrett start off with a collar and elbow tie up in the middle of the ring. Shane Douglas follows up with the go behind, into a school boy for a one count. JJ gets up to his feet, but is met with a side-head lock and Douglas then uses the hold to take JJ over to the mat. Jarrett uses his legs to reverse the hold and now has Shane Douglas on his back in a head scissors, which Douglas nips out of immediately. As JJ gets to his feet, Douglas knees him in the mid-section then hits a neck breaker. JJ starts to use the ropes to get to his feet, but Douglas hooks a waist lock and takes JJ over with a belly-to-belly suplex. Shane Douglas sets up and hits his finishing move, The Pittsburgh Plunge. The Franchise goes for the pin attempt and this match is done!

Monsoon: “Very impressive victory by Shane Douglas here on Wrestling Challenge”
Ventura: “Look for The Franchise to quickly rise the top of the WWF ladder.”
Monsoon: “After this break we will be back with the Steiner Brothers and The Freebirds as they go face-to-face and then our Main Event”

-----------------------COMMERCIAL----------------------

Monsoon: “Welcome back fans as we send it to the debuting Sean Mooney at the Event Centre!”

Mooney: “Thanks Gorilla, it is great to be here for this new WWF. Summerslam is this weekend, where the vacant WWF Championship will be on the line between ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan and Bobby Heenan’s new family member, The Great Muta! Also on that card the Tag Team Championships will be on the line. We have those two teams with us on Face to Face. Let me first bring in the challengers for the WWF Tag Team Championships at Summerslam, Michael P.S. Hayes, Terry ‘Bam Bam’ Gordy and Buddy Roberts!”

Hayes: “We will be the new Tag Champs, you can count on that!”

Mooney: “Also with us, there opponents, the WWF Tag Team Champions, Rick and Scott the Steiner Brothers”

Scott: “It is our pleasure to be here Sean”

Mooney: “First I want to talk to the Freebirds. Tremendous opportunity for you three at Summerslam this weekend, but only two of you will be able to compete in this bout for the Championships”

Hayes: “It doesn’t matter which, two of us fight at Summerslam, because every possible combination is better than the Steiner Mutts!”
Gordy: “The Steiner’s better be ready to get down and dirty because this won’t be a wrestling match, it will be a badstreet fight!”
Roberts: “STEINERS! Those big shiny belts you have belong to us and at Summerslam we are going to take them”

Mooney: “Rick and Scott, what do you guys have to say about those comments?”

Rick: “Well Sean, at the end of the day they are nothing but words. We have the gold and we are the best until The Freebirds or any other tag team takes these belts from us”
Scott: “At Summerslam boys, you get a chance to back up the verbal diarrhea you just spit up on the floor!”

Sean: “If you fans want to see these two teams go at it, make that all important telephone call and order Summerslam! Now let’s go back to Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura, with our main event!”

Monsoon: “It is time to find out who will compete against Chris Candido at Summerslam for the Intercontinental Championship”
Ventura: “We have two great athletes in Lance Storm and Eddie Gilbert and an opportunity like this does not come around every day, so a lot of pressure”

The Fink: “This bout is for a spot in the finals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament and is scheduled for one fall, introducing first…from Calgary, Alberta, Canada Lance Storm!”

Storm's music plays

Ventura: “Lance will be hoping to get past Eddie Gilbert and avenge his lost against Chris Candido to become Intercontinental Champion!”
Monsoon: “That is true but I am sure Ricky Steamboat is keeping a close eye on this one. Speaking to him earlier, he wants nothing more than to get his hands on Lance Storm”

The Fink: “His opponent…lead to the ring by his manager Missy Hyatt, from Lexington, Tennessee ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert!”

Gilberts music plays

Ventura: “Hot Stuff looks ready Monsoon and Missy Hyatt looks as ravishing as ever”
Monsoon: “I have to agree with you on that point Jesse! What a great match we are about to see.”

Gilbert and Storm get in each other’s face and start talking trash. Storm pushes Gilbert hard in the chest, and Gilbert retaliates. Then they lock-up violently, pushing and pulling all over the ring battling for an advantage. Storm is the first to get an advantage, getting behind Gilbert with a strong hammerlock. Gilbert is trying to find a way out of this hold, even reaching for some hair. Eventually Eddie gets his feet into a position where he escapes via drop down toe hold, and with Storm now on his stomach, Gilbert grabs a side headlock on the mat. Gilbert really works the side headlock as Storm reaches for hair and reaches for the ropes as short cut to escape. Storm then grabs a hold of Gilbert’s waists and rolls Gilbert onto his back. The official goes to count, but Gilbert kicks out at 1 releasing the hold in the process.

Both men get to their feet and Storm goes for a crescent kick, which Gilbert ducks and then grabs a waist lock. Gilbert pushes towards the ropes attempting to use them to get a roll-up, but Storm holds on to the ropes which, sends Gilbert flying to the mat. Gilbert gets to his feet, but Storm is there and hits a drop kick. Gilbert gets back up but his hit with another drop kick, then again, a third drop kick. After three drop kicks, Eddie Gilbert rolls to the outside and is comforted by Missy Hyatt.

Lance Storm, not wanting to lose any momentum goes to the outside giving chase to Eddie Gilbert. Storm clobbers Gilbert across the back with forearm shots then grabs Gilbert and throws him back into the ring. Storm climbs the apron but Missy Hyatt grabs a hold of his leg. Lance quickly is able to free his leg and attempt his patent Springboard Missile Drop Kick but Eddie Gilbert is able to move out of the way and Storm hits the mat with a sickening thud. Gilbert wastes no time and goes for the win and gets a near fall. Gilbert motions at the official to speed up his count and goes for another pin fall attempt, and Storm kicks out again!

Monsoon: “Eddie Gilbert is first to start using dirty tactics in this one”
Ventura: “Yeah and that is why Gilbert will win this match…wait a second…is that?”
Monsoon: “It is Ricky Steamboat appearing on the stage. It seems like he has an invested interest in this match Jesse”
Ventura: “He has no business being out here Gorilla. He is not in this tournament anymore so should not be down there”
Monsoon: “Hold up, what about guys like Slick and Heenan? Don’t forget Missy Hyatt at ringside right now. You have no problem with them at ringside!”
Ventura: “They are licensed manager Monsoon! Ricky Steamboat, last time I checked is not!”
Monsoon: “Well those three would have to cheat just to get a valid driver’s license”

In the meantime, Eddie Gilbert has applied a figure four leg lock in the middle of the ring. He has it applied for a good 2-3 minutes, before Storm is able to rally a comeback, still selling the missed Springboard Drop Kick earlier. Storm is trying to reverse the hold and nearly gets it but Gilbert is able to fight it off. Storm then decides to use a thumb to the eyes!

Monsoon: “Just when I thought Storm had a bit of integrity”
Ventura: “There is no room for integrity with money and gold on the line Monsoon!”

Storm gets to his feet and arm drags a still temporarily blinded Eddie Gilbert, then drop kicks him to the outside. Storm then notices Ricky Steamboat on the stage and ignores his opponent and starts pointing at Steamboat, and yelling at him.

Ventura: “Can you heat that Monsoon? Lance Storm is telling The Dragon to get his washed up behind out of here. Ha-ha!”
Monsoon: “He better pay attention to Eddie Gilbert”

Missy Hyatt is already over with her man and helps him regain his composure. Storm is still mouthing off at Steamboat as Gilberts gets into the ring. He turns Storm around, kicks him in the mid-section and hits a Pile Driver! He covers Lance Storm for the 1, 2 and 3.

The Fink: “The winner of this match, advancing to the Finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament at Summerslam, ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert”

Eddie Gilbert and Missy Hyatt celebrate in the ring…

Monsoon: “What is that? It can’t be…the Macho Man is here?”

Gilbert and Hyatt are stunned as are the fans, but the duo don’t hang around for long as the sprint out of the arena. As this is happening, Ricky Steamboat has got a microphone and has entered the ring. As Lance Storm starts to recover, Steamboat begins to address Storm.

Steamboat: “Wake up! It looks like you and I share something in common. We are both no longer in the Intercontinental Championship tournament, which means we both have no opponents for Summerslam. So naturally I ask if you want to prove how washed up I truly am and face off at Summerslam?”

The Dragon hands Storm the microphone…

Storm: “After beating you once, getting screwed by Chris Candido and now after you cost me this match, you want to get in this ring with me again!? When I am done you won’t be washed up, you will be retired! It is on!”

Ventura: “Not only will we see a new WWF Champion and Intercontinental Champion, but we get to see Lance Storm retire Ricky Steamboat, all at Summerslam”
Monsoon: “I doubt that Jesse, but there is only one way to see what happens and that is to order Summerslam!”

If anyone feels interested in writing a preview with their own predictions for the Summerslam PPV I will be writing feel free to post something in here rather than just review this last Wrestling Challenge.

As I had Jesse Ventura announce on the last show, I will be doing two 1 hour shows, Superstars of Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge, rather than the one, 2 hour show. I feel it will be easier for me and everyone else. I might also do some Saturday Night Main Event shows, here and there.

Greetings peoples, it is I John Henry Eden.

Now many of you probably wont know me I'm a somewhat decent friend of RasslinFanatics.

Im here to give some predictions/hype his SummerSlam card.

WWF Championship
Hulk Hogan vs. The Great Muta w/ Bobby Heenan

The big main event, 2 legends of wrestling squaring off in what should be a pretty even match. Although with Bobby Heenan in the corner of Muta I can't see Hulkamania running wild tonight as Heenan always has a plan.

Muta has taken down Hogan before with the help of Heenan and this will be no different.

Muta is going to destroy Hulkamania at Summerslam.

I.C Championship Tournament Finals
Eddie Gilbert w/ Missy Hyatt vs. Chris Candido w/ Sunny
Gilbert and Candido should be a good match, Gilbert earned his way by taking out Randy Savage then defeating Steamboat and Storm to advance to the finals. Candido has been given Savages spot and defeated Storm to get into the finals. Seeing as how Candido had the easy way in after only 1 match it seems he will have the advantage of being the fresher of the 2. Although I wouldn’t count out Gilbert and his momentum going into this match and that is what will get Gilbert the win.

Tag Team Championships
Steiner Brothers (c) vs. The Fabulous Freebirds

Interesting match seeing as how the Steiners do not know who they will really be defending the tag titles against, as the Freebirds have yet to decide which 2 of them will be in the match.
I’m going with the Steiners to retain, never count out the champions even when they do not know for sure whom they will be facing.

Ricky Steamboat vs. Lance Storm
Does anyone really think Storm is gonna win this, the guy has been on a skid and even though he had defeated Steamboat once before I’d put my own money down on Steamboat coming out the victor here. Steams is the kind of guy who learns from his mistakes and well Storm is Canadian, pretty easy prediction here. Steamboater is gonna shut Storms trap.

Hart Dynasty and Nattie Neidhart vs. Doom and Slick
I really want to see Nattie lock the sharpshooter on Slick, but The Doctor of Style is no stranger to having women coming after him and will be readying that pimp slap. As for the other guys in this match I do believe that Doom’s strength will overpower the Hart Dynasty and lead them forward to a shot at the tag titles.

One Man Gang debuts against Koko B. Ware
All I can say here is a Hall of Famer is gonna be crushed.

New Jack vs Funk vs Raven
Three of the most crazy sons of bitches in a triple threat hardcore match, good god damn its gonna be brutal and bloody. Funk and Jack are in this out of respect while Raven is looking to inflate his ego even more. I see this match getting crazy real quick, and it should be fun to see. Im going with Raven here, a man needs to look out for himself and Funk/Jack have too much respect for each other to really lay it out on the line against each other.

Rock N' Roll Express vs. The Brain Busters
2 epic tag teams going at it, well hot damn this is a good way to start the night. I’m going with the Brain Busters all the way simply for the fact that Arn Anderson is in it and that man is gonna kick some ass, some rock n’ roll ass

And thats that. Be sure to read his stuff and grow his ego.

Yours

JHE

Wow what a show! And that Summerslam card is sexy. The build for Hogan and Muta has been well done, should pay off here.

For graphics, the best bet is to put in a request over in the Graphics section. We have a lot of good photoshoppers on here that will happily fulfill any request you may have.

Hey guys, I know it has been a while but I have to pay the bills lol. Anyway, I've decided to post Summerslam in two parts. So here is part 1, with part 2 to come shortly.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gorilla Monsoon: “Welcome to the New York City and welcome to Madison Square Garden, the site of wrestling’s biggest summer event and here we are at the site of the World Wrestling Federation’s Summerslam: Muta vs. Hogan!"

Gorilla Monsoon: “Take a look at this jam packed arena, you can feel the tension and the excitement. It’s a happening here, it’s Summerslam: Muta vs. Hogan here in the mecca of sports and entertainment, Madison Square Garden. Hello every one, I am Gorilla Monsoon and this is my broadcast colleague, Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura and Jesse the electricity in this building is amazing.”
Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura: “I totally agree Monsoon. You can feel the tension in the crowd Gorilla, because deep down everyone knows The Great Muta will be crowd the new WWF Heavyweight Champion!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “That remains to be seen Jesse, but the big one we are all waiting for is Hulk Hogan taking on The Great Muta, with Bobby Heenan in his corner.”
Jesse Ventura: “We will have our first WWF Heavyweight Champion and it will be The Great Muta, Bobby Heenan will make sure of it!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Either way this is a huge main event, a historic match in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. Now let’s go down to our ring announcer, Howard Finkel.”

Howard Finkel:
“This opening contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall. Currently in the ring to my right with their manager Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, at a combined weight of 447 lbs, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, The Brain Busters!”

Jesse Ventura: “This is probably the most fluent tag team in the World Wrestling Federation today.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “They are a very good tag team and with The Weasel in their corner, they are a dangerous tag team.”

Howard Finkel: “Their opponents at a combined weight of 420 pounds, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, The Rock N’ roll express!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Speaking of fluent tag teams, Gibson and Morton has great chemistry and know each other inside and out”
Jesse Ventura: “We can agree that we have two great tag teams in this match, but only one has The Brain on the outside”

Robert Gibson and Tully Blanchard start things off with a collar and elbow tie up, but it is Tully with a swift knee to the midsection follow by a forearm to the back, sending Gibson down to one knee. Tully follows up with a stiff right hand, send Gibson to the mat. Gibson makes his way to his feet, and Tolly helps him up and whips Gibson into the ropes. Gibson bounces off and baseball slides between Blanchard’s legs. Tully turns around right into a drop kick. Blanchard gets back up to his feet and is sent back down to the mat with another drop kick. Then a third drop kick sends Blanchard to the outside.

Gorilla Monsoon: “The crowd is clearly behind the Rock N’ Roll Express during the early stages to this match”
Jesse Ventura: “Gibson got the best of Blanchard right there, but the Brain is right there to help the Brain Busters regroup”

Blanchard gets back into the ring but tags in Arn Anderson immediately. Anderson locks up with Gibson and is quick to get a tight side headlock. Anderson is squeezing nice and tight as Gibson uses the ropes to launch Anderson across the ring, forcing him to release the side headlock. Anderson makes his way back towards Gibson and Gibson drops down, and Anderson continues stepping over Gibson. Gibson gets up, and sets up to hit a back body drop, but Anderson leaps over the top and tags Tully Blanchard. Gibson hits a arm drag, as Blanchard quickly gets into the ring but Ricky Morton cuts him off with a drop kick of his own. Morton and Gibson double clothesline Blanchard over the top rope to the outside then delivery a double drop kick to Arn Anderson, sending him back to the outside.

Gorilla Monsoon: “The Rock N’ Roll Express are a step ahead of the Brain Busters right now. It doesn’t look like it will be the easiest night for Bobby Heenan”
Jesse Ventura: “Don’t doubt the Brain, Gorilla! He has a great mind for what goes on inside the ring. He will find a way to get the job done for his team”

The crown is going nuts as the Brain Busters and Heenan continue to come up with a new gameplan, but the Express have had enough of waiting and Gibson sits on the middle rope, as Morton uses the ropes to get momentum and leaps through the ropes and splashes into the Brain Busters! As the Busters get back to their feet Gibson has climbed to the top turnbuckle and he splashes the Busters! The crowd is loving it as the Rock N’ Roll Express celebrate inside the ring.

Jesse Ventura: “Look at the arrogance of the Rock N’ Roll Express celebrating as if this match is over. Underestimating the Busters will be a big mistake”
Gorilla Monsoon: “You could be right Jesse, but right now the Rock N’ Roll is in complete control”

Both teams are in the ring, and the official has directed all four wrestlers to their neutral corners. Ricky Morton and Tully Blanchard will be the two men who resume the action. They begin with a collar and elbow tight up and Blanchard is able to get behind Ricky Morton and takes advantage by grabbing a side headlock and Morton immediately launches Blanchard off of the ropes and catches Morton with an arm drag, then a second arm drag and then a third but Morton holds on with a standing arm bar. Morton regains his composure and gets to his feet while in the arm bar. Morton is able to bend his arm and gets close enough to grab Morton by the air and uses it to launch Morton into the ropes as Anderson tags himself in. Morton returns in runs into a thunderous Double A. Spinebuster!

Anderson immediately starts driving knees into the throat of Ricky Morton, and then starts to stomp on the chest of Morton. Arn Anderson then starts to taunt Robert Gibson in the corner and goes back over to Morton who is trying to get to his feet. Anderson helps Morton up by the hair and takes him over to Tully Blanchard in the corner, who has his knee up as a target in the corner. Anderson smashes Morton’s head into Blanchards knee and Anderson makes the tag. Anderson holds Morton in a front face lock as Blanchard climbs the ropes and comes down with an axe handle strike to the back of Morton. Tully grabs a cross face submission hold on Ricky Morton in the corner of the Brainbusters.

Gorilla Monsoon: “The tide has turned here as the Brainbusters have complete control of this contest. It is quite remarkable.”
Jesse Ventura: “The Brainbusters are showing they are contenders right now. Tully is going to grind at this cross face until Morton has no choice but to submit. I’m not just ‘The Body’ I am the mind too.”

After a few minutes of Tully Blanchard working the cross face submission, Morton begins to get to his knees as the crowd gets behind him. He is up to one knee, and Tully reaches back to tag in Anderson who rushes Morton with a forearm to the back of the head of Ricky Morton. Anderson grabs Morton by the leg and pulls him back into the Brainbusters corner stopping any chance of a tag.

Jesse Ventura: “Smart tag team wrestling on display there Gorilla. Quick tags, sneaky as well while cutting the ring in half and punishing Ricky Morton. It is only a matter of time now.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “What was the stuff about not celebrating before you have won, earlier?”
Jesse Ventura: “This is a completely different situation. The Busters have their man beaten down and kept him in their part of the ring so he cannot tag out. This one is over”

Morton tries to get to his feet using the turnbuckle pads and is meet with some vicious strikes to the midsection. Anderson tags in Tully Blanchard and they both grab an arm of Morton. They swing him away from the corner, but viciously whip Morton backwards into the corner and Morton falls straight the mat and begins to try and crawl towards Robert Gibson who has the crowd cheering Morton on. Blanchard stomps on the back of Morton a few times, but he keeps crawling, slowly towards his corner. Blanchard grabs a leg, about to pull Morton back into his corner; Morton turns over, pulls Blanchard in and kicks him into the corner knocking Arn Anderson to the floor on the outside. Blanchard goes after Morton, who leaps and tags Robert Gibson.

Gorilla Monsoon: “What a turn of events here Jesse. Morton with the tag to the fresh Robert Gibson and Bobby Heenan is trying to help Anderson recover from hitting the floor.”
Jesse Ventura: “This is not right Gorilla. This can’t be happening right now, it is meant to be Bobby Heenan’s night!”

Gibson wastes no time and executes an arm drag on the incoming Tully Blanchard. Gibson followed by a drop kick. Gibson then leaps up for a flying scissors take down on Blanchard. Blanchard slides out of the ring, as Anderson re-enters from the other side. Anderson then charges at Gibson, but Morton is there and catches Anderson with drop toe hold sending Anderson face first into the mat. Gibson then bounces off of the ropes and hits an elbow drop on the back of Anderson. Tully Blanchard gets back in the ring but is hit with the signature move of the Rock N’ Roll express, the double drop kick. Robert Gibson goes over to make the cover and the official counts the three.

Gorilla Monsoon: “That is it! This is one is over Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “I can’t believe it, what a big upset by the Rock N’ Roll Express”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Let’s get the official word”

Howard Finkel: “The winners of the bout, by pinfall. Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, the Rock N’ Roll Express!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “So there we have it, The Rock N’ Roll Express has been victorious, but right now standing by, Sean Mooney who will be talking with Slick and his tag tea, Doom. Take it away Sean”

Sean Mooney: “Slick, you will be competing alongside your tag team of Ron Simmons and Butch Reed against the Hart Dynasty and Nattie Neidhart. What are your thoughts?”

Slick: “I am a lover, not a fighter but when a women needs to be put in her place I am the man to do it”
Ron Simmons: “I thought T.J Wilson and Harry Smith would have learned their lesson. When you bring a woman into a man’s world, we will treat her like a man. My man Slick will have no trouble with Nattie Neidhart, Butch and I will have some fun with Hart Dynasty.’

Sean Mooney: “Any comments from you Butch Reed?”
Butch Reed: “Between me and this man we will beat up lightning, and put thunder in jail. We are going to raise some hell tonight!”
Slick: “It is simple mathematics Hart Dynasty. 3 men are better than 2 boys and one woman!”

Howard Finkel: “This next bout is a 6 person, inter-gender tag team match scheduled for one fall. On their way to the ring, the team of Ron Simmons and Butch Reed, Doom! And their tag team partner, ‘The Doctor of Style’ Slick!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see Nattie Neidhart get her hands on The Slickster and teach him a lesson in respect’
Jesse Ventura: ‘I am actually a little bit worried, Gorilla. I’m worried about what Slick is going to do to her in this match.’

Howard Finkel: “Their opponents, the team of T.J Wilson, Harry Smith and Nattie Niedhart, the Hart Dynasty!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Hart Dynasty is wasting no time getting to the ring, and Nattie Niedhart is leading the way”

As Hart Dynasty hit the ring, Slick bails immediately, and Nattie slides outside chasing Slick around the ring! Harry Smith and Ron Simmons start exchanging blows, as Wilson baseball slides through the legs of Reed and elevates for a drop kick. T.J Wilson follows up with another drop kick, and then hits the ropes and delivers a spinning heel kick to the face of Reed. This occurs as Harry Smith ducks under a clothesline, then grabs Simmons in a waist lock and hits a German Suplex!
Nattie Neidhart has chased Slick back into the ring and Slick is obvliouse to the fact Harry Smith and W.J Wilson are behind him.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Slick thinks he is safe Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “Yes, he doesn’t realise Smith and Wilson are about to assault him”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Whoa, he just realised Jesse. He doesn’t know what to do.

Nattie slides back into the ring, and Slick turns back around and is taken down with a double leg. Nattie is throwing some huge right hands to Slick as Wilson and Smith keep watch. Simmons and Reed are now up and grab their opponents by the legs and drag them to the outside. Smith and Simmons exchange punches as Reed picks Wilson up over his should and catapults him face first into the ring post. Reed then sees Neidhart attacking Slick, he slides back into the ring and grabs her by the hair and pulls her off of Slick. Slick gets to his feet as Simmons and Smith continue to brawl outside the ring.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Who does Butch Reed think he is, putting his hands on a woman like that?”
Jesse Ventura: “Hey! Don’t be mad at Butch Reed. They did not force Nattie Neidhart to sign up for this match and he is not breaking the rules. Besides it looks like Slick has something even better planned”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Oh no, it looks like Slick is ready to take a shot”

Slick winds back to swing at Neidhart and slaps her across the face

Gorilla Monsoon: “Oh no, I can’t believe he actually did that.

Nattie Neidhart goes to a knee and is holding her face. All of a sudden she charges at Slick again and takes him down. On the outside Harry Smith has gotten the better of the exchange with Ron Simmons. Simmons decides to charge Smith in desperation but Smith ducks and back body drops Simmons to the floor. He sees what is going on in the ring and re-enters and drop kicks Reed to the outside. The official has separated Neidhart from Slick and got them in neutral corners. Simmons goes to his corner as Wilson is still out cold on the outside and Nattie Neidhart attends to her fallen tag team partner..

Gorilla Monsoon:
“Finally the official has restored some order in this one, but T.J Wilson is still out cold outside the ring”
Jesse Ventura: “With Hart Dynasty being a man down, the advantage is clearly in favour of Doom right now.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Well Smith is still on control of Butch Reed at the moment”

Smith meets Reed near the far ropes as he gets to his feet and it is Smith with an Irish Whip across the ring and a blind tag is made by Doom, but Smith picks up Reed for a body slam. Reed hits the mat hard. Smith starts to stalk Reed, but Simmons has entered the ring and delivers a thunderous forearm shot to the back of Smith. Simmons then grabs a waist lock and executes a back suplex. Simmmons lays the boots to Smith as Reed recovers in their corner. T.J Wilson has started to regain consciousness and Nattie Neidhart assists in getting him to their corner.

Gorilla Monsoon: “It’s good to see T.J Wilson is showing some signs of life after being launched head first into the steel post.”
Jesse Ventura: “This isn’t ballet Monsoon, this is a man’s sport and Doom is proving that point right now”

Simmons delivers an elbow to the back to Smith as he tried to get to his feet. Slick is in the corner reaching for the tag and Simmons obliges. Simmons holds Smith by the arms and Slick hits Smith with a right hand. Simmons let’s go and Smith falls to the mat and Slick starts to kick Smith while he is down and has had enough as he tags Butch Reed. Reed enters the ring, but hops up on to the second turnbuckle and waist for Smith to get to his feet. Once Smith gets up, Reed hits a flying lariat. Reed puts one foot on the chest of Smith and as the official counts the pinfall attempt, Reed poses for the crowd. The fans boo and Smith gets his shoulders off of the mat after a count of two. Reed then delivers an elbow drop to the throat/chest area of Harry Smith.

Reed drags Smith into the corner, and Reed kicks at his prone body. He then tags in Ron Simmons, who helps Smith to his feet then delivers a knee to the midsection. Simmons then sets up Smith for a powerbomb. Simmons can’t get Smith up; Smith is trying to fight back. Simmons tries again but still cannot get Harry Smith up off of his feet. Then decides to hit Smith three times across the back with forearm shots and then has no more trouble getting Smith up for the powerbomb. Instead of slamming Smith to the mat, Simmons throws him back first, into the turnbuckles. Simmons then tags in Slick again and as he enters the ring, Reed uses the tag rope to strangle Smith, as Slick lays in some boots to the midsection. As Reed let’s go of the tag rope, Smith collapses to the mat and rolls towards the middle of the ring.

T.J Wilson is not recovered and is now actually urging Smith to try and drag his body over to the corner for the tag, but Smith is not responding to well. Slick then goes and taunts Nattie Neidhart causing the official to go over and stop Wilson and Neidhart from entering the ring. Simmons and Reed enter the ring while the official is distracted and start to lay in some stiff boots to Smith. They quickly leave the ring before the official turns back around. Slick start to dance in celebration and then asks Doom if he should go to the top rope and splash Smith. Reed is all for it, but Simmons doesn’t think it is a good idea. Reed assures Simmons it will be fine and tells Slick to climb the turnbuckles. Slick climbs up and nearly losses his balance.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Look at this guy, he won’t even make it to the top rope”
Jesse Ventura: “I think it is courageous of Slick to go for a high risk move like this”

Slick leaps off of the top turnbuckles, but Harry Smith rolls out of the way and Slick goes head first into the mat.

Gorilla Monsoon: “I think Slick knocked himself out cold!”

Smith dives for the tag as Simmons and Reed rush the ring. Wilson leaps to the top rope and launches himself into a drop kick sending Butch Reed flying. Wilson ducks under a Simmons clothesline and hits an Enziguri as Simmons turns around. Reed is back up and attacks Wilson, but Wilson brings Reed to the mat, face first after a drop toe hold. Harry Smith is up and hits a leg drop to the back of Reed’s neck. Smith and Wilson double drop kick Ron Simmons and now both members of Doom are outside the ring.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Look! Slick has just regained consciousness and is in the ring alone with the Hart Dynasty”
Jesse Ventura: “This is a total miscarriage of justice. Where is the mandatory 5 count?”
Gorilla Monsoon: “That goes both ways Jesse, remember Slick is the legal man, not Ron Simmons and Butch Reed!”

T.J Wilson tags in Nattie Neidhart and Wilson along with Smith keep Simmons and Reed at bay. Nattie brings Slick down to the mat with a double leg and steps over for the Sharpshooter! Nattie crosses the leg’s and turns Slick over and the Sharpshooter is applied. Slick is screaming in pain and is screeching in pain that he quits!

Gorilla Monsoon: “That is it, this one is over. Nattie Neidhart has made Slick, quit to the sharpshooter”
Jesse Ventura: “This is unacceptable Monsoon, the official should have disqualified Hart Dynasty for breaking the mandatory 5 count.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “That is not how it will go down in the record books, let’s get the official word.”

Howard Finkel: “The winners of this bout, by Submission. T.J Wilson, Harry Smith and Nattie Neidhart, the Hart Dynasty!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “This one is over as Hart Dynasty gets some revenge on Doom and Slick, but right now we have ‘Mene’ Gene Okerlund with a man who wants to be crowd Intercontinental Champion!”

Gene Okerlund: “Thanks Gorilla and Jesse! I hope everyone is enjoying WWF action, but with me right now with his beautiful manager, Sunny welcome Chris Candido”

Sunny: “Well thanks Mene Gene, we are glad to get some air time before we take the Intercontinental Championship”

Gene Okerlund: “How does it feel to be in this position right now after getting your spot in this tournament thanks to your opponent tonight, Eddie Gilbert injuring Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage?”

Chris Candido: “It is a little bit bitter sweet Mene Gene. It doesn’t feel good to be advantaged by the misfortunes of a man like Randy Savage. That was then and this is now, there is nothing I can do about that. All I can do is be the best I can be and control my destiny by becoming the first WWF Intercontinental Champion. This new WWF is a fresh start for me; finally an even playing field and I will take advantage of it, my style, No Gimmicks Needed"
Sunny: “New Intercontinental Champion right here”

Mene Gene: “That is enough from us, now here is Sean Mooney.”

Sean Mooney: “Thanks Gene, with me at this time, Missy…”

Missy Hyatt: “Give me that damn microphone! Did you see the look on that bimbo’s face? The arrogant smile, well I’ll slap it off if she gets her oversized nose in my business tonight, just like I did to that scrawny Miss Elizabeth”

Eddie Gilbert: “Hey, let’s calm down in here. Hello Mr Mooney, I am ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert and back in Memphis they call me the King, but you can call me Mr. Gilbert. I went through every wrestler down in Memphis and finally I am on the big stage ready to take the WWF Intercontinental Championship home. Chris Candido, in case you haven’t noticed I will do whatever it takes to reach that goal. If I have to pull your tights or have to take out your knee, I will do it. I didn’t bust up Macho Man for nothing; I did it for the gold. You just make sure Mene Gene is here to interview me when I come back with the belt.”

Sean Mooney: “Hmm, Gorilla and Jesse, back to you.”

Gorilla Monsoon: “This is our first Championship match of the night, with the Tag Team Championship and WWF Heavyweight Championship still to come. I can’t believe the way Eddie Gilbert just tried to justify his actions in getting to this stage of the tournament.”
Jesse Ventura: “Hot Stuff makes no secret about it; he will do whatever it takes to get WWF Championship Gold. I can’t argue with that method at all”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Off course you would. Well, it is time for the Intercontinental Championship match. Take it away Howard Finkel”

Howard Finkel: “This next match is the Finals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament and it is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, lead to the ring by his manager Missy Hyatt, weighing in at 225 lbs. ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert!”

Jesse Ventura: “Eddie Gilbert has it all doesn’t he? He has look, charisma, the ‘it’ factor with Missy Hyatt on his arm. All he needs now is some WWF Gold.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “While I wouldn’t agree with everything you said, the Intercontinental Championship would be a good place to start.”

Howard Finkel: “And his opponent…”

Howard Finkel: “Lead to the ring by his manager, Sunny, weighing in at 230 lbs. ‘No Gimmicks Needed’ Chris Candido!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Chris Candido is a man on a mission and has his eyes locked on to Eddie Gilbert.”
Jesse Ventura: “He may be on a mission, but his destiny is too be defeated right here tonight.”

The official has the Intercontinental Championship belt, shows it to Candido and then to Eddie Gilbert and then raises the Championship in the air.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Well, all the waiting and all the talking is finished, Jesse.”
Jesse Ventura: “That is right Gorilla, all of that means nothing now. Candido and Gilbert fight it out for the coveted Intercontinental Championship in our first title match of the night”
Gorilla Monsoon: “That is right; the tag team Championship and WWF Championship will be decided tonight.”

Missy Hyatt and Sunny are loudly, insulting each other across the ring ass Eddie Gilbert and Chris Candido circle the ring. And here we go, both men lock up, the struggle for position and it is Candido pushing Gilbert into the corner. The official gets in between the two men, forcing them to break, and surprisingly we get a clean break in the corner. The official separates the two across the ring from each other and both men lock up once again and Candido goes behind Gilbert into a waist lock and Gilbert scurries into the ropes to force the break. Once again the official is able to get a clean break, and they lock up again with Candido getting behind Gilbert, but Hot Stuff is quick to reverse the position and he pushes Candido into his corner. The official once again gets the clean break, but Missy Hyatt grabs a hold of Candido’s leg, distracting him and as the official goes to admonish Missy Hyatt, Eddie Gilbert strikes Candido with a right cross, and then a second. Sunny runs over to Missy Hyatt, but the official cuts her off and Hyatt throws an object into the ring towards Eddie Gilbert who catches it.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Not even 5 minutes into this match and Gilbert is resorting to these dirty tactics”
Jesse Ventura: “Hot Stuff made it clear he was going to throw the rule book out of the window, so Candido should have been better prepared.”

It looks like Eddie Gilbert has a role of quarters around his fist and he throws a right cross, but Candido ducks and kicks Gilbert in the midsection and locks in a front face lock. From their Candido elevates Hot Stuff for a delayed vertical suplex.

Gorilla Monsoon: “This is a great move here by Candido. Instead of just suplexing Gilbert over, he has him help vertically”
Jesse Ventura: “By doing that the blood in Gilbert’s body will rush to his head affecting his coordination and timing among other things.”

After 5 seconds, Candido finishes the suplex and Gilbert crashes to the mat and as he is hurt in the corner, is seen putting the quarters in his tights. The official has separated Sunny and Missy Hyatt and is back in the ring as Candido attempts a pinfall, but only gets a two as Gilbert puts his foot on the ropes. Candido delivers a knee to the forehead of Gilbert, who screams in pain crawling into the ropes forcing the official to break it up. Candido picks up the official and places him in the opposition corner. Candido turns to go after Gilbert, but is hit with a right hand by Hot Stuff.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Eddie Gilbert hit Candido with the roll of quarters Jesse. I can’t believe this man is going to cheat his way to the Intercontinental Championship!”
Jesse Ventura: “Like I said earlier, Eddie Gilbert made no secret of his intentions tonight and Gilbert has been too clever”

Gilbert pins Candido, but Sunny places his foot over the bottom rope without the official seeing. As the referee is about to count three, he sees Candido’s leg after the bottom rope and stops the count. Missy Hyatt makes her way over to Sunny and Eddie Gilbert goes to the outside and the official follows. Gilbert and Missy Hyatt are remonstrating with Sunny and it looks like it is going to get violent and Sunny is clearly distraught. Candido is up however, bounces off of the ropes launching himself towards Gilbert and Missy Hyatt screaming move to Sunny. Gilbert flies through the ropes to the outside and makes stiff contact with Eddie Gilbert as Sunny, Hyatt and the official dive out of the way!

Gilbert is the first to his feet however, as Candido is still suffering from the shot with the roll of quarters. Hot Stuff kicks Candido as few times and then gets back into the ring, apparently after the count out victory.

Sunny is there offering encouragement to Candido, who is showing signs of life and he is on the ring apron at the count of 8 but Gilbert launches off of the ropes and slams a knee into the side of Candido catapulting him into the ring barricades. Eddie Gilbert is the first to recover as Candido is still hurt from the strike with the roll of quarters. Gilbert throws a few stiff knee shots to the ribs of Candido before getting back into the ring, telling the official to make the count.

Gorilla Monsoon:
“Look at this! Eddie Gilbert trying to take the coward’s way out rather than beating Candido on the mat.”
Jesse Ventura: “Cowards way out? Eddie Gilbert is simply using the rules to his advantage.”

Sunny has made her way over to Candido and is encouraging him to get to his feet. Candido is now on the ring apron at the count of 6, as Eddie Gilbert charges towards Candido and launches a knee to the side of Candido sending him flying into the barricade.

Jesse Ventura: “Great move by Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert, sending Candido back to the outside.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Great move? More like a cheap shot.”

The official starts to berate Gilbert, as Missy Hyatt rushes towards Candido and starts to kick Chris Candido. Sunny has already made her away across and grabs Missy Hyatt by the hair and flings her to the floor. Eddie Gilbert slides to the outside, and goes straight after Sunny. Gilbert grabs her by the hair, and holds her so Missy Hyatt can slap Sunny. Missy reaches back but Chris Candido catches her arm. Eddie Gilbert lets go of Sunny and goes to attack Candido who punches Gilbert in the midsection. Candido gets to one knee and throws another shot to the ribs and he then gets to his feet. Eddie Gilbert replies with a right hand, by Candido ducks. Candido gets a waist lock with his head under Gilberts shoulder, then lifts Gilbert in the air and delivers an Atomic Drop, catapulting Eddie Gilbert face first into the steel ring post.

Gorilla Monsoon:
“It looks like Eddie Gilbert got the worst of that exchange, and he deserves it too for putting his hands on Sunny”
Jesse Ventura: “Deserves it? You are so biased Monsoon, supporting your favourite guys. Candido put his hands on Missy and even used the ring post illegally. Despicable display by Chris Candido”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Are you kidding me?!”

After quickly checking on Sunny, Candido goes after Eddie Gilbert who is getting to his feet. Candido uses the hair and the tights to help Gilbert back into the ring. Gilbert gets to his knee and begs for forgiveness from Candido. Candido goes in for the kill, swings to punch but Gilbert grabs Candido by the tights and pulls him head first into the middle turnbuckle. Gilbert uses the ropes to get to his feet as Candido falls to the mat, and Gilbert takes the time to saviour the moment, taunting the people. Candido starts to make his way to his feet, but is meet by Gilbert just as he gets to one knee. Gilbert locks in a front face lock and drives Candido’s head to the mat with a DDT!

Gilbert attempts a pinfall but Candido gets his shoulder up just in time. Eddie Gilbert calls for the Figure Four Leg Lock, drags Candido to the middle of the ring and successful locks in the hold. Candido hollers in pain and immediately tries to break the hold with his hands, but Gilbert is able to get off a right hand and Candido’s back hits the mat. The official makes a count and gets a two as Candido get a shoulder off of the mat at a count of 2. Candido is no longer trying to break the hold but just keep his shoulders off of the mat. Hot Stuff has complete control.

Jesse Ventura: “It is just a matter of time now; Candido is no longer able to cope with the pain of this hold”

Sunny is on the outside pleading with Candido to fight back, while Missy Hyatt is taunting Sunny and Candido. Candido is starting to show some fight, as he uses his arms to posture up and he starts to try and use his arms to turn the hold over.

Gorilla Monsoon: “If Candido can turn this hold over, the pressure would then be reversed, causing excruciating pain to Eddie Gilbert.”

Gilbert is now posturing up with his arms, trying to stop Candido from being able to turn the hold over and all of a sudden, Candido switches and turns the hold over the opposite side, using Gilbert’s momentum against him. The hold is reversed! Gilbert is quick to get to the ropes, where he holds on for dear life as the official comes in to break the hold. Both men are getting to their feet, with very bad limps but Gilbert is in the best shape as he recovers and makes his way over to Candido but it is Candido on the attack with punches to the midsection, then a stiff uppercut as Candido gets to his feet, still hobbling pretty bad. Candido then flies for a drop kick, but immediately holds his legs as he and Gilbert hit the mat.

Jesse Ventura: “Candido went for a risk with that drop kick attempt and he appears to have hurt his leg even worse”
Gorilla Monsoon: “You seem to be right Jesse. Candido was able to pull the move off but at what cost?”
Jesse Ventura: “That could have cost him the Intercontinental Championship”

Eddie Gilbert gets to his feet and see the hurt Candido and rushes over to him, but Candido with a small package, 1, 2… no, Gilbert kicks out.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Candid was playing possum! He nearly won the match with that move”

Both men get to their feet, but Candido is the first to strike with two right hands, then a boot to the midsection. Candido then sets Gilbert up for a reverse pile driver and he takes out Gilbert with it. Candido then goes to the middle rope and it appears he is going to go for the New Jersey Jam.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Perfectly executed leg drop from the middle rope”

Candido makes a pinfall attempt, 1, 2…no, Gilbert kicks out just before the officials hand hit the mat for the 3 count. Candido climbs to the top ropes this time and before he can launch Missy Hyatt grabs one of his legs. The official is over there in a hurry admonishing Missy Hyatt, but has distracted Candido long enough for Gilbert to get to his feet and makes his way to the corner, but Candido sees him and leaps over the top. As Gilbert turns around Candido attempts a drop kick but Eddie Gilbert steps aside and Candido crashes to the mat. Missy Hyatt is still distracting the official, as Eddie Gilbert, with his back turned pulls out the roll of quarters from earlier and wraps them around his first. Gilbert waits for Candido to get to his feet and as he swings back Sunny grabs his arm again giving Candido enough time to roll Gilbert up but the ref is still with Missy Hyatt. Sunny gets the officials attention and he slides to make the count, 1, 2 … no, no, no, Gilbert kicks out just in time. Candido cannot believe it! He turns around and Gilbert still has the roll of quarters on his fist and he swings one more time, but Candido ducks under, hooks the arm and goes for a backslide! It is a battle of strength and Candido gets Gilbert over, his shoulders are pinned. 1, 2, Gilbert is struggling to kick out, 3! That is it! Chris Candido is the Intercontinental Champion of the World!

Gilbert and Missy Hyatt are both in the ring arguing with the official as Candido and Sunny celebrate with the Intercontinental Championship!

Gorilla Monsoon: “What a great moment this is…”

Jesse Ventura: “Wait, that is not Chris Candido’s music, is it…”
Gorilla Monsoon: “It is the Macho Man! That is his music!”
Jesse Ventura: “But where is he, I can’t see him entering the arena”

The sound of Macho Man’s music gets the attention of everyone in the ring, everyone in the arena and Eddie Gilbert Is terrified. As he realises Macho Man is know where to be seen he starts to smile, but the crowd rise and turn their heads in unison as the Macho Man appears through the crowd, charging the ring in a flash! Macho gets to the top rope, and flies with a double axe handle into the back of Gilbert who flies across the ring. Macho Man is right there as Gilbert gets to his feet and starts throwing vicious jabs, and then a right cross send Gilbert over the top rope and to the outside. Macho Man climbs to the top rope as Eddie Gilbert lays across the steel barricade, but Gilbert and Hyatt bolt up the ramp and into the backstage area.

Savage watches him leave from the ropes, then climbs down and shakes Chris Candido’s hand, then raises it in the air as Candido’s music hits.

Gorilla Monsoon:
“Great moment for Chris Candido as he is crowned Intercontinental Champion, now let’s go to Sean Mooney.”

Sean Mooney: “Thanks Gorilla, those were some great scenes in the ring but not so pleasant back here. With me right now Slick and his team of Doom. Not the best night for you guys?”

Slick: “Shove it! Hart Dynasty, we are not finished with you. You guys were able to beat Slick, and innocent manager. No more games from these monsters right here. Guys, I’ve got to go take One Man Gang to the ring”
Butch Reed: “You two punks think you are tough because that little girl in your corner make our manager submit? You think that means anything to us? We will get you two in the ring again, and it is all for keeps!”

Sean Mooney: “Here is Mene Gene with the NEW Intercontinental Champion, Chris Candido.”

Gene Okerlund: “Not a good night for those men, but a great night for the man with me right now, the NEW Intercontinental Champion, ‘No Gimmicks Needed’ Chris Candido and his manager Sunny. How does it feel to have Intercontinental Championship over your shoulder?”

Chris Candido: “This is a highlight in the career of any man, to be the Intercontinental Champion. I bet Eddie Gilbert on my own merits tonight and have this big gold belt as proof.”
Randy Savage: “Oh yeah, new Intercontinental Champion…”

Gene Okerlund: “It’s the Macho Man Randy Savage…”

Randy Savage: “Sorry for interrupting Mene Gene, but I want to congratulate, ohh yeah, the new Intercontinental Champion, yeah. I also want to ask the Champ, if somewhere down the line, oh yeah, the Macho Man gets a shot at that belt? Dig it?”
Chris Candido: “Any time Macho Man, you got it!”

Gene Okerlund: “Macho Man, if I may, how was it getting a measure of revenge by getting your hands on Eddie Gilbert tonight. The same man who stopped you from continuing on in the tournament for this very belt?”

Randy Savage: “I will go home to the Mansion of the Madness with Elizabeth, a happy man oh yeah. I got only a small piece, yeah, but Eddie Gilbert is still in the danger zone, yeah, and I’m coming for the rest, oh yeeeaaahhhh, dig it!?”

Gene Okerlund: “Yes, I dig it Macho Man. Back to Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura”

Gorilla Monsoon: “What are you doing Jesse? We have a match to call!”
Jesse Ventura: “Don’t concern yourself with what I am doing okay Monsoon!”

Howard Finkel: “This next singles contest is scheduled for one fall…Making his way to the ring, ‘The Birdman’ Koko B. Ware!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Koko and Frankie making their way to the ring as the fans are going bananas!”
Jesse Ventura: “I can smell that bird from here”

Howard Finkel: “His opponent…”

Howard Finkel: “Lead to the ring by his manager, ‘The Dr of Style’ Slick, weighing in at 420 pounds, The One Man Gang!”

Jesse Ventura: “The Gang looks ready Monsoon and Slick doesn’t look like he is in a good mood after how he was unfairly abused by the Hart Dynasty”
Gorilla Monsoon: “He got what was coming to him and I hope Koko gets his hands on him as well during this match”

One Man Gang charges at Koko immediately who steps out of the way and opens up with some stiff jabs to the chin of One Man Gang who looks rocked. Koko flies for a drop kick, but Gang just swats Koko B. Ware away and Koko hits the mat hard. As Gang clears the cobwebs Koko is back to his feet and Gang grabs a hold of Koko in the corner and Irish whips The Birdman into the opposite turnbuckles and Koko hits hard, falling face first to the mat. Gang walks over and picks up Koko by the throat with two hands and holds him up high. Gang then throws Koko down to the mat.

Gorilla Monsoon:
“Koko was about 7 feet up in the air and just thrown to the mat like a rag doll”
Jesse Ventura: “I believe that will be the end of this match Monsoon”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Have you not learned you lesson about making predictions? Your about 0 and 3 so far”
Jesse Ventura: “The night is still young Gorilla”

Slick is on the outside calling for Gang to repeat the same devastating move again. Gang obliges and picks up Koko then puts his hands around his neck and propels Koko in the air, but Koko uses the momentum and drops kicks Gang into his chest, staggering the 747. Koko has the crow behind him as the drop kicks Gang again and this time Gang falls into the ropes and is now tied up. Slick quickly makes his way around to Gang and tries to untie him but it is Koko with a flying cross body. Gang is still in the ropes as now the referee is trying to untie him and Koko lays in some stiff punches. One Man Gang is no longer tied in the ropes as he falls to the mat and Koko wastes no time pinning the 747, 1…2…And Gang kicks out with authority sending Koko to the outside through the ropes.

As Gang gets to his feet it is Slick who helps Koko up, after a few kicks and shoves him into the ring. Gang drags Koko into the corner and climbs to the second rope and leaps for the 747 splash! The official makes the pine, 1…2…3!

Gorilla Monsoon: “Devastating maneuverer and this one is over. Let’s get the official word”

Howard Finkel: “The winner of this bout, The 747, One Man Gang!”

Jesse Ventura: “The Gang made quick work of Koko B. Ware and sent a message to the rest of the WWF”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Here is Mene Gene backstage. Take it away Gene!”

Gene Okerlund: “Thank you Gorilla Monsoon, okay with me right now, victorious tonight over the Brainbusters, Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson the Rock N’ Roll Express. What is next for you two after such an impressive win tonight over quality opposition?”

Robert Gibson: “We knew about this importance of this match. There is no secret the Rock N’ Roll Express has gotten off to a slow start, but tonight we took out the Brainbusters, which is a good place to start on our quest for Championship gold”
Ricky Morton: “That’s right, we are after the WWF Tag Team Championships and the competition is only going to get stronger. So right now we are putting the other teams in this division on notice. The Rock N’ Roll Express is going for the gold”

Gene Okerlund: “I think everyone got the message loud and clear after an impressive win over the Brainbusters. On moment…I’ve been told Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura is with ‘Hot Stuff’ Eddie Gilbert!”

Jesse Ventura (backstage): “Eddie Gilbert, let’s get straight to the point. That was a travesty that we all witnessed earlier this evening when your dream to be the Intercontinental Champion were stolen from you by Chris Candido and especially the Macho Man Randy Savage”

Eddie Gilbert: “I stand before you a very confused man. I knocked Randy Savage out of the tournament for the Intercontinental Championship. He says he beat me, but winners don’t get taken away in an ambulance now do they? I walked away from the match on my own two feet went home with Missy Hyatt where we popped open a bottle of champagne and relaxed while your tramp of a manager sat at your bed side, after the surgeon cut away at your knee. That was business Macho Man, it was not personal. I just wanted to advance in the tournament and claim my rightful Intercontinental Championship belt but you couldn’t handle that you bitter, bitter man. You are nuts Macho Man, you lost the plot a long time ago, but that does not change the fact that I did put you in the hospital before and won’t hesitate to do it again”

Jesse Ventura (backstage): “That is the real story with The Body, back to you Monsoon!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Eddie Gilbert is a deluded man with the audacity to act as if he defeated Randy Savage when that is a contrast to the truth. Well okay fans, we will be back in a few moments after this intermission”

Part 2 should be up this weekend! Hope you all like so far!

Gorilla Monsoon: “Well fans we are back as the fans are all rushing back to their seats for the continuation of Summerslam. Well Jesse we still have plenty of great match-ups to come”
Jesse Ventura: “That is correct Monsoon; the fans in his building are getting ready to see their hero Hulk Hogan for the last time but right now I want to talk about Eddie Gilbert, who I had the pleasure of interview moments ago.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “I have to admit it was an insightful interview Jesse, but next time you leave the booth to interview a wrestler, you could at least try to be unbiased with your questioning”
Jesse Ventura: “Wait one second Monsoon, I was nothing but objective. What I saw was a complete and utter miscarriage of justice and Eddie Gilbert should be the Intercontinental Champion, spending the night on the town celebrating with Missy Hyatt.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Well that is your opinion, but the reality is that Chris Candido is the Intercontinental Champion, but right now here is Sean Mooney!”

Sean Mooney: “We are anticipating the rematch from the Intercontinental Championship Tournament between Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and with me at this time, his opponent Lance Storm. Since you defeated Ricky Steamboat, he has been a thorn in your side after the disrespect you showed him following that match”

Lance Storm:
“I didn’t disrespect anyone, I just spoke the truth. Ricky Steamboat does not have it anymore. I am too young and too athletic for The Dragon. I proved it once and I will prove it again”

Sean Mooney: “That has yet to be seen, but you have indeed been on a slide since beating Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat. How confident are you that will that end tonight?”

Lance Storm: “I have not been on a slide at all. The truth is that some incidents out of my control have occurred which, cause me to unfairly lose some matches. I am not interested about that now because it is all going to end tonight. I beat you last time Dragon and the only thing that has changed between then and now is you are just a little bit older. So I predict I might be back in the showers a bit early tonight.

Sean Mooney: “Lance Storm defiantly does not lack any confidence tonight. Now here is ‘Mene’ Gene Okerlund.”

Gene Okerlund: “It is my pleasure to be joined by this man, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat. Your opponent has beaten you once before, what has changed between then and now?”
Ricky Steamboat: “Yes, Lance Storm has defeated me in the past but I have discovered that for all of his strengths in the ring he lacks one important thing and this is a spine. To my face you show respect, but when my back is turned you tell everyone I am washed up, that I didn’t have it anymore. You let it get to your head and as a result lost your next two matches and missed out on a chance to be Intercontinental Champion! I will take advantage of that weakness and get the ultimate revenge, by beating you tonight!”

Gene Okerlund: “Best of luck to you Ricky Steamboat, now let’s go back to the arena”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Ricky Steamboat looks like he has something to prove to the world, to Lance Storm and to himself”
Jesse Ventura: “The only facts that will be proven in this match is that Lance Storm is the future, while the Dragon is the past, Monsoon”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Well there is only one way to find out and that is to go to the ring. Here is Howard Finkel!”

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen, this contest is schedule for one fall, approaching the ring area, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 221 lbs, Lance Storm!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “There is an aura of confidence surrounding this man”
Jesse Ventura: “He has every reason to be confident Monsoon”

Howard Finkel: “His opponent, from Honolulu, Hawaii. Weighing in at 235 lbs, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat!”

Jesse Ventura:
“This could be the last time we see Ricky Steamboat walk the aisle”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Will you stop with that talk”

The official has to physically keep Storm and Steamboat in their neutral corners, before the rings the bell. As soon as he does, Storm and Steamboat lock up in the middle of the ring and it is Storm with an arm drag. Steamboat gets to his feet and Storm yells “See, you still suck!” Steamboat goes on the attack, but Storm sticks his body between the ropes and Steamboat grabs Storm by the hair but the official has to force the break by bear hugging Steamboat and uses his entire body weight to force Steamboat to the middle of the ring. Storm attempts a Crescent Kick as Steamboat argues with the official, but Steamboat ducks just in time and backhands Storm across the face.

Jesse Ventura: “Can you believe what Steamboat just did?”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Yes I can. Storm went for the old Pearl Harbour job and got a backhand slap for his troubles!”

Storm feels his face then looks at Steamboat and throws a right hand but it is blocked. The Dragon hits a right hand of his own, then a reverse knife-edge chop to the chest, then a second one. Steamboat then whips Storm into the ropes and leap frogs over Storm, then leap frogs Storm again, the third time Storm returns, it is The Dragon with his signature, deep arm drag. Storm gets up against the ropes and Steamboat leaps of a drop kick, sending Storm over the top rope to the outside!

Gorilla Monsoon: “The fans are out of their seats, as Steamboat well and truly has control over this match!”
Jesse Ventura: “It is still early Monsoon, plenty of time left.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Not unless Lance Storm can come up with something to at least slow down The Dragon”

Lance Storm starts kicking the ring steps in frustration as the ringside fans try to get under his skin. As the official begins his count, Steamboat holds the ropes open for Storm, and signals for Lance to enter the ring. Storm cautiously enters the ring and moves to the opposite side. Steamboat and Storm engage again with a collar and elbow tie up and they struggle for position until Storm is able to get a side headlock and immediately grounds Steamboat with a headlock take over.

Jesse Ventura: “It looks like Storm is going to try and slow the match down by grounding The Dragon”
Gorilla Monsoon: “For all of his negative traits, Lance Storm is a very intelligent wrestler”

Storm has a tight hold of the headlock, as the official checks to make sure Storm does not turn this into a choke hold. Steamboat has both shoulders on the mat, but gets it off of the mat after the official counts 1. Storm lets go of the hold and attacks with two knees between the shoulder blades of Steamboat and switches to a chin lock with his knee stuck in between The Dragon’s shoulder blades. The officially repeatedly asks if Steamboat wants to quit, but Steamboat refuses to submit. Lance Storm once again throws stiff knees to the back of Steamboat and goes back to the hold. After a few more moments, Storm releases the hold, then bounces off of the ropes and hits a sharp neck snap. Steamboat grabs a hold of his neck, screaming in pain as Storm plays to the ground.

Lance Storm walks over to Steamboat in the corner, picks him up by the head and uses a snapmare take over to position The Dragon in the middle of the ring. Storm grabs Steamboat by the legs and is about to lock in his signature Maple Leaf submission, but Steamboat grabs Storms leg and surprises him with a small package! Storm kicks out at 1 and jumps to his feet and lays into The Dragon with repeated stomps to the midsection. Lance starts instigating the crowd again and climbs to the top rope and he waits for Steamboat to get to this feet. Once Steamboat is standing, Storm flies and hits a Missile Drop Kick, sending Steamboat through the ropes and to the floor.

As the official gets to the count of 5, Steamboat starts to show life and gets to the apron by the count of 8 and Lance Storm approaches but Steamboat uses the ropes to slide under Storm’s legs. He gets to his feet and chops Storm twice across the chest. Storm responds with a knee to the midsection, grabs Steamboat by the hair and throws him over the top rope but The Dragon gets a hold of the top rope and ‘skins the cat’ back into the ring. Storm sees this and gets momentum for a clothesline but Steamboat drops to the mat, pulling the top rope down and Storm flies over the top, falling to the floor. Steamboat is unable to keep his feet as he collapses to the mat.

Jesse Ventura: “Steamboat used the last bit of energy he had on that move Monsoon. All Storm needs to do is get back in the ring and pin The Dragon”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Lance Storm doesn’t look to flash himself. Steamboat has time to regroup”

Lance Storm gets back into the ring by the count of 6 and he pins The Dragon nonchalantly for the 1…2…Steamboat gets his shoulder off of the mat, barely. Storm has a look of shock across his face and he pins Steamboat again, but this time hooks the leg 1…2…again Steamboat gets a shoulder out. Storm looks at the official and slaps his hands 3 times telling the official to count faster. Storm goes for another pinfall, but The Dragon kicks out again! This time Storm gets to his feet and starts to berate the official in the corner about the count. The official stands up for himself and pushes Storm in the chest, pointing to his shirt saying he is the referee.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Storm needs to get out of the official face before he is disqualified.”
Jesse Ventura: “Sure, you would love that wouldn’t you Monsoon?”

While this is going on, Steamboat is crawling over to Storm on his hands and knees and school boys Lance Storm and official quickly gets to the mat for the count. 1…2…and this time Storm kicks out. Storm gets to his feet first and as he is about to launch an attack, Steamboat is up and goes for and successfully executes a crucifix pinfall attempt and the official quickly gets to the mat to count the pin. 1…2…Storm kicks out again. Storm gets to his feet first and as Steamboat gets to his knees, Storm bounces off of the ropes and attacks with a leg lariat, which he hits perfectly.

Gorilla Monsoon: “What an athletic move by Lance Storm there.”
Jesse Ventura: “Even I will admit he was in trouble for a moment there, but he clearly has more tricks up his sleeve then Ricky Steamboat”

Lance Storm assesses the situation as he regains his composure. Storm waits for Steamboat to get to his feet and attempts a crescent kick, but Steamboat catches his foot and then let’s go and leaps onto the shoulders of Storm, spins around and then rolls Storm up with a victory roll. The official makes the count 1…2…3!

Gorilla Monsoon: “He did it! Steamboat did it!”
Jesse Ventura: “I can’t believe it”

Howard Finkel: “The winner of this bout, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat!”
Lance Storm is stunned as the official raises the hand of Steamboat but Storm decides to charge at Steamboat, however, The Dragon moves out of the way and uses Storm’s momentum to launch Storm over the top rope.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Cowardly attack by Lance Storm but a great victory by Ricky Steamboat nonetheless. Right now, here is Raven somewhere in the arena”

Raven (Filmed by handheld camera, somewhere backstage):
“My earliest memories are not of anything specific, they're more like memories of feelings as opposed to events. Feelings of abandonment, feelings of loneliness, feelings of sadness. They say our destiny is formed in these earliest moments. That our fate is determined at this critical juncture. The chosen begin their path towards greatness, the ill-fated are doomed from the beginning. The unfortunate devour themselves, searching for annihilation. You see we are all prisoners of our own nature, locked in certain patterns of behaviour. I could no sooner change the path that I've been placed upon, than stop a swallow from migrating, or a samu from spawning. So it is written, so it shall come to pass. "Quote The Raven Nevermore!"

Gorilla Monsoon: “That is one sick and disturbed man Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “Well he is getting mentally prepared to take part in that barbaric Hardcore Three Way Dance. That match is a toss-up Monsoon”
Gorilla Monsoon: “I can’t pick a winner either Jesse. Right now, here is Mean Gene Okerlund!”

Gene Okerlund: “It is my pleasure and an honour to be here with Terry Funk just before he goes to compete in Hardcore action. A three way dance Terry Funk, this is going to be exciting”
Terry Funk: “I appreciate the kind words Mene Gene, and yes I will be in this three way dance tonight and a match like this changes your thinking, Gene. See you need to have eyes in the back of your head, you become a bit paranoid”
Gene Okerlund: “What about the hardcore elements how does a person like you prepare for those elements? “
Terry Funk: “I prepare the same way I did as a teen, when I was getting stretched by men like Danny Hodge up at the Double Cross Ranch. Being Hardcore is not about weapons Gene, it is about getting up when your back is aching, when your face is covered in blood with barbed wire sticking in your leg. I was born and breed to survive in those conditions, and Terry Funk will survive”
Gene Okerlund: “Best of luck to you Terry Funk and right now here is Sean Mooney”

Sean Mooney: “Three hardcore icons will compete in a three way dance. New Jack, looks to prove he is the King of Hardcore”
New Jack: “You should be thanking your lucky stars I didn’t whoop that ass when you knocked on my locker room door asking to interview me. You are lucky I am such a nice guy and I don’t smack you upside the head and take you lunch money for asking a stupid question like that. I have proven to be the King of Hardcore, I’ve known hardcore since day one. Terry Funk said that as a kid he was getting stretched learning wrist locks, well I was learning the hustle, jacking wrist watches. That’s how it goes right? Shut up! After all that, I still respect you for being a tough sob, but I take anyone claiming to be more hardcore than me as disrespect and that’s why I challenged you. Raven on the other hand, I have no respect. Raven is a whining and crying bitch with a silver spoon in his mouth. Tonight I’m taking that silver spoon and shoving it up your ass. Now get the hell out of here!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Well I am speechless Jesse Ventura”
Jesse Ventura: “All I can say is to be a professional wrestler, takes a person who is a bit nuts up stairs, if you know what I mean. That is exactly why I was a Champion and you never won any gold.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “The difference between us, is I didn’t get carried to tag team gold”

Howard Finkel: “This next match is a Hardcore Three Way Dance. The rules are simple, the first man to be pinned or submit will be eliminated and the remaining two competitors will continue until there is a winner.”

Howard Finkel: “Approaching the ring first, weighing 220 lbs from The Bowery, This is Raven”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Jesse, this guy is one disturbed individual”
Jesse Ventura: “Well, I cannot disagree with you there Gorilla”

Howard Finkel: “Contest number 2, weighing in at 225 lbs from Oakland, California, ‘The Original Gangsta’ New Jack!”

Jesse Ventura: “We agreed Raven is disturbed but this guy right here is perverted.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “New Jack does have a sinister streak, and is unapologetic about it. Just look at the array of weapons New Jack is bring with him in that shopping cart”
Jesse Ventura: “He has a chair, a trash can and that looks like a Hockey Stick? I wonder what else he has in there Gorilla.”

Howard Finkel: “Contestant number 3, weighing in at 235 pounds from The Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, Terry Funk!”

The official is physical restraining New Jack as he wants a piece of Raven, but Terry Funk has raced to the ring and slides under the bottom rope, twirls Jack around and they immediately start exchanging right hands. While the brawl is going on the official wastes no time ringing the bell to officially start the match and Raven is still sitting in the corner as the brawl between New Jack and Terry Funk continues. Terry Funk gets the best of New Jack as the veteran lays in some stiff jabs followed by a swift right cross sending Jack to the mat.
Terry Funk turns his attention to Raven, but Raven has already launches himself out of the corner and clotheslines Funk to the mat. New Jack is now on his feet and Raven backs away into the opposite corner as Terry Funk also gets to his feet. New Jack and Funk look at each other and it looks like they are agreeing to team up on Raven who is trying to get Funk and Jack to fight each other. Funk and New Jack approach and corner Raven, who is now begging them off. Funk and New Jack go to grab a hold of Raven, who ducks and scurries out of the corner. Raven then attempts a double clothesline but Funk and New Jack duck. Raven is in the same corner again as Funk and New Jack turn around and start to punch Raven repeatedly in unison. They then Irish whip Raven across the ring into the opposite corner and Raven falls flat on his face as his back smashes into the turnbuckle pads. Terry Funk goes over to Raven and puts his boot across the throat of Raven and uses the ropes to put pressure across Raven’s throat. New Jack reaches over the top rope and reaches into his shopping cart and pulls out a steel chair. As Funk is now stomping the chest of Raven, New Jack takes the chair and smashes Terry Funk across the back.

New Jack continues to use the edge of the chair to lay into the midsection of Terry Funk as the fans have turned on New Jack, booing him. Raven gets up and joins the party by kicking Terry Funk. New Jack stops using the chair, steps back and looks at Raven in astonishment.

Gorilla Monsoon: “New Jack can’t believe Raven is joining in on his fun”

New Jack takes the chair and hits Raven across the back with the chair, and the fans now cheer in approval. New Jack drops the chair and goes back to his collection of weapons and pulls out a trash can and a Kendo stick. Raven is too his feet as New Jack this him across the head with the trash can. Jack then puts Raven inside the trash can and winds up with the Kendo Stick and repeatedly hits the side of the trash can with Raven inside. New Jacks winds up for an overhead shot, but Funk is up to his feet and snatches the Kendo Stick as New Jack raises the kendo stick over his head. Raven has now fallen to the mat as Terry Funk hits New Jack in the side with the Kendo stick, then takes him out with a shot to the head. With Jack and Raven down and out, Terry Funk raises the Kendo Stick in the air and the fans pop.

Raven is out of the trash can and starts getting to his feet and Funk approaches with bad intentions, but Raven desperately kicks Funk in the midsection and DDT’s Funk into the trash can from earlier. New Jack is not back to his feet and he stomps Raven and Funk a few times before going to the outside and begins to pull a table into the ring. New Jack starts setting it up in the ring as Raven and Terry Funk get to their feet and immediately start exchanging punches. They are in the corner across from the table New Jack has finished setting up and Funk attempts to Irish Whip Raven, but it is reversed and Funk is flung towards New Jack who has just turned around, bends over and back body drops Terry Funk through the table! New Jack immediately charges Raven and attempts a clothesline, but Raven ducks, turns and drop kicks New Jack chest first into the turnbuckles, then attempts to win with a school boy but New Jack kicks out after the 2 count.

Raven sets up the chair from earlier in the middle of the ring and then makes his way over to New Jack who is on his feet and Irish Whip’s New Jack across the ring and as he returns Raven hits the mat attempting to drop toe hold New Jack into the chair but New Jack, leaps over Raven’s legs avoiding the move. Jack picks up the chair and just hits Raven with it to the body. New Jack ditches the chair and goes to the outside and starts going through the contents of his shopping cart but Raven is now to his feet and he goes over to the ropes and uses the top rope too slingshot himself over to the outside and he nails a cross body press to New Jack. The entire crowd are up to their feet as New Jack and Raven are spent, lying on the floor. This leaves Terry Funk in the ring, who has finally gotten to his feet. Funk goes over towards New Jack and Terry Funk, step to the apron and starts climbing to the second rope. New Jack and Raven are up to their feet as Funk launches for an Asia Moonsault and is on target!

Gorilla Monsoon: “Terry Funk is on fire right now Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “On fire? He has lost his mind! Terry Funk is nuts!”

Terry Funk is to his feet first as the crowd start chanting his name, ‘Terry! Terry! Terry!’ New jack starts to get to his feet and Funk goes over to attempt a pile driver, but New Jack drives his shoulder through the body of Terry Funk, until Funk’s back slams into the ring post. New Jack follows up with a right hand, but Terry Funk ducks and New Jack drives his right hand into the ring post. Terry Funk then locks in a sleeper hold and the official is right there checking in case there is a submission. New Jack counters by backing Terry Funk into the ring apron. New Jack gets the dazed Terry Funk over his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver onto the floor. New Jack is not able to capitalise immediately and pin Terry Funk as New Jack is visibly in pain, but eventually makes the pinfall which is broken up by Raven. Raven reaches into New Jack’s shopping cart and pulls out an Ice Hockey Stick. Raven goes to hit New Jack with it, but New Jack counters with a low blow. He is quick to snatch the weapon and uses it to low blow Raven again! Raven falls to his knees and is bent over trying to catch his breath from those two low blows. New Jack is on his feet and the crowd is cheering as New Jack starts to get in rhythm by strumming the stick like a guitar, then smashing Raven straight across the back with it and Raven screams in agony.

Terry Funk slides into the ring and New Jack leaves Raven to reach into his shopping cart and pull out a staple gun! As New Jack gets into the ring with the staple gun, Terry Funk slides to the outside, reaches under the ring and pulls out a Fire Extinguisher and as New Jack makes his way to that side of the ring, Terry Funk sprays the fire extinguisher in the face of New Jack. Terry Funk enters the ring as New Jack is temporarily blinded and takes the staple gun. He raises it to the crowd and Funk uses the staple gun on the forehead of New Jack! Raven comes from out of nowhere and grabs Terry Funk by the apron and pulls him to the outside. Raven takes Funk by the head and slams him into the guardrail. Raven then sets up Funk for his patent Russian Leg Sweep into the guardrail. While Raven continue to dish out punishment to Terry Funk, New Jack is setting up a steel chair to help get to his feet and then moves towards Raven and Funk. New Jack reaches over and snatches a handful of Raven’s hair and pulls him up onto the apron but Raven wraps his right arm around the back of New Jack’s head and drops to the ground, pulling New Jack’s throat across the top rope. Terry Funk is too his feet but Raven sets him up for a piledriver, but Terry Funk back body drops Raven on the outside. New Jack is back to his feet and before Terry Funk can do more damage to Raven, New Jack challenges Terry Funk to re-enter the ring. Terry Funk is happy to oblige and hops on the apron and climbs through the ropes but is meet by a knee to the midsection and a double axe handle to the back of Terry Funk. New Jack picks up the steel chair from earlier and smashes Funk across the back. Funk has no quit in him though, as he gets to his hands and knee and crawls towards New Jack and is hit against across the back. New Jack holds the chair in the air and signals to the top rope.

Jesse Ventura: “I did some research on New Jack and he is going to eliminate Funk right here with the 187”

New Jack is about to start climbing the ropes, but Raven quickly crawls into the ring, turns New Jack around and hits The Raven Effect DDT!

Gorilla Monsoon: “Raven was playing possum Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “Smart move by Raven, while Funk and Jack are trying to be hardcore, Raven is being smart”

Raven makes the pinfall 1…2…3! New Jack has been eliminated.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Do not underestimate that move right there, Raven drills the head into the mat, crunching the spin of his opponent.”

New Jack is out, and Raven scurries over to Terry Funk and attempts to win the match, the official counts 1…2...and Terry Funk kicks out! Raven starts throwing right hands and then pins Terry Funk again, but Funk kicks out again. Raven gets to his feet and starts kicking Terry Funk, then chokes him with his foot, goes to his knees and starts choking with his hands. Raven stops and rather than attempt another pinfall goes and gets a steel chair and place sets it up, standing in the middle of the ring, and then walks over to Terry Funk, trying to pick him up. New Jack is awake however, ignores the official’s orders, and takes the steel chair and KO’s Raven across the back of the head and he is out. New Jack drags Raven to the middle of the ring and wastes no time climbing to the top turnbuckle. New Jack nails the flying elbow drop with the chair and the crowd pops chanting “New Jack! New Jack! ”

New Jack jumps to his feet, spits on Raven and leaves. We are left with Raven and Terry Funk, out on the canvas. The official starts a count of ten, with some hesitation. 1…2…3… Terry Funk is the first to start moving 4…5…6…Terry Funk has gotten to his knees with help from the ropes but stumbles as Raven starts to show some life and he is cut badly over the right eye 7…8…9…Terry Funk has just gotten to his feet and breaks the count. The match continues as Terry Funk gains his balance and Raven is almost at his feet, with minor blood stains on the mat. Raven is at his feet first and he moves over to Terry Funk and sets up for The Raven Effect, but Funk counters with an inside cradle for the pin, 1…2 and Raven kicks out. Both men are slow to their feet and Raven goes to attack, but Terry Funk grabs a hold of Raven’s ankles and trips him up. Terry keeps a hold of Raven’s feet and slingshots Raven who hits the top turnbuckle face first. Terry Funk grabs hold of a stunned Raven and hits a hangman’s neck breaker.

Raven grabs a hold of his neck in agony as Terry Funk crawls over to the shopping cart new Jack left near the ring and he reaches deep inside to pull out a steel pipe! Funk gets to his feet and waits for Raven to get in position to be hit with it, but as Raven gets to his knees he launches a super kick and barley clips Terry Funk’s chin, which is still enough to knock Funk to the ground. Raven also collapses to the mat after the desperate super kick and after a few moments’ uses the ropes to get to his feet. He turns and sees Funk starting to move and on the way to his feet it is Raven with a knee lift! Raven goes for a pin and the official counts 1…2…and Funk gets a shoulder up! Raven looks frustrated and sees the steel chair is still in the ring. Raven sets it up in the middle of the ring and Funk is starting to show life, and Raven assists him to his feet and Funk fights back with weak shots to the midsection, and Raven delivers a knee to the midsection. Raven Irish Whips Funk from the ropes across the ring and as Funk returns off of the opposite ropes, Raven attacks with a drop toe hold and Funk hits the chair face first crushing it.

Raven’s face is now covered in blood, as Funk has now been busted open as well. Raven drops down for a pinfall but only gets a two count. Raven losses it and throws rapid right hands to the cut on Terry Funk’s forehead. Raven attempts another pinfall and Funk kicks out right on the count of 2. Raven gets to his feet and stomps the forehead of Terry Funk a few times. Raven then leaves the ring and goes over to his Leather Jacket and reaches in the inside pocket to pull out a 3 foot long steel chain. Terry Funk is over on his stomach trying to get to his feet and Raven walks over and starts choking Funk with the chain. The blood covering Funk’s forehead is clearly visible as is the blood covering Raven’s face is. Raven finally releases and gets to his feet taunting the crowd with his arms stretched out in his famous pose.

Raven turns his back on Terry Funk while still posing but Funk is regained his breath and starts going through his tights and pulls out a pair of brass knuckles. Raven has stopped posing and picks up a steel chair as Terry Funk is at his feet back turned. Raven turns his head and sees Funk is at his feet, back turned. Raven swings the chair at Funk who turns around and blocks the chair shot by punching the chair with his brass knuckles on his hand. Funk is holding his hand in pain and Raven swings the chair again aiming at Funk’s head, but the veteran ducks. Funk takes advantage and punches Raven right on the chin with the brass knuckles, Raven staggers and drops the chair. Terry Funk kicks Raven in the midsection and pulls him in for a piledriver.

Gorilla Monsoon: “This crowd has gone bananas!”
Jesse Ventura: “The crowd can’t believe what they are seeing. I can’t believe what I am seeing!”

Terry Funk left Raven up and spikes Raven head first into the mat! Terry Funk rolls over and covers Raven’s prone body with one arm and the official makes the count, 1…2…3!

Jesse Ventura: “I can’t believe it!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Well you better believe it Jesse, let’s get the official word”

Howard Finkel: “The winner of this 3 way dance, Terry Funk!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Terry Funk is victorious but I think all three of those men will never be the same for a long time”
Jesse Ventura: “Sickening I know”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Finally a bit of compassion from you Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “Compassion? I meant Terry Funk winning is sickening”
Gorilla Monsoon: “You’re a bit sickening yourself”
Jesse Ventura: “Why, thank you Gorilla”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Here is Mene Gene”

Gene Okerlund: “With me right now are the WWF Tag Team Champions, Rick and Scott, The Steiner Brothers! Finally the moment where you defend those belts against 2 members of the Fabulous Freebirds is here.”
Scott Steiner: “The Freebirds have done a lot of talking, but tonight they get a chance to back up all those words. My brother and I never back down from a challenge even if it is 3 against 2. All I have to do is get one of you up on my shoulders and my brother will finish the job”
Gene Okerlund: “And Rick, only two of the Freebirds will be in this match, but do you expect to have to deal with whichever member is on the outside?”

Rick Steiner:
“There is one thing we are not, and that is stupid. We will have to be watching each other’s backs in this match, but that is what great tag teams do. We are prepared to deal with all three of the Freebirds tonight and will be back here with you Mene Gene, with the WWF Tag Team Championship belts!”

Gene Okerlund: “Best of luck to you tonight. Now here is Sean Mooney”

Sean Mooney: “Here with me at this time, they are from Badstreet USA, The Fabulous Freebirds just before they go out to wrestle for the WWF Tag Team Championships. The champions, The Steiner Brothers have been on a roll recently but you three plan to put a stop to that, but may I ask which two of you will participate in this match tonight?”

Terry Gordy: “Well you nosey little punk, who do you think you are to dare ask us a question like that!? Huh!?”
Michael P.S. Hayes: “Relax big fella, you can get all that aggression out of your system tonight, that’s a given. The real question is will this animal of a man be a legal part of this Title Match? See the Steiner Brothers are great athletes, but the key to this business is getting the minds of your opponents on something other than the match and The Freebirds are masters at that. Each combination has a different dynamic and you boys don’t know which, two it will be. You don’t know what to expect, but we know what to expect…we expect to be crowned WWF Tag Team Champions”

Sean Mooney: “Powerful words, the Freebirds and the Steiner’s are next!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “It is time for the Tag Team Championship match Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “I can’t wait to see which, combination the Freebirds go with tonight”
Gorilla Monsoon: “I don’t think it is going to matter…”
Jesse Ventura: “I agree! Freebirds will be the new Tag Champs either way”
Gorilla Monsoon: “That isn’t what I was going to say, it will not matter because all three will get physically involved somehow”
Jesse Ventura: “What are you implying?”
Gorilla Monsoon: “I’m not implying anything; I am telling you The Freebirds will try to cheat”
Jesse Ventura: “Well if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Only in your twisted world, here is Howard Finkel!”

Howard Finkel:
“This Tag Team contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the WWF World Tag Team Championship. On their way to the ring, accompanied by Buddy Roberts. They weighed in at a combined weight of 554 lbs, from Badstreet USA, Terry ‘Bam Bam’ Gordy and Michael P.S Hayes, "The Fabulous FreeBirds!”

Howard Finkel: “Introducing the WWF Tag Team Champions, from Detroit, Michigan at a combined weight of 570 lbs, Rick and Scott “The Steiner Brothers!”

The Steiner’s rush the ring and the Freebirds immediately exit the ring. Rick and Scott climb to the top turnbuckle and hold their WWF Tag Team Championship Belts up high. They get down, hand the belts to the referee and wait in a neutral corner for the Freebirds to get ready to start the match.

Gorilla Monsoon: “It appears the Freebirds are a bit tentative about getting this match started”
Jesse Ventura: “They are being smart. The Steiner’s entered the arena ready to fight. The Freebirds are going to let that build up even more to get them frustrated. Mind games Gorilla”

Hayes and Gordy finally get in the ring and it appears that Michael Hayes will begin this match for the Freebirds. As for the Steiner Brother, it looks like ‘The Dog Face Gremlin’ Rick Steiner will start this match for his team.

Michael Hayes struts and then moonwalks alongside the ropes and they crowd boos. Rick Steiner barks at the crowd and they bark back. The crowd is clearly on the side of the Champions. Hayes and Steiner go to lock up but Hayes kicks Rick in the midsection then elbows him in the back of the next. Hayes bounces off of the ropes and attempts a knee lift but Rick gets out of the way and Hayes falls flat on his back. Hayes scurries back into this corner before Rick can capitalize and tags in Terry Gordy. Gordy enters the ring and signals for Rick to tag in his brother Scott Steiner. After approval from the fans, Rick tags Scott in.

Jesse Ventura: “It looks as if Gordy is challenging Scott Steiner to a bit of amateur wrestling”
Gorilla Monsoon: “I wonder how long that will last”

Gordy and Scott feel each other out and Gordy reaches for a double leg, but Scott Steiner is able to sprawl and stop the take-down. Steiner is able to get a front face lock on as Gordy switches to a single leg and forces Scott into the ropes and the referee forces the break. The official restarts the action and the combatants meet again with a tradition collar and elbow tie-up and after a brief struggle Scott gets control of an arm and uses a spinning wrist lock. Scott has Gordy’s wrist pressed up against his chest then delivers an elbow across Gordy’s elbow before switching to a standing arm bar. Gordy cannot find a counter, so grabs a hold of Scott Steiner’s hair and pushes Scott towards the ropes. Gordy uses the ropes to throw Steiner across the ring breaking the hold and Gordy drops down forcing Scott Steiner to leap over the top. Gordy gets to his feet and Steiner throws a big clothesline. The clothesline staggers Gordy but he keeps his feet. Steiner wastes no time and Irish Whips Gordy across the ring and Steiner hits his signature Frankensteiner!

Gorilla Monsoon: “Big move from the big man, boy did he get up high”

Michael Hayes rushes the ring and starts kicking Scott Steiner, but Rick quickly enters the ring and grabs a waist lock around Hayes. Rick drops his weight and lifts Hayes with a release German Suplex! Hayes drops to the outside and Gordy gets to his feet, but Scott Steiner picks Gordy up on his shoulders and Rick waste no time climbing to the top ropes. Buddy Roberts gets a hold of Rick Steiner’s leg as he tries to climb to the top turnbuckle. Scott Steiner cannot see this as his back is turned and cannot see that Rick has no dropped to the apron and is kicking Roberts in the head. Gordy takes advantage and Victory Rolls Steiner but Scott kicks out at 1. Both men get to their feet, but it is Terry Gordy with a big boot. Gordy bounces off the ropes and hits a running leg drop across the chest of Scott Steiner. Steiner is on his knees slowly moving in for a tag, but Gordy grabs a hold his hair and tags in Michael Hayes. Gordy raises Steiner’s arm, leaving the midsection open for Hayes, who twice kicks Scott in the ribs.

Jesse Ventura: “Terry Gordy and Michael Hayes have a major advantage right now”
Gorilla Monsoon: “It only took 5 minutes for Buddy Roberts to get involved”
Jesse Ventura: “Excuse me; if the official had any control of his match he would have disqualified The Steiner’s.
Gorilla Monsoon: “For what?”
Jesse Ventura: “Rick Steiner was not the legal man earlier and was in the ring for longer than 5 seconds. So Buddy Roberts was just doing what the official should have done in the first place”

Michael Hayes puts Scott Steiner in a side head lock and starts punching Scott repeatedly in the face. Hayes let’s go as the official warns him about using a fist. Hayes snapmares Steiner to the mat, then bounces off of the ropes and drops a knee to the forehead of Steiner. Hayes tags in Gordy and they Irish Whip Steiner across the ring and perform a double hip-toss. The Freebirds raise their hands above their head and the crowd boo’s. Hayes leaves the ring as Gordy stops Steiner who has started to crawl towards his corner. Gordy helps Steiner to his feet by the hair. Gordy grabs a waist lock and throws Steiner towards the Freebirds corner with a back suplex. Gordy covers Steiner and the official gets only a count of 1. Gordy picks Steiner up while tagging in Michael Hayes. The freebirds attempt another double team move by Irish Whipping Scott across the ring and attempt a double clothesline, but Scott ducks bounces off of the ropes and clotheslines Gordy and Hayes!

Gorilla Monsoon: “They went to the well, one too many times.”
Jesse Ventura: “Desperation move by Scott Steiner”

Steiner begins making his way towards his corner as both Freebird members get to their feet. Hayes tries to stop Steiner by grapping his leg but Scott turns over and kicks Hayes off who flies backwards and clashes heads with Terry Gordy. Scott Steiner finally makes the tag and Rick is in the ring. He clotheslines Hayes, and scoops Gordy up for a power slam. Rick ducks under a clothesline attempt by Hayes, then hits a belly to belly suplex. Steiner bridges while holding onto Hayes and the referee makes the count but Gordy breaks it up after the count of two. Scott Steiner is back in the ring and starts throwing right hands at Gordy who starts throwing back. The referee tries to break it up and as a result leaves an opening for Buddy Roberts to get involved. Roberts hit the ring by Rick Steiner is on his feet and Steinerlines Roberts! Hayes is up on his knees and delivers a low blow to Rick Steiner. The official has to physically force Scott Steiner into his corner as Gordy volunteers to go back to his corner when he sees his team has the advantage. Hayes tags in Gordy and drops an elbow across the back of Rick Steiner. Gordy drops an elbow of his own and rolls Rick over onto his back and Gordy covers Steiner. 1…2, Steiner kicks out and Gordy yells at the referee in anger about the speed of the count.

Gordy pulls Rick Steiner up to his feet, and gets Steiner across his shoulders in a fireman’s carry and plants Rick Steiner with a Samoan Drop. Gordy lays across Steiner for a pinfall attempt, but only gets a 2. Gordy gets to his feet, back the referee into the corner and points in his face while demanding he count quicker. Gordy turns his attention back to Rick Steiner, who is getting up to his feet and punches Gordy in the midsection. Steiner strikes Gordy again, but Gordy throws a vicious forearm strike to the back of Rick Steiner. Gordy grabs the back of Steiner’s head and slams his head into the top turnbuckle and then tags in Michael Hayes. Buddy Roberts hops on the ring apron to distract the referee again as Terry Gordy starts using the tag rope to choke Rick Steiner. Michael Hayes starts punching and kicking Rick Steiner as Scott Steiner starts yelling at the referee. Scott enters the ring to save Rick Steiner, but Buddy Roberts leaps to the floor allowing the official to focus in the ring and stops Scott Steiner just before he can attack Michael Hayes. Gordy stops choking Rick, as the official finally gets Scott back into his corner.

Michael Hayes tags in Terry Gordy, but Scott Steiner has left his corner and starts to attack Buddy Roberts. Michael Hayes drops down to stop Steiner and the referee leaves the ring to keep Scott Steiner and Michael Hayes apart which, distracts Terry Gordy. Steiner backs off the referee is still trying to control Michael Hayes, so Scott Steiner slides in the ring and stands behind Gordy. Gordy turns around and Scott Steiner kicks Gordy in the midsection and then gets double under hooks and suplex’s Gordy on his head. The crowd jumps out of their seats and Scott Steiner gets back into his corner as the referee gets back into the ring. The referee starts to count both guys out as Steiner pumps the crowd up every more. Both men start moving by the count of 4. Rick Steiner and Terry Gordy start moving to tag their respective partner and make it to their partners at the same time.

Hayes enters the ring and immediately starts begging off as Scott Steiner approaches. Steiner uses brute force to Irish Whip Hayes into the turnbuckles. Hayes staggers to the middle of the ring and Steiner picks Hayes up over his head into a Military Press. Gordy is back to his feet, but Steiner throws Hayes right at Gordy which knocks him down. Buddy Roberts is hysterical on the outside as Roberts gets to his feet. He bounces off of the ropes and attempts a big boot, but Steiner ducks and as Gordy turns around, runs into a knee from Scott Steiner. Steiner then tosses Gordy with a gut wrench suplex, which sends him to the outside.

Hayes is back up and moves towards Scott Steiner who is getting to his feet after that suplex, but Rick Steiner is up and hits a big Steiner-line. The Steiner Brothers signal to the crowd and Rick Steiner climbs to the top rope as Scott Steiner elevates Hayes onto his shoulders. Rick Steiner leaps from the top rope and bulldogs Hayes off of Scott Steiner’s shoulders. Scott makes the pin and Rick cuts off Terry Gordy as the referee counts 1…2…but Buddy Roberts crawls into the ring and breaks up the pin by hitting Steiner across the back. The official has called for the bell and this one is over.

Gorilla Monsoon: “The bell has been rung but I’m not sure what the official decision will be”
Jesse Ventura: “That makes two of us. Clearly Michael Hayes kicked out, so maybe the Steiner’s have been disqualified for all those illegal double teams”
Gorilla Monsoon: “I’ve just about had enough of you tonight”

The Freebirds escape the ring and start leaving the arena as the Steiner’s are calling them back to the ring.

Howard Finkel: “Ladies and Gentlemen, the referee has informed me that the Fabulous Freebirds have been disqualified. As a result, the winners of his bout and still WWF Tag Team Champions. Rick and Scott, The Steiner Brothers!”

Jesse Ventura: “Clearly that was the worst officiated match of the night. The Steiner Brothers continuously threw the rule book out of the window and got away with it”
Gorilla Monsoon: “This show wouldn’t be the same without you Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “What? Are you expecting a thank you?”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Ladies and Gentlemen, here is Sean Mooney”

Sean Mooney: “I hope everyone is enjoying the action, but with me right now The Great Muta and his manager Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. It hasn’t been a good night for the Heenan Family so far tonight, how is this man going to change your luck?”

Bobby Heenen: “Luck has nothing to do with it when you have The Great Muta in the ring. All over Asia, from China to Japan this man has been putting fear into the hearts of every opponent. As we all know the most honorable, most well trained and the best athletes come from the Land of the Rising Sun. This man The Great Muta, is the most dangerous, most devastating and the most unique wrestler I have ever managed. He can do things nobody in America has ever seen before. Hogan! You felt just a little bit of what this man can do when your eyes were burning a few weeks ago. You saw what this man can do on Wrestling Challenge! Right now you and your Hulkamanics may believe you can be the World Wrestling Federation Champion, but when that bell rings you will know that Hulkamania is dying, it’s over! You are all looking at the new World Wrestling Federation Champion!”

Sean Mooney: “Harsh words by The Brain. Right now here is Gene Okerlund with The Hulkster!”

Gene Okerlund: “Thank you Sean. The new WWF is only a month old, but it must have felt like a year for you Hulk Hogan, and in just a few moments you will have a chance to be our first WWF Champion”

Hulk Hogan: “Well you know something Mene Gene? The moment has come for the Hulkster to take the WWF Championship and send the WWF in the right direction. One based on honour, respect and integrity, something The Great Muta and Weasel Heenan know nothing about. Two warriors put everything on the line to capture the gold, and one comes out on top based on his own merits, not outside interference and burning someone’s eyes with mist. Talking about the poison mist, when you poisoned my eyes, burned me, you didn’t just spit in the face of Hulkamania brother you spat in the face of every WWF wrestler. Me and my Hulkamaniacs won’t stand for that brother, that’s why we are coming full force to keep the WWF Championship out of your hands and around my waist!

Gene Okerlund:
“Speaking of the Hulkamaniacs, Hulk Hogan, we have seen them here tonight and millions are watching intently all around the world”

Hulk Hogan: “That’s right! They are here and they are ready, but to any Hulkamanic that is having any doubts, just remember we have defeated Bobby Heenan before. We know all of his tricks. As for The Great Muta, well he already showed us the hand he is playing with but he better be prepared for the ace hiding up my sleeve. I have felt the Mist, I know what to expect. I am ready, the Hulkamanics are ready but the question is, what you gunna do Muta, when thousands of Hulkamanics and Hulk Hogan run wild all over you?”

Gene Okerlund: “Whoa! I can’t wait for this one, back you Jesse and Gorilla!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “The time is finally here Jesse; the WWF Championship will be decided”
Jesse Ventura: “You can see the last few hundred people rushing back from the concession stands, every seat in this arena is full and everyone is going to witness the end of Hulkamania and the beginning of dominance for the Heenan Family”
Gorilla Monsoon: “When are you going to learn? Every time Heenan has a member of his family try and become WWF Champion, you give us this speech and you are always wrong. What makes you think you are right this time?”
Jesse Ventura: “You make a fair point, Heenan even admitted he has brought some of the biggest and the best to take down Hogan, but always come short. This time however, I believe The Great Muta has all the tools to take Hogan down tonight”
Gorilla Monsoon: “The waiting is over, here is Howard Finkel”

Howard Finkel: “This is our Main Event for the evening! This bout is schedule for one fall and is for the vacant World Wrestling Federation Championship…”

Howard Finkel: “Introducing first, lead into the arena by Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, from Yamanishi, Japan, weighing 253 lbs…The Great Muta!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “Look at that smug look on the face of Weasel Heenan”
Jesse Ventura: “I’m going to let that Weasel comment slide for now Gorilla but more importantly I have never seen Bobby Heenan so confident before a WWF Championship match. I know you hate Heenan, but please be objective”
Gorilla Monsoon: “You should be the one worrying about objectivity tonight.”

Howard Finkel: “And his opponent from Venice Beach, California, weighing 303 lbs., ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan!”

Gorilla Monsoon: “It is deafening in this arena!”
Jesse Ventura: “I am not going to bother speaking over this Monsoon; I can’t even hear myself think”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Hopefully it stays that way”
Jesse Ventura: “What?”

Bobby Heenan leaps out of the ring as soon as Hogan enters and The Great Muta stands his ground as The Hulkster rips his shirt off and throws it into the face of The Great Muta.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Look at Heenan get out of their like the weasel he is”
Jesse Ventura: “Heenan is a manager not a wrestler Monsoon. The Great Muta hasn’t taken a backward step since Hogan hit the ring”

You could cut the tension with a knife in the arena as Muta takes off his hood and spits green mist into the air. Muta continues to disrobe and hands his attire over to Bobby Heenan as the official calls Muta and Hogan to the middle of the ring and he shows the combatants the World Wrestling Federation Championship Belt. The official instructs both men to go back into neutral corners and then rings the bell, and we are under way. Hogan and Muta cautiously approach the middle of the ring and engage in a collar and elbow tie up. They struggle for a few seconds and Hogan shoves Muta across the ring and he collides, back first into the turnbuckles. The crowd erupts as Hogan starts to pose showing off his impressive physique and calls for Muta to bring it! Muta responses by taking his thumb across his neck!

They lock-up once again and Muta uses his quickness to get behind Hogan and has to hop in the air to get a side head lock on Hogan. Hogan backs into the ropes and uses them to force Muta to release the hold by launching him across the ring. Hogan braces and puts Muta down with a stiff shoulder tackle. Hogan goes to drop an elbow, but Muta rolls out of the way. Hogan gets to his feet, but Muta goes right back to a side headlock. Hogan tries to use the ropes again, but Muta is able to hold on to the headlock. Hogan decides to lift Muta in the air and drops him on his back with a back suplex.

Both men get to their feet and lock up immediately, and Hogan pushes Muta away but this time in the direction of the ropes. Muta bounces off and baseball slides through Hogan’s legs. Hogan turns around, The Great Muta pops up to his feet and drop kicks Hogan. The drop kick sends Hogan backwards but he keeps his feet.

Gorilla Monsoon: “This is a classic battle of speed and quickness against size and strength”
Jesse Ventura: “The longer this match goes, the better it is for The Great Muta”

The Great Muta and Hulk Hogan lock up against, and Hogans grabs a hold of Muta’s right wrist and has a tight standing wrist lock. The Hulkster steps over Muta’s arm with his right leg and uses a rolling arm bar to take Muta over onto his back. Muta immediately rolls his body towards Hogan to relieve the pressure. The Great Muta resorts to hooking his legs around the bottom rope and the official forces the break. The Great Muta rolls to the outside and consults with Bobby Heenan.

Gorilla Monsoon: “The last thing those two expected was The Hulkster to pull off a move like that.”
Jesse Ventura: “I have never seen scum Hogan, uses that move or any move like that in my entire wrestling career”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Hogan has clearly done an effective job of putting Muta and Heenan off of their gameplan”
Jesse Ventura: “That appears to be true, but it won’t take Heenan long to get Muta back on track”

The Great Muta climbs to the apron and flips into the ring over the top rope, landing on his feet. They lock up again and Hogan while still tied up manoeuvres Muta into the corner and throws a knee into the midsection. The Hulkster Irish whips Muta across the ring and follows in with a clothesline forcing Muta’s feet to lift off of the mat. Muta falls to his knees holding his chest and Hogan helps him to his feet and once against Irish whips Muta across the ring and as Muta returns, Hogan hits a high knee to the chin of Muta sending him to the mat. Hogan covers Muta but Muta kicks out right on the count of two. Bobby Heenan climbs to the apron distracting the official and Hogan. As soon as Hogan gets close, Heenan drops down to the mat as the Great Muta gets to his feet.
Hogan approaches and receives an elbow to the midsection, and then a side kick to the ribs. Muta leans against the ropes to get some momentum and drop kicks Hogan in his left knee. Hogan then drops to the mat, clutching his left knee as Heenan is heard yelling in pain,

Bobby Heenan: “Good! Take out his legs!”

The Great Muta grabs Hogan by the left ankle and elbow drops the inside of the knee then follows up with two more. Muta gets to his feet, scans the crowd and drops to one knee outstretching his arms as the fans boo and Muta responds by giving the crowd ‘The Italian Salute.’ Hogan has used the ropes to get to his feet and Muta puts his head under Hogan’s arm, grabs Hogan’s leg by the ankle, pulling it backwards. Muta then lifts Hogan in the air and drops his knee across Muta’s thigh resulting in Hogan collapsing to the mat in pain. The Great Muta pins Hogan and the official counts…1…2 but Hogan gets a shoulder up. The Great Muta bounces off of the ropes and hits his signature crazy elbow drop to the shoulder/chest region of Hulk Hogan. Hogan is clearly hurting, but still trying to get to his feet. The Great Muta helps Hogan to his feet in the corner by his hair. Muta punches Hogan twice and chops Hogan across the throat. Hogan holds his throat and starts coughing as he walks out of the corner towards the next set of turnbuckles. Muta is now across from Hogan and charges at Hogan attempting a handspring back elbow smash, but Hogan just moves out of the way in time. The Great Muta drop to his knees clutching his back as Hogan is still too hurt to capitalize immediately. Muta recovers quickly and makes his way towards Hogan, who tries to kick Muta in the midsection, but the leg is caught. Hogan is using the ropes to maintain balance so Muta while holding Hogan’s leg bring him towards the middle of the ring. Hogan is able to counter with an enziguri kick to the back of Muta’s head!

[img]http://gifsoup.com/MjM5Mjc4OA[/img

Muta hits the mat clutching his head, kicking the mat in pain and Hogan is also on the mat clutching his knee in pain. The official begins a count of 10. 1…2…3…4, and both men are still down…5…6, both men start to show some life as they use the ropes to get to their feet…7…8…9, both men beat the count, but Hogan’s knee gives way and he falls to the mat. As the official checks on Hogan, Bobby Heenan points to his wrist and yells out to Muta,

Bobby Heenan: “Use it, take his air away!”

Heenan gets the officials attention by climbing the apron again as Muta takes off some of his wrist tape and uses it to choke Hogan.

Gorilla Monsoon: “Can somebody get that weasel away from the ring? The entire match he has been nothing but a nuisance!”
Jesse Ventura: “The WWF Championship is on the line Monsoon! You do whatever you can to get that gold around your waist.”

The Great Muta pretends to apply a headlock while still choking Hogan with the tape. Now Heenan has returned to the floor and the official is free to referee the match but Muta is still choking Hogan. The referee asking Hogan if he gives up with no answer, so the official raises Hogan’s hand once and it drops. Hogan’s arm is raised again but it drops! The referee raises it again and the hand drops, but stop half way. Hogan makes a fist and his hand starts to shake and he starts getting to his feet. Hogan gets to his feet with Muta still grasping headlock but he lets go and sprint to the ropes and goes to attack, but Hogan goes for the big boot but it is caught by Muta who immediately takes Hogan down with a Dragonscrew Leg Whip! The tape from earlier is on the mat and Heenan is quick to snatch it before the official sees it. The Great Muta drags Hulk Hogan into the middle of the ring and locks in The Muta Lock (Inverted STF), and Hogan is in serious trouble.

Jesse Ventura: “It is over now Gorilla, Hulkamania will be no more. That knee is damaged, and I think Hogan is finish mentally.”
Gorilla Monsoon: “An old saying comes to mind whenever I see The Hulkster in trouble. It isn’t over, until it is over”
Jesse Ventura: “Well it is over now. The fat lady is getting ready to start singing Gorilla!”

The Great Muta has a tight cross face on Hogan and starts smashing him across the face with forearms shots. Muta has the cross face right across the mouth of Hogan in an attempt to make it harder to breath. The referee starts to ask if Hogan quits and he shakes his head side to side. The Great Muta let’s go, holds Hogan’s leg to the mat, launches his feet up into the air and brings down a vicious knee to the back of Hogan’s leg and does it again, finally returning straight back to the Muta Lock submission. The Hulkster starts reaching out of the ropes and slowly tries to drag himself towards the ropes. The crowd is really starting to get behind Hogan now as they start chanting his name. Hogan seems to be gaining more strength as he finally gets to the bottom rope and Muta is forced to release the hold. Muta drags Hogan to the middle of the ring and kicks Hogan in the face a few times. The Great Muta climbs to the top turnbuckle from inside the ring and remains facing the outside of the ring. Muta signals for the end and launches for a Moonsault...and The Great Muta hits it perfectly. Muta hooks Hogan’s leg and the official makes the count, 1…2…KICKOUT! Hogan has kicked out and he is starting to hulk up!

Jesse Ventura: “Oh No! Oh No! It can’t be! Do something Muta! Do something Heenan! I will go down there and do something if I have to!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “You are staying right here pal. I won’t let you go and ruin this match”

The fans have lost it and are going crazy as Hogan is shaking his head as Muta tries to stop Hogan with forearm shots to the back. Hogan is at his feet and Muta punches him in the face but Hogan is unaffected. The Great Muta spits the Red Mist at Hogan’s face, but The Hulkster ducked! Hogan punches Muta 3 times and then Irish whips Muta across the ring and hits the big boot perfectly on the chin. Hogan launches off of the ropes and hits the Atomic Leg Drop but Heenan is back on the apron. Hogan is about the hook the leg for the pinfall, but with the official distracted spits the Black Mist into the eyes of Hogan! The Black Mist has blinded Hogan, who is now on his knees trying to find where he is. Muta is up to his feet as Heenan jumps down to the mat and Hogan still cannot see. The Great Muta sees Hogan and attacks with the Shinning Wizard to the head of Hogan. The Great Muta makes the pin, cancelling Hogan’s face from the official who counts, 1…2…3!

Jesse Ventura: “It’s over! It is over! The Great Muta is the new World Wrestling Federation Champion! Hulkamania is dead!”

Jesse Ventura: “You can cry later Monsoon. Let’s get the official word. On a side note, this is the first time I want to hear Finkel speak!”

Howard Finkel: “The winner of this bout and NEW World Wrestling Federation Champion, The Great Muta!”

Gorilla Monsoon:
“Look at this, Heenan just snatched the belt from the referee!”
Jesse Ventura: “The Brain is just excited Monsoon, he wants to put the belt around The Great Muta’s waist himself”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Muta is lucky Heenan didn’t skip town with the belt as soon as the referees hand counted three.”
Jesse Ventura: “Just stop! Stop ruining this great moment in wrestling history. Hulkamania is dead!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “Hulkamania is far from dead Jesse”
Jesse Ventura: “You are right; Hogan is just blind with all those EMT right now, hahaha!”
Gorilla Monsoon: “You are disgusting and so are those two in the ring right now. Fans, that is all for WWF Summerslam. See you all in November for WWF Survivor Series!”
