Super Luchas reports that Mexican wrestling legend Mil Mascaras will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year in Miami, Florida during WrestleMania 28 weekend.
As noted before, Mascaras is scheduled to be at tonight's SmackDown tapings in Mexico City. He is the uncle of WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio.

^^^He did make some appearances under Vince Sr. in the W.W.W.F. along with participating in the Royal Rumble back in 1997. Don't ever remember him working with WCW but he did also appear in some NWA territories like World Class.
If Mil Masacaras gets inducted ... I'm anticipating Carlos Colon goes in also. You see -- there's got to be a reason for this Sin Cara Azul vs Sin Cara Negro feud.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions about a working relationship with other mexican promotions just because Mascaras is going in. WWE has the relationship with Mascaras through Del Rio like WWE had it with Sabu & The Sheik (though his widow) years ago so they would want to get him in ASAP.
There was talk that WWE will announce a name for the 2012 Hall of Fame class at tonight's RAW Supershow from Baton Rouge. Tickets are going on sale soon and WWE is looking to announce a big draw to boost sales. Mexican legend Mil Mascaras was previously announced.
I don't think Edge should've been inducted this year.. Sure his career was cut short due to injury in 2011, but there is so much time left for him to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. And yes, while I do think Macho Man should be inducted due to his passing last year, I feel the #1 choice to be inducted this year is The Rock. It is in his hometown of Miami and as big of a star as Edge is, he never had the same drawing power as The Rock does.

They're not going to put in The Rock a day before he has a match, wouldn't make sense.
Real happy Edge is going in, surprised it's this year, thought they'd wait and do it in Toronto, but maybe this means it won't be in Toronto next year. As for him being the first inductee and not Macho Man, I'm not really bothered by it, it's always been like that, with more recent guys who the current fanbase as more familiar with being the main inductee along with the other legends.
Fuck Rock. I could careless for anyone who just leaves wrestling. Then comes back for a few dates...then leaves again. Fuck that douchebag.
Macho Man and Double A should be in the HOF way before anyone else.
Well it seems like you've forgotten about The Rock's entire career prior to his departure in 2003/2004. The man left a legacy and paved the way for the WWE superstars of today. Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock were the two biggest draws during the Attitude Era.
I don't understand why there are such bitter fans about The Rock returning. He doesn't have to do this. He's filming movies after movies. I'm sure he's fine financially. He's doing this for the fans. I for one enjoy each and every time The Rock is on WWE television.
