Default Legacy City Chronicles [OOC & Sign-Up Thread]

    Introduction:
Welcome to Legacy City, a thriving metropolis that was one time policed by Super-Heroes and billed as "The City Of Tomorrow". However, as The Legacy City Police force became privatized and bought out by a corrupt crime lord, the "heroes" were outlawed. The ones did not submit were hunted and killed and the once prosperous city has since fallen into decay, eroded by corruption. Now, 30 years since Legacy City's Golden Age of Heroes has died out, a new crop of heroes must rise to save the city from a powerful new enemy.

    Concept:
[COLOR="paleturquoise"][B]Create a hero or villain. He or she can be a street level vigilante like The Punisher or Batman or they could be a World Level powerhouse like Superman or the Hulk. They can be maniacal madmen like the Joker or Lex Luthor or they can be all powerful menaces like Magneto or Dr. Doom. They can even be non-powered civillans caught in the middle of everything.

This RPG is formated like a TV show, with a new episode beginning every two weeks. The Game masters for this RPG are[B]Johnny Drama, and Eyensane Every two weeks, one of us will announce the start off a new episode and give an episode a name. This is an ongoing series and the events from one episode can carry over to another, so no need to wrap things up quickly withing one two week period, keep your story spanning multiple episodes if need be.

    Just a few rules:

    • No "Bunnying" (controlling another persons character) unless you have permission from that user.
    • Don't kill off other characters. Any NPC's and supporting characters can be killed, but do not decide the fate of someone else's characters.
    • Use your imagination. If you want to create a character similar to Batman, that is fine, but he can't actually be Batman. No per-existing characters here, this is our own world and heroes like Superman or Spider-Man are considered fictional characters in the Legacy City Universe.. You can use other heroes as your base pics, but try to incorporate some originality
    • You are allowed 2 playable characters. However, you can have as many supporting characters and can use them separately from your main characters as long as your you are role playing in the name of your main characters continuity while using supporting characters. If a Game Master sees fit, you will be allowed a 3rd playable character granted you have proven you can handle 2.
    • You can use your imagination and create a hero or villain of your choosing but you can not create unstoppable uber-deities. No character should be a complete 10 all across the board. God characters CAN be approved for the sake of storyline but must be approved by a game master before the application is submitted.
    • Keep your powers believable, giving your character a brand new power every week will not be accepted, and in keeping up with a sense of realism, mind the environment. Walk, fly, or use a vehicle to get around. There will be no random popping up everywhere, unless of course you are a teleporter.
    • Interact with other posters. That's the fun of it all, creating something together, everyone collaborating to tell one big story in the end.
    • No flaming or overly negative criticism. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but be kind. These aren't e-fed promos, we are not competing against each other so no need for a pissing contest where we are all trying to out do each other.
    • Violation of the rules will result in post being deleted/edited by a Game Master, and repeat offenders will be booted from the game and not allowed to reapply.

    The White Knight

Character you have created: Jack Barret

    Alias: The White Knight

Speech Color: White (name/title) and Gold (text)

    Character Alignment: Hero

    Identity: Secret

Character Personality: With the ability to use 100% of his brain as opposed to just 20%, Jack is very analytical, slightly neurotic and very introverted. Jack is a man of strong convictions with a very clear sense of right and wrong, though his depression causes him to drink and the real Jack Barret often takes a back seat to the drunken mess Jack can become on occasion. But once Jack dons his white armor Power suit, he stops becoming jack Barret at all and becomes The White Knight, Legacy City's defender in a time when heroes like him are outlawed. The White Knight is a silent force in the night, hunting criminals and struggling with his own demons inside that armored shell.

Uniform/costume: Silver and White cybernetic Power Suit.

    Origin Info/Details:

In the early 80's, A hero known as The White Knight led the Demigods, a team of super powered heroes that protected Legacy. When the LCPD (Legacy Police Department) became privatized due to corruption, crime lord Drake Cambino purchased the police force and only drove it further intro the ground when he outlawed super heroes in Legacy City. The Demigods were all captured and killed, all of them except for The White Knight, who publicly retired before diapering forever.
The original White Knight was a man known as Edwin Fisk, a man who is now residing in Legacy City Retirement Community. This is NOT his story. This is the beginning of a new dawn in Legacy City.

Jack Barret is what's classified as a "Meta-human", a normal human born with a genetic mutation. In Jacks case, he was born with the ability to use 100% of his brain as opposed to just the standard 20% Human beings are accustomed to. By the age of 13, Jack was the worlds most notorious computer hacker going by the name "White Knight" as a tribute to his favorite Super Hero, The leader of The Demigods The White Knight ( Edwin Fisk). By 15, Barret was caught, on purpose, as he was bored with the constant cat and mouse game with the FBI. By 18, he was working FOR the Government catching other hackers, and then by 21 he was graduated early from Treymore University with a degree in Advanced Technologies. It was then he was given a Government funded business loan and he started BarretTech Industries, where Jack made a multi-billion dollar empire off of his super-genius by being the number one distributer of military grade weapons and technology on the entire planet.
In just 7 years, Jack has turned a new company into THE leading export in state of the art tech, whether it's flat screen TV's, Microwaves, Laptops, Military Weapons or even prototype Mech suits and Cyborg soldiers used by the Army, Jack has his hand in it all.

With all the money and all the fame, Jack had it all. Then, his pregnant wife was killed by an unknown assailant just 2 nights before their wedding. That was just 2 months ago. Jack has fallen deep into a depression as police have failed to capture his finance's killer and Jack. One night, when going through his old photo albums, he nearly has a breakdown looking at his wife's pictures. Suddenly, he finds a picture from his Childhood from when he met his hero, The White Night.
Jack gets an idea and after researching the original White Knight, the super genius goes and makes major modification to a military power-suit prototype he has been working on. The all white armored suit likes nothing like The original White Knight, but Jack uses his name as a symbol for what the original White Night stood for. In a world that needs Heroes, the legend of The White Knight is born again as a man who has had his livelihood stolen hopes to extract some justice, and maybe a little revenge.

    Hero Type: Super-Genius/Techno-Artillery

    Power Level : World Level

Powers (Be Specific): With the ability to use 100% of his brain, he is probably the most intelligent man on the planet. He can instantly adapt to any opponents fighting style and basically learn how to do anything, whether it's learning a new language or adopting a new form of martial arts, just by a few minutes of observation. It's almost as if his brain downloads information. As The White Knight, the special armor suit provides Barret with advanced strength, the power of flight, projectile lazers and limited invulnerability.

    Attributes

Strength Level: 7 (in full armor)

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 7 (in full armor)

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 8 (in full armor with a fully charged battery)

    Agility: 7 (in full amour)

Intelligence 10 (his only notable attribute outside the Power suit)

    Fighting Skill: Trained

    Resources: Extreme

    Weaknesses: Himself, Alcoholism

    Supporting Characters

Edwin Fisk (mentor and the original White Knight back in the 70's and 80's)

Julia Barret (Jacks deceased wife, often speaks to Jack in flashbacks and dreams)

Trent Howard (one of Jacks trusted employees and closest friends)

    Mercedes McNaire (Jacks trusted secretary)

C.H.I.P (Cybernetic Humanoid Intellegence Prototype, Jacks cyborg aid that communicates with Jack via the internal speakers of the White Knights helment and the suits advanced computing system. CHIP is like GPS, only much much smarter and self aware. He is also the only one who knows that Jack Barret is the White Knight)

Detective Joe Barone (A detective hell bent on catching The White Knight)

The Shadowy Figure ( long haired, white skinned man Jack sees in his hallucinations, dreams and flashbacks, usually while mentally revisiting his finance's murder)

Please post a picture of what your character resembles (Dual identity characters post a pic of your hero/villain and his alter ego as well)

    Jack Barret

    The White Knight

    Sample Post:

Jack Barret stands in his office atop the BarretTech building in down town Legacy City. He is looking out his window overlooking all of Legacy. The rain pouring down on the busey city as the citezens below buzz to and from underneath their umbrellas trying to keep dry.
He takes a sip of his Gin and Tonic as he observes the scenery. Grey clouds cover the sky and drown out the sun. A crack of thunder is heard and rain begins to fall from the sky.
Jack lights a cigar and exhales the smoke from his nose, lost in thought. He sees his reflection in the glass window. He studies his face for a bit, almost as if he is trying to see through himself. Then, a shadowy figure appears behind him. His hair is long and black, his skin is cocaine white.

"And people think I am a monster. For shame, Jack. For Shame." The shadowy figure says.

Jack turns around quickly but there is no one behind him. Perhaps it was a figment of his imagination, maybe it was the alcohol. Jack takes a moment to collect himself before heading to his desk where he takes a seat and props his feet off. His secretary, Mercedes, enters the room.

Mercedes: Mr. Barret, I'm sorry to disturb you but Mr. Howard is here, he says it's important...

Jack: Must be for him to be here this late. Send him in, Mercedes

Trent Howard, head of the Distribution department, comes in with a stern look on his face.

Trent: I have to say, Barret, I still don't understand why you decided to move our headquarters from New York to Legacy but all I know is that it rains too damn much here, old friend..

Trent nods his head with a smile as he takes a seat.

Jack: I grew up here, Trent. Well, near here, in New Hampshire. I've always loved this place and the economy is booming around here.

Trent: Sentimental AND practical. Glad to see things never change, heh. Ugh...look Jack. There is something going on, and I'm not sure what to make of it. There was about $750,000 worth of BarretTech inventory that went missing during a shipment to the Army. The stuff that went missing was all highly advanced weapons and tech. All of it, just gone. We have no idea how this could have happened. We did a full audit of everything going out, had no reported problems on the delivery and came up several items short on the return" Trent says.

Jack:This is unfortunate, Trent. Very unfortunate. You understand that if this gets out to the press, then you have completely screwed the pooch here. Jobs might be lost...

Jack shakes his head as he exhales his cigar smoke before pouring himself another drink, this time a bit of brandy, before sharing an awkward bit of silence with Trent.

Trent: I'll see to it that it doesn't come to that, Jack. What do we do now?

Jack: All we can do is watch and see how this plays out. Should get pretty interesting when we find out where that Tech lands...

    -

Later on that night, Rain continues to fall relentlessly down upon the moonlit streets of Legacy City. Smoke billows from the sewers as steam rises from streets. It's a cold wet night and the mood is just as dark as the sky above.
The White Knight stands on top of The BarretTech building overlooking the entire city, lost in thought.

"It's not stealing if the property belongs to me in the first place" The White Knight thinks to himself before accelerating into the air and taking slight across the night sky. His glowing yellow eyes look like shooting stars across the clouds.
Tonight, Jack Barret watches over Legacy City, protecting those who need it, for he is a silent guardian. A White Knight.

Character you have created: Marcus Serita
Alias: Veritas, Black Skull, He Who Walks With Death

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Black when normally speaking, Light Blue when casting spells or speaking incantations.

Character Alignment: Hero/Villain/Walking the Line: Villain

    Identity: Secret

Character Personality: Constantly seeking the full extent of the gray between life and death, Veritas is a person who would dissect a man alive if it brought him closer to the answers he seeks. There is nothing sacred to him save his own children, and even that is becoming twisted with time. He knows his lack of physical capacity, and often makes plans bypassing that weakness. He won't pass up a chance at a new research opportunity, but he is smart enough to realize when he is going to walk into a trap and avoid it.

Uniform/costume: A man often wearing a black hooded sweater over a black leather trench coat. His eyes are often glowing a faintly ice blue beneath the hood, which is almost never lowered except in extreme circumstances. He wears dark blue jeans with a pair of black shoes. His face is average. His long hair white, from experiments gone wrong, tied back in a ponytail. His eyes are actually green, but one can often see a smoky haze of blue shifting within them if they look close.

Origin Info/Details: Born outside Legacy, Marcus moved here when he was 9. He grew up as the class nerd who always was playing D&D in the basement. He eventually went to Legacy college where he met his wife, Lisa. She was a wiccan, and often found his practices into understanding the occult cute. They got married, and had 2 kids, Jordan and Willow. Lisa was soon after killed by religious extremists, and his children were kidnapped. He eventually got the children back after a series of events, and vowed he would do whatever it took to ensure their safety. Tragedy struck not even a year later. During a Super fight, a building was crashed into, and his children were crushed under the debris. He wept for a week, refusing to eat or sleep. Eventually he became obsessed with finding a way to bring them back. He started searching for the famed Necronomican, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, and other various books catalouging and examining the pathways of the afterlife. He eventually found one of the books, though which is still a mystery to all but Marcus himself. After reading its passages, he became fully aware of the world of the Arcane. Unfortunately his mind was also warped by so much knowledge, a curse laid within the passages of the book to prevent casual reading. While still seeking the means to ressurect his children, he now has very few, if any, morals concerning the how. Traveling the world for several years, he has returned to Legacy, to exact both revenge, and to complete his quest in the very city of his children's and wife's death.

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

The sounds of screams can be heard echoing off the metal walls of the cargo container. The walls have ice forming on them as a man comes into view standing over a surgery table. In his hands, a faint blue flame surrounds his finger tips as he moves them over a convulsing body to which the screams elicit from. His eyes give off tendrils of thin blue smoke as he works, no other features visible from under the hood of his sweater. The energy in his fingers dies down slowly, as do the screams, as the man seems to have completed his task. Turning away from the body he walks over to another table, wherein he takes up a scalpel and cuts the palm of his hand. The blood seeps out of the new wound, to which he returns to the body and uses his finger to trace archaic symbols upon the body. After finishing, his hands once more alight with the eerie blue flame. He passes them over a large symbol above the stomach, before the body lurched upward, the flame from his hand entering the body. The man then takes his hand away, taking away the blue flame, along with a translucent humanoid figure. After placing it before him in the upright position, he takes his hand away and begins speaking in a low, amused tone.

"Hello, Mr. Calhoun. It would seem that you stumbled upon my workings. I rather dislike trespassers, though they do often make for quick test subjects on short notice," the man states as he walks away from the body, not even paying attention to it, "It would seem that you are the son of a rather violent gang leader, who would be anxious to know where you are. Your body, which you see before you on the table, will be found in the basement of one of my rivals' homes. I rather dislike the fellow, and his constant meddling in my affairs has been nothing short of tiresome."

He walks to another corner of the cargo container, before grabbing a small needle and going to stand over the corpse once more. He slowly begins etching, over the eye, a sigil before stepping back and covering one of his own eyes.

"Calhoun," he states, as the vision of his covered eye switches to that of Mr. Calhoun's vision, "Ah that will do nicely. I suspect there will be an investigation of sorts, and I am rather interested in seeing the findings from a mundane research perspective." He takes his hand from his eye, and now turns to the standing ghost who has yet to move from his position. "You, my servant, will guard this container for me until further notice. I do so despise losing labs. Especially after your father managed to destroy my previous labratory. I hope that this will deliver the message that I am not to be trifled with quite clearly. If not, I may have to have you visit your brother in the flesh."

He pauses to think for a moment, before smiling wickedly in the general direction of the body. He then looks back to the spirit, before chuckling evilly.

"I do happen to enjoy family reunions, and I would be remiss to not help one in search of family. I think I'll leave a little surprise for you brother," he states as he begins muttering a few dark words over the body.

Later that Week, on a Newscast

"Good Evening. Our top story this evening, a gang leader is found dead, strangled to death, in the morgue of the Police Department's coroner. The body of his brother, which he was to identify, has gone missing. It is believed to have been stolen. It appears to be rival gang hit here in Legacy. There are no suspects at this time."

Carlo: Drake! You know I am! Please trust me!

Then, Detective Joseph Barone walks through the large steel door behind them, smiling. Carlo turns as white as a ghost and his eyes widen.

Detective Barone: Hello Carlo. Nice to see you again.

Drake: You see Carlo, I have eyes everywhere. EVERYONE is in my pocket. It's too bad you had to lie to me, you little shit...

Then, Vinny and Andre both kick out the chair from under his legs and begin to beat the lliving daylights out of him.

Drake: I am a fair man, Carlo.

Vinny kicks Carlo in the gut, Andre stomps him in the face 3 times, breaking his jaw on the 2nd stomp.

Drake: So fair, that after my boys are done with you, we aren't going to kill your whore wife. In fact, Andre has already saw to it that he pays her visit, make sure she is holding up well.

Andre kicks Carlo in the testicles as Vinny pulls out his gun and hands it to Drake. Drake kneels doen and puts his gun in Carlo's mouth.

Drake: I bet you thought you would make the papers, be a big hero. "Small time crook uncovers huge conspiracy. Mayor involved". Heh. Well you ewere right about one thing, carlo. You will make the papers.

A moment of silnce. A silent whimper escaping the mouth of a broken and bloodied Carlo.

    POW!!!

Carlo's brain matter paints the wall behind him as his now faceless carcass falls forward and hits the ground with a loud thud.

    ???: Fantastic!

Drake, Barone, Vinny and Andre all turn around to see Mayor John Fonsworth entering the room clapping his hands.

The Mayor: A little theatrical for my taste, but I would never ask a tiger to change his stripes. It's your thing, Cambino, I get that.

Drake: What do you want, Fonsworth? I'm cleaning your mess here, you prick....

The Mayor: And I thank you for that. And in return, I am now cleaning YOUR mess.

    Drake: MY mess?

The Mayor: I believe so. The name "White Knight" mean anything to you?.

Drake raises an eyebrow in disbelief after hearing a name he hadn't heard in years. An enemy he thought long gone. But as it seems, the past is never too far behind you.

    THE CARAMEL WARRIORESS

    Character you have created:
    Gabrielle Ignito

Alias: The Caramel Warrioress, The Caramel Light

Speech Color: Purple name/title and Caramel text

    Character Alignment: Hero

    Identity: Secret.

Character Personality: Gabrielle is a woman who once shied from her powers, having discovered them by accident on a day she prefers to not talk about. But as she grew older she saw more and more the evils in society and felt responsible to help the downtrodden and less fortunate. She’s a kind person, sweet, caring, always willing to help others out though there are those who suggest she does so to forget her past and replace it with good memories.

Uniform/costume: The shortiest purple shorts, a purple corset, a tiara and knee high black boots.

Origin Info/Details: Little is known of her early life, by both Gabrielle’s doing and the fact that some of it is secret to even herself. She was raised by loving parents to whom there has always been whispers of Gabrielle being adopted by, though it’s never been confirmed. From an early age she showed great balance which presented itself in her dancing skills and the speed with which she took to riding motorcycles which are her preferred mode of transport. The explanation for this skill eventually revealed itself and from there Gabrielle found herself eventually moonlighting as a vigilante. Something she found great joy in and after a looking up at the superheroes of the world that she had idolized all her life, she finally stopped denying the power she had and in Legacy City she found a city desperate for as many heroes as it can get.

    Type: Acrobat.

    Power Level: World Level.

Powers: Her flexibility is best described as elastic, she’s able to twist and contort her body, altering her height and even general shape to suit the situation/villain. She has amazing grip and balance, able to stand and swing off the smallest of ledges and foot/hand holds.

    Attributes:
    Strength Level:
    4

    Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 8

    Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 9

    Agility: 10

    Intelligence: 7

    Fighting Skill: Mastered

    Resources: Average

Weaknesses: That secret of how she discovered her powers, if its brought up or someone hints they know what happened she’s prone to breaking down mentally.
Her family and friends, she fears that her desire to help people may see them hurt.

Supporting Characters: Her girlfriend, simply known as Jenny.

Her parents; Alastair and Maryse Ignito, recently moved to Legacy City.

Her childhood friend Denise who moved to Legacy City long ago.

Please post a picture of what your character resembles:

    Sample Post:

The roar of a black Triumph Daytona ceases as its rider dismounts and removes her white helmet, an action that reveals her long flowing brunette hair while the rest of her body is clad in the black leather of her riding gear. She could almost pass by unnoticed as is her wish but for her stunning looks which capture attention as she steps inside a café. Her eyes meeting those of the happy families and the unsavory characters they’re forced to share a room with.

    Denise:
Gabby you made it, you know I wasn’t quite sure if you were going to move her.

    Gabrielle: A promise is a promise…besides I feel I can do a lot here.

    Denise: A fresh start?

Gabrielle: I hope so Denise…I needed to get away from that and do something more with my life.

Denise: By coming here of all places? Look I may have talked Legacy City up a bit, it can be nice but there’s a lot of bad people here.

    Gabrielle: I know Denise…that’s what I’m after.

    Denise: What?

Before Denise can press her friend any further there’s a commotion outside one that causes Gabrielle to cast a single glance before she sighs and gets to her feet. Stepping away from her table to do her duty, to do what’s right, what it would appear is her destiny.

Character you have created: Colonel Johnathan Cross, Director of The Sleeping Forest Initiative

    Alias: None

Speech Color: Name in White, Text in Cornflower Blue

    Character Alignment: Walking the Line.

    Identity: Government Protected

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Johnathan likes to take time and plan out stragety and tactics. He will try to be three moves ahead of his opponents if he can be.

    Uniform/costume: The Sleeping Forest Uniform

Origin Info/Details: Johnathan is a military man, born into a military family. He was the youngest person that ever qualified for S.E.A.L. training and Special Forces training, earning distinction with The Navy Seals and Green Berets. Because of his superior tactical mind and olympic level ability, the United States Government selected him for a special government program to enhance human abilities known as "The Sleeping Forest Initiative". Through genetically engineered injections, Johnathan was enhanced to the point of superhuman. Now, he oversees the Sleeping Forest Inititave, working with autonomy within the United States Government...using the genetically enhanced 'superior soldiers' to keep tabs on all known superheros and villians...lest they get out of line. Or...is that all the Government requires of him?

Hero Type (Select one): Super Genius/Techno-Artilery

Power Level (Select one below): World

Powers (Be Specific): Johnathan has the ablility that he calls, "Bio Organic Tactics". His photograpic memory is full of maps, coordinates and shortcuts of everywhere he's ever been, as well as dossiers of all heros and villians he's encountered. He has automatic strategic and tacitcal knowledge of any location he is in up to fifty miles. He can also cause a Fog of War on a battlefield, which only he and his agents of the Sleeping Forest Initiative can see through. He can scan the schematics of structures, buildings and even human and alien anatomy with just a touch of his hands. Finally, he has olympic level training in Judo, JuJitsu and S.E.A.L and Marine Special Forces Training as well as Green Beret battlefield fighting techniques.

Attributes (Select one at each category):

    Strength Level: 8

    Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 8

    Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 8

    Agility: 8

    Intelligence: 9

    Fighting Skill: Mastered

Resources: Extreme (Backed by the United States Government)

Weaknesses: For all of his backing and special enhanced abilities....Johnathan is still human and can be killed like any normal human.

    Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?): "The Sleeping Forest Inititatve". Johnathan has the command of United States Government agents divided into a couple different divisions within the 'Sleeping Forest' ;

-A.) The Scarlet Shadow: The counterterrorisim branch of the Sleeping Forest. When supervillians OR superheros get way out of line, overstep their boundries and threaten the country as a whole or United State interests abroad, it is this branch that is called in to shut them down...by any means at their disposal.

-B.) The Eyes of Fate: This is the controversial arm of the Sleeping Forest. They are the watchers on the wall. They keep an eye all and everything going on in major cities that have Hero and Villian activities. They keep to themselves mostly, but report back to Johnathan regularly...and call in the Scarlet Shadow if need be.

    Sample Post:

    {The wind was cold and rain came down in sheets...but it didn't deter the men from their training. Rope climbing, crawling through the mud, jumping jacks and survival training. They only train the best here at Fort DeWinter, in the mountains of Cold Creek, Colorado. A man stands amidst the Army brass, looking over a couple of files, sheilded from the rain by a large, black golf umbrella. He sighs as he flips through the damp paper...}

Man: This is your best and brightest, General? I have no doubt that they will make fine rank and file G.I.'s but....we are looking for the exceptional. The Sleeping Forest is not one to suffer mediocrity.

General: Of course not, Mr. Cro....

Johnathan: It is Colonel Cross, if you please.

General: Excuse me....Colonel. I have one individual that might be of interest to you. He has....this unusual ability.

    Johnathan: I'm interested. Show me.

    {The General and Johnathan visit a young man who has remarkable promise....and the ability to change his skin into living, organic metal. After testing the limits of his abilities, the General and Johnathan speak again...}

General: See, what did I tell you? Now...it may seem cruel...keeping him in such a secluded area, but I assure you...

Johnathan: General, the only thing you've 'shown' me is that you have no idea how to handle military assets. It's obvious that the boy's strength doubles if not triples exponentially when he changes. Do you really think that keeping those flimsy chains on him was going to hold him? Now, before you answer that, answer me this. How exactly did you plan on installing a sense of patriotisim and pride in himself and his country by treating him like a caged animal? Your mishandling of this boy's situation is mismanagement that the United States Government CANNOT overlook.

    General: Sir, I...

Johnathan: That will be all, General. Next time you have something....as you say...'of interest'...you don't call anyone else BUT me, is that understood?

    General: Yes sir.

    {The General walks off, defeated. Johnathan takes out a cell phone and makes a phone call...}

Johnathan: Hi....yeah, it's me......Yes, sir. Yes, Fort DeWinter....Cold Creek Colorado. Speak to the General about a man named Piotr.......No, the General won't be a problem. I've scared him enough that he knows to send people of interest our way from now on, sir. We shouldn't have to come out here again.......Understood. My next assignment, sir?..............Yes, I've heard of Leagacy City.......Very well, we will set up the Sleeping Forest there within the week. Over and out.....

A very well written post by PK. I can already tell Black Skull/Veritas is going to be a classic villain ripe with plenty of "WTF" moments.

Character you have created: James K. Hughes

Alias: TBD.. Just not sure at the moment

    Speech Color Sienna

    Character Alignment: Walking the Line

    Identity: Secret

Character Personality: As an avid chess player, James is a thinker. He could best be described as a good hearted man, who does not always do the most kind hearted things. As a thinker, he tends to be logical in most of his actions and decision making, however in some cases, when really provoked, he can be very reactive, and has a mean spirited temper known only by a very select few. He generally believes in doing the “right thing”, although it tends to be the right thing for that particular situation. He has been described as being patient, sarcastic, spontaneous, and adventurous, and his peers all seem to agree, that he is highly intelligent.

Uniform/costume: In his normal apperance, his attire will range from casual, to formal.

    As his alter ego:

    Origin Info/Details:
Coming from a family full of military and a few politicians, James found himself right at home in Legacy City. Although he moved around quite a bit in his younger years, he seemed to always return. Spending from his late teens on back home in Legacy. He along with a select few of his closest friends started a crew, as it was called initially. Being a respected and in general, likable person, most associates of James wanted to be his friend. Though he has always remained a very private person by nature, some have gotten close, some closer than others. As law and order, became more of a catch phrase than the rule of thumb in Legacy. It did not take James long at all to realize that while he and his friends were able to make money hustling, so much more could be made if they would simply work together, despite there individual egos. James, craftily introduced them all to one another and laid out the frame work for what would be the family not talked about in Legacy City, a crew, or group they called Camelot. So named, because it was decided amongst them all, with some persuasive talking by James, that no one person would be the head or leader of them all. Thus when they would meet for business matters, and make decisions, they would quite literally sit at a round table and vote on all the moves made. The founders of Camelot, were James, Ernest, Daniel, and Junius. They later added Ted, Mike, and John, to the table level of the group. James had been quite busy organizing a influential group of individuals into an extremely profitable organization. James would even open Legacy City’s best known hotel/ nightclub, of course naming it Camelot, his only partener in that venture was Daniel, as none of the others had to much interest in leagal ventures. James, quickly became well known, to both sides of life in Legacy City. All of this was done, while James was completely ignorant of the powers he possed.

    Hero Type: Energy (Molecular)

    Power Level: World Level

Powers: The ability to control matter and Telekenetic. He can grab and move things at will, while also being able to create one object from something completely diferent, shifting and transforming things comprised of molecules.

    Attributes:

    Strength Level: (Human Level) 4

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: (Street Level) 5

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: (World Level) 10

    Agility: Street Level 6

    Intelligence: (Street Level) 7

Fighting Skill:/Trained. As a youth, James found an interest in martial arts, and thus from the age of 5 onward, has studied and been trained in various forms of martial arts.

    Resources: Extreme

    Weaknesses: Alcohol, Beautiful Women

    Supporting Characters:

Brandy Taylor: James’ personal assistant. She knows his likes, dislikes, and is highly skilled at her job of making things happen, she usually has things done before James can ask her for something, she also serves as a body guard for James as she is very skilled in martial arts.

Daniel Garcia: A friend and business partener. A wise guy type.

Ernest Jackson: A friend and leader of the southside gang, also happens to be the largest in the city.

Mike Jackson: Ironically a high ranking member of a rival south side gang. An associate of James.

Ted: A hustler, and small time rapper. A pretty well known guy in many circles of the cities underword, and a close enough friend to James to be considered a brother.

Junius: Perhaps James’ closest friend and socialite. He is well connected through family members that have jobs working in city hall to the school district. An inheritance he received allowed him to be the financial backing for the groups early business.

Please post a picture of what your character resembles (Dual identity characters post a pic of your hero/villain and his alter ego as well)

    Sample Post :

[There are three floors that can only be accessed by certain individuals in Camelot. Of course those are the top three floors of the building, which stands exactly 77 stories high, making it the third tallest builing in Legacy City. Floor 77, is one complete living residence belonging to co owner James Hughes. Floor 76, belongs to Daniel Garcia, the other co owner of the hotel, while floor 75 was one large executive business meeting room. It’s just inside that room on the 75th floor were a meeting is taking place, that would have far reaching consequences in Legacy City. ]

James: (Thinking to himself as he looks around the table at everyone seated.) The great thing about a round table is, no matter where a person sits he can feel like he is at the head of it. Hmmm. I wonder if any of them, any one has stopped for a second, thought about it, and figured out that I am the one who put this all together.

( He takes a moment to look at each one of his associates, starting at his left, as they continue to talk about the matters at hand.)

Daniel, a cool dude, a bit cloudy sometimes, but always been a cool guy. His west side connections, help a great deal. We know where to go and were not to go, he grew up with the guys taking there turn at calling shots for the local gangs in the area, and being from that part of the city, he knows it the best. Not to mention he did a hell of a job finding us this property and running the place, now I finally get a chance to focus my attention on some other things.
    (To his right)
Ted, Ted, Ted. If I did not know any better I would say that he thinks he’s got this all figured out. I might even think he would be one to cross me, but the truth is he enjoys making the easy money too much to screw with things, not to mention if not for me half these guys would not even deal with him at all. He has a good deal of value, it seems no matter what side of the city I’m on, I can’t avoid running into somebody that knows him, or that he knows. However he used to do it, he can move product, to not actually be in a gang himself. Although part of a condition of being at this table is that he not directly work like that anymore, it’s to my benefit that he continues to think I don’t know he’s doing it. The guy is just greedy, but if he’s not careful he may find himself in an extremely uncomfortable situation. I have to admit, he and have been through a lot personally that the others don’t know about.

(To the left of Daniel) John, the youngest person in the room and one of three Jackson brothers here. He’s really here by default. When the four of us decided to make additions to the table, he was picked out of family loyalty by Ernest. Though I did not really agree to the selection, I decided it best not to block his addition, since truthfully Ted was my pick. However Ted serves more of a purpose than John, and frankly is more useful. John is a hot head and a know it all type, who still has a lot to learn, but his brothers keep him well in check.

Then we have his brother Mike, a shot caller for one of the south side gangs. How ironic that he joins the rival gang of the one Ernest runs, but I suppose being the oldest of the brothers, he did not want to be in a position to take orders from his younger and middel brother, Ernest. Who oddly is sitting next to Ted.

(He shifts his look to Ernest) I’ve known Ernest longer than anybody else at this table. It has always amazed me at how before all this started we could go months or even years without seeing one another, and yet everything pick right up were it left off the last time we were around one another. If I was ranking who the next smartest person at the table was after myself, it would be him. We have never really been all that close, we just have always been kindred spirits I suppose you could say. Though this is the first time the Jackson brothers have not all sat next to one another, and judging from this conversation being had, I think I see why.

That leaves Junius, sitting inbetween two powerful street level bosses. Ju is an interesting dude, he unknowingly convinced me to put all this together, of course in the beginning he helped out quite substantially, that inheritence he got when we were younger sure has gone a long way. He’s always been the money and the info guy. A family member, in city hall, police office, postal service, the airport. I mean from a logistics stand point, he was the most important guy at the table. Because of him we knew when to move it, how to move it and if it was being looked for.

(The thought is suddenly interrupted when the word “War” is said by John.)

[There is a moment of quiet and the chatter among the men has stopped.]

James: Guys, hey come on. We have plenty of options, so let's not rush to judgement.

Ooh Eyensane with a little mystery. I like that your characters alias is "yet to be determined" because we will get to watch your character evolve without knowing what or who he will become.

    Approved!

FYI, I updated the 1st post in the IC thread, which is the Legacy City introduction guide. It should have mostly everything you need to know about the city, it's geographical layout, it's history and the entire cast, including heroes, villains and NPC's

Yeah, it's ironic you did this, it's an idea I had been playing with for a while as far as the character. But the aim is for him not to know that he posesses the the powers at first.
