We kick the show off with a video package looking back at the recent history of World Champion Robert Roode as he stood face to face with Sting, spit at Dixie Carter, then let time run out at Final Resolution against AJ Styles only to beat him in a double overtime period continuation of the PPV match on last week's show. Roode now has to face Jeff Hardy, and Bully Ray has his back and guarantees the title is going nowhere. Roode and Bubba then come out to open the show by wishing everyone a Merry Freakin' Christmas. He hopes everyone liked the gift he and Bubba gave them at the end of last week's Impact because they know giving is better than receiving, and the only thing they forgot was to wrap a bow around Sting and Hardy. Bubba says he gives all year long by giving chicken bones to the homeless, he gives dollar bills to strippers, and he even gives whiskey to his kitty cat because he's a giving person, but the thing he loves giving the most is beatings. Last week, season's beatings go from him to Hardy and Sting. Roode says his actions last week probably put him on not just Santa's naughty list, but Sting's as well and he thinks Sting needs to come out here and face his greatness, look him in the eyes, and tell him he's suspended.

Instead, Jeff Hardy comes out and tells Roode and Bubba to calm down, because he'll take the title at Genesis and he'll end Roode's selfish generation. Also, he tells Bubba and Roode they'll be in a match tonight against Hardy and a partner of his choice which we all know will be Sting because that's what it said in the commercial before the show. Indeed, Sting's music hits and he comes out in Joker facepaint to the chagrin of Roode and Bubba and announces that he'll team with Jeff Hardy tonight.

Let's go to the ring for our first match!

Wild Card Tournament: Rob Van Dam & Christopher Daniels vs AJ Styles & Frankie Kazarian

RVD and Kazarian start us off and trade wristlocks and then takedowns with Kazarian coming out on top with a side headlock. RVD shoots Kazarian to the ropes and they trade armdrags and have a standoff. AJ tags in as Daniels yells "I beat him, you can beat him!" at RVD. Classic. RVD gets a headlock, but AJ shoots him to the ropes and catches him coming off with a big dropkick. RVD catches a charging Styles with a back elbow and a springboard thrust kick and then goes to make a tag, but Daniels walks away from him and allows RVD to be rammed into the Fortune corner where Kazarian tags in and hits a leg lariat for 2. Kazarian gets a Jack Brisco cradle out of the corner for 2, then goes back to the side headlock. AJ tags in and hits a suplex, but RVD boots him in the face and goes for Rolling Thunder, but bumps into Daniels out on the apron and knocks him to the floor. The referee calls it a tag and allows Daniels into the ring where Kazarian pummels him with a fast series of moves and a Russian legsweep for 2. Daniels stumbles over to his cornerand RVD kicks him square in the temple, knocking him silly and allowing Kazarian to hit the Fade To Black for the win.

Winners: AJ Styles & Frankie Kazarian

Tony Nese cuts a promo talking about how he's going to dominate the X Division because he has the strength, smarts, and heart to be the best in the X Division or with the big guys. We then go to Zema Ion, who says he's tired of sitting home waiting for opportunities, and now it's all about me, myself, and Ion. This leads right into our next match...

Best Of Three Series: Zema Ion vs Tony Nese

Ion is currently leading the series 1-0, with the winner joining Kid Kash, Jesse Sorensen, and defending champion Austin Aries in a four way X Division Title match at Genesis. Ion baseball slides Nese on his way into the ring to jump start the match, then moonsaults Nese off the corner and onto the floor. Nese catches Ion with a rollup when they head back inside, then follows up with a leaping enziguiri before leaping from the mat onto the top rope and then soaring onto Ion with a flying bodypress for 2. Nese slides out to the floor and sweeps Ion's legs, Ion dodges a Lionsault and tries a sunset flip back to the inside, but Nese kicks him in the head and hits the Lionsault for 2. Nese starts rolling over Ion with clotheslines and then pops him ujp into the air into a faceplant and deadlifts Ion into a German suplex for 2. Ion dodges a springboard crossbody and goes up top, but Nese pops up and suplexes him into the ring for 2. Nese appears to go for the Jig & Tonic, but Ion reverses to Code Red and then a back suplex with full rotation onto the knee and goes for the cover, but pulls Nese up at 2 like he did last week. You've never watched wrestling if you don't know where this is going, and indeed Nese catches him in a victory roll and gets the win.

Winner: Tony Nese

Nese looked amazing here, I was really, really impressed watching him do his thing.

Madison Rayne is backstage saying that she's got a huge announcement tonight because Impact Wrestling is never going to be the same. See, Karen Jarrett appointed her the new VP of the Knockouts Division on her way out, and she's wearing a referee's...um, tight fitting skirt because she's got something else planned for later tonight.

The Pope is backstage saying he hopes the people understand that he's cool with Devon and was there for him when he was having trouble with his wife and kids, and he was a father to him, his kids, and everyone in the world who is in need. The boys have come to the realization that Pope is pimpin', and if Pope is better, then Devon should aspire to be like Pope because the boys know it and he wants Devon one on one at Genesis. Devon walks in and gets in Pope's face and asks him if he wants to talk now and if he should dress and act like him. Devon asks Pope if he wants to turn his family against him, then grabs Pope and rams him into the wall until Devon's kids run out and nail Devon from behind with a chair. Pope gets on top of Devon's prone form and says this is what's going to happen when he and his boys take Devon out and we'll never see his black behind again.

Eric Young is taking ODB out to dinner to toast their first championship together and their first date. ODB says it's not a date, and asks if she can get a beer. Young says tonight they're fighting "Antarctica" who has a bunch of tattoos, then he attacks the waiter. Eric apologizes to ODB and says he's just nervous that this is their first date, and ODB says that if it was a date then he'd have brought her flowers or something expensive.

Madison Rayne is backstage, and she's...PRANCING!

Okay, we go to commercial and when we come back, Madison Rayne comes out to the ring and politely asks Tara and Brooke Tessmacher to come out there NOW! Rayne tells them that she's been appointed the Vice President of the Knockouts division, and with great power comes great responsibility: responsibility to destroy everyone that's beneath her. She's going to start with them because the closness, matching outfits, and cute nicknames make her sick, so she's going to make them face each other tonight and, by the way, she's appointed a special guest referee...herself. That match will start...right after this!

Brooke Tessmacher vs Tara

Tara and Brooke half-heartedly give each other armbars while going "OWWW!" in less than genuine fashion. Madison asks them ifthey think they're funny, and says the unemployment line will also be funny. Brooke and Tara go to a series of pinfall reversals where they just roll around and take turns on top for their own amusement. Madison yells at them again and threatens to fire them, so they tie up and Tara takes Brooke to the corner and Madison yanks on Tara's hair so she'll think Brooke did it. They argue and now Brooke takes Tara to the corner and Madison smacks her in the head and yells at Tara like she did it. Tara goes to a wristlock, Brooke cartwheels out to a wristlock of her own, Tara cartwheels to a wristlock on Brooke, and Brooke shoves her off to a stalemate. Brooke with a snapmare and a kick to the back as Madison gets in Tara's face and goes "Wow, that hurt, didn't it?" Tara takes Brooke over with a side headlock, Brooke regains her feet and Tara takes her back down, Brooke gets up again and Tara yanks her down by the head. Brooke has finally had enough and spears Tara and they catfight in the corner while Madison casualls leans in the corner. Brooke ducks a clothesline and hits one of her own, Tara with a clothesline, then picks her up for the Widow's Peak, but Brooke slips out and takes Tara out with a dropkick and comes off the second rope with a crossbody that gets an extremely long 2 given Madison's slow counting. They wipe each other out with a double bulldog and Madison preens and fixes her hair while counting the both of them. Tara and Brooke get back up and get in each other's face as Madison yells at both of them to hit somebody, so tehy both turn around and lay Madison out. A shocked Madison rolls out of the ring as Tara and Brooke raise their hands to the crowd and their music plays. Okay, we'll call this...

No Contest

Madison jumps up and down in the aisle saying she's going to fire both of them. We then go to the back where Sting says he's wanted to team with Hardy for a long time because Hardy said he got into wrestling because of Sting. He gives Hardy his endorsement and he believes in second chances because he's gotten second chances in his career as well. Hardy's ready for tonight, and he's not concerned about Bubba and Roode because they're ready for them. Sting says Roode and Bubba have sphincters around their necks, and we're at commercial.

We're back at the restaurant as Eric Young raids the kitchen to find presents for ODB. A chef walks in and says he can't be in there and runs out saying he's going to call security. Whatever.

James Storm comes out to the ring to share his thoughts on the recent regime change in North Korea and who he thinks has a shot of getting the GOP nomination in 2012. Just kidding, he's here to tell Kurt Angle that he came out here like a man and told Angle that he's not scared of him, and Angle kicked the crap out of him for three quarters, but in the fourth quarter, he got Tim Tebow'd courtesy of the Cowboy James Storm. It may not have been pretty, but he got the job done, and...wait a minute, we see Kurt Angle in a cowboy bar ordering the same moonshine Storm drinks, then spitting it in the face of some girl Storm hangs out with before calling the moonshine piss water. Yes, because these are wise things for a guy from Pennsylvania to do in a real country bar.

Shannon Moore is backstage saying he doesn't like Anarquia and they have their history, but he's going to win regardless of what Anarquia does out there.

We catch up with Bully Ray and Bobby Roode backstage and they express their confidence about tonight's main event streetfight.

Wild Card Tournament: Shannon Moore & Anarquia vs Eric Young & ODB

Young cartwheels around the ring to start, then dances before tying up with Anarquia. Anarquia shoots him to the ropes, Young comes off and takes him down with a shoulderblock, then jumps on Anarquia's back and dances. An irate Anarquia pops up and runs into a hiptoss, then tags out to Moore. This is an interesting pairing. They circle each other and Young goes out to ringside and starts chain wrestling with Sarita. Young takes his pants off and hands them to Rosita before jumping back in the ring and taking Anarquia out with a flying forearm for 2. Sarita and Rosita pop up on the apron and ODB goes after them, allowing Anarquia to nail him from behind. Anarquia with a back elbow for 2, then Moore tags himself in and covers Young for 2. Moore moonsaults onto Young for 2, then tags Anarquia in but they argue with each other long enough for Young to make it to his corner and tag in ODB, who tells Anarquia to kiss her ass. Anarquia responds with a hard bodyslam, and Moore comes in and asks him what he's doing. I would think trying to win the match since ODB is a legal participant, but Moore disagrees and walks off, leaving Anarquia by himself to be pummeled by ODB, who then takes out Sarita and Rosita before slamming Anarquia so Young can hit a top rope elbow and tie up with thereferee. Hebner backs him to the corner and doesn't see ODB kick Anarquia in the nuts, but turns around in time to see her make the cover and get the three count.

Winners: Eric Young & ODB

Young picks both ODB and Hebner up and walks them around the ring in celebration. This was just too much for words.

We go backstage to Matt Morgan and Crimson, who consider the people who are still in the Wild Card Tournament and Crimson says they've been through hell and come out unscathed and there's nobody in the tournament who scares them. Morgan says he issued the challenge because he doesn't care where their challengers come from, nobody's taking their title.

We go back to the bar where Kurt Angle picks a fight with everyone in the country bar and wins. He takes everybody whose ass he kicked and lines them up at the bar so he can superkick them all and then throw a Christmas tree on top of them. Angle turns to the camera and says he's coming to Genesis and bringing Hell with him.

It's main event time!

No DQ Streetfight: World Champion Robert Roode & Bully Ray vs Jeff Hardy & Sting

We're probably not going to see any tags in this one if I had my guess. Sting pairs off with Bubba and they fight their way out to the floor where Sting rams Bubba into the barricade and then the steps while Roode and Hardy go at it in the ring. Sting bashes Bubba over the head with a garbage gan as Hardy unloadson Roode in the ring and headscissors him out to the floor. We've got a split screen watching both fights as Hardy and Sting both pop into the ring and hit stereo slingshot divesto the floor that wipe out both Bubba and Roode as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Sting slams the garbage can over Bubba's head again while Hardy runs Roode into the guardrail and the stairs. Bubba gets ahold of a kendo stick and hits Hardy with it, then brings it into the ring and works Sting over as Roode gets a kendo stick of his own and beats Hardy down on the floor. Roode throws a garbage can lid and accidentally hits Bubba in the nuts with it, but that gives Bubba an idea and he puts the lid over Sting's nuts and hits it with the kendo stick. Bubba bashes Sting in the head with the lid while Roode does the same to Hardy with his own lid. A bunch of chicks sitting in the front row try and grope the battered form of Hardy as Sting superplexes Bubba in the ring and covers for 2. Roode slides into the ring and absolutely demolishes Sting with it as Bubba goes out to the floor and attacks Hardy's knee with his chain. Bubba chokes Hardy with the chain as Roode covers Sting for 2, then Bubba tosses Roode tha chain and he wraps it around his fist, but Sting blocks the punch and sends Roode to the corner for the Stinger Splash, but Roode ducks out of the way and Sting hits hard. Roode suplexes Hardy on a trash can on the floor while Bubba gives Sting the People's Elbow for 2, then Roode comes back in so he and Bubba can sandwich Sting, but Sting ducks and Bubba lays out Roode. Sting gives Bubba the Deathdrop, but Bubba hits him with a spinebuster, Hardy with an inverted enziguiri to Roode, and Bubba flattens Hardy with a big boot. Bubba gets a table from under the ring and sets it up on the inside, but Sting moves the table out of the way before Bubba and Roode can suplex Hardy through it. He clotheslines both guys and hits the Stinger Splash on Bubba, then on Roode, then gets Bubba in the Scorpion Deathlock and Bubba almost taps, but Sting has to break to nail an attacking Roode and give him the Deathdrop. He and Hardy set the table back up and put Roode on top, then Hardy puts Roode through the table with a top rope splash for 3.

Winners: Sting & Jeff Hardy

Sting and Hardy celebrate with the crowd as Impact goes off the air.
