He got DQed his last two matches. He got DQed at Genesis and last weeks Impact and if you don't see this as his gimmick, then you're clueless. Yeah, Flair got DQed, pulled the tights and grabbed the ropes, but with Flair, it was NEVER as obvious and "HE WON." With Roode, TNA is just making him come off as an arrogant prick after he manages to keep his title. It's a shame because Roode could be a great champion.

Again, just look around the net on what they think of the way TNA is handling Roode. You'll see that I'm far from alone who thinks these DQ's make Roode look weak.

On Impact it was a no contest, he didn't get DQ'd...he's won his title matches twice against Styles & against Storm...what part of that can't be translated for you & you can't see with your own eyes what happened on television to keep making these statements that he hasn't yet want to keep calling someone clueless? I'm not the one jumping to conclusions but then again I'm talking to the guy who also jumped to the conclusion that Bobby Roode wasn't in the World Title picture after Storm won the belt. At least you get it that he's coming off as an arrogant prick since his gimmick is that he's selfish & willing to go anything to keep the title. I'm done with this because I've proven my point over & over again about just seeing what you want to see opposed to everything that's happen & I'll make it clear one last time. According to you he's a champion who can't win a match when he's openly defeated A.J. Styles twice in championship matches & beat James Storm ("HE WON")...according to you, he's a champion who gets DQ'd all the time when he's only lost once by DQ. I'm not going to argue if you think he's a weak champion for not because that's your opinion, just get all the facts straight about everything instead of ignoring them just to prove a point.

Roode is very good at this kinda of champion, and I don't see this as a gimmick just that he doing everything he can do to win. He has gotta clean wins and some cheating but that is apart of a heel champion imo.

You keep bringing up the AJ match. Forget about the pinfalls in that match. How did it end? He purposely got himself counted out. And correct me if I'm wrong, he lost his last two matches to Hardy by DQ. When is TNA gonna actually let him beat someone?

to go along with 4 gold here. How many times has Daniel Bryan gotten the win in title defenses. It's the same thing he's a smart champion who doesn't have to win to remain champion. It's what heels do they cheat to win at all cost. it's his thing. He's TNA's top heel for a reason. Stop complaining cause he got himself counted out. If you remember he beat AJ the following Impact after the first 5 minutes.
Some people will never be happy. They want him to be champ and when he is over as champ they complain as to how they are going about getting him over. pick a side already.
Those people who have a problem with the way he is being booked are probably members of the "Crucial Crew" a lot of whiny fans who complain about everything.
This is one of the things that TNA is doing right. Stop nitpicking and enjoy a classic old school heel. The best I think in wrestling right now.

    Thanks TBB

You keep forgetting their first match at Turning Point when Roode pinned him & their final match after the draw at Final Resolution where Roode made him submit. In his series against A.J., he beat him twice & I will correct since you are wrong on that Ironman match because it was tied 3 to 3 before he stalled the last 10 seconds...he never got counted out or else A.J. would have won the match & the title. Again, pay attention. And I will correct you because your wrong again, he didn't get DQ'd in the Impact match against Hardy or else he would have lost the title again like Sting said later in the show...it went to a no contest. So since you want to nitpick & forget Roode ever won matches. Here's the record for you to open your eyes, rewatch or go look up for yourself.

He pinned James Storm to win the title, he pinned Storm the next week, he pinned A.J. at Turning Point, went to a draw at Final Resolution, made A.J. submit on the following Impact, got a DQ at Genesis, and went to a no contest on Impact. I'm just naming title matches, he also pinned Hardy in a triple threat against both him & A.J. on Impact as well. He's won more times in title matches than all this other countout/DQ crap you've convinced yourself happened (when twice it didn't) yet keep asking "when is TNA gonna let him beat someone" when he's been doing it right infront of your face if you would just stop crying all the time & pay attention.

OK, he "purposely" stalled in the last 10 seconds to retain. That makes it much better. If you guys think the way TNA is booking Roode is the best thing going in wrestling, boy have the standards of a wrestling fan went down and booking like this is the reason TNA continues to hover around a 1.1 rating and around 8,000 PPV buys. And you want to compare this to what the WWE have done. Well, the WWE can get away with it because they're the WWE. TNA on the otherhand, cannot. Again, just look around the web to see what others are saying. It's not just me.

That's funny as well because TNA doesn't publicly release their PPV buyrates because they are a private company unlike WWE who has to because they are a public company so you in reality have no freaking clue what the true buyrates are past dirt sheet reports that can't be truly confirmed by anyone so again your trying to be too smart for your own good & making assumptions off stuff without paying attention or knowing the true facts (that's been proven too many times in this thread alone). Funny you mention the ratings as well because we have a thread that keeps track of the ratings & that shows that the average has actually gone up during Roode's title reign compared to where it was before it. You can keep mentioning "the internet doesn't like it" all you want but the numbers don't lie just like the facts of what we've seen portrayed on television doesn't lie either.

Maybe your standards are too damn high as a fan because all you've done on here time & time again is complain, never hear you make threads or talk about things you enjoy or like...it's always "send this guy to developmental...they need to do this & should do that...run BFG in Madison Square Garden...so & so need to ask for their releases because they weren't on TV this week...I want 60 minutes instead of 30...sell TNA to someone else so I get the perfect promotion I want." You don't work for TNA & reality is that you have no clue what's going on behind the scenes business-wise past what they want you to know so unless your tweeting these things to Dixie Carter directly & she's responding to you, your wasting your time overthinking it. They are going to give you the product that they want & you have two options, stop trying to be a smartmark & just watch the things they give you & actually enjoy some elements of the product or just stop watching if all it's doing is making you angry & complaining because the constant crying isn't going to change a thing TNA does & all it will do is just keeping making you more upset & what's the point of that.

You don't understand. I don't want TNA to succeed. I would to see them thrive. They probably will never be as big as the WWE, but they could definitely be better. But they need better booking. We disagree, I'm glad Roode is champ, but I don't like the BS finishes of his matches.

Roode is the leader of the SELFISH GENERATION, that is his gimmick.
Heel champions cheat to keep their titles, that's what they are supposed to do.
Roode is the classic heel champ, just like Austin Aries, they do whatever they can to keep their titles.

If you ain't cheating you ain't trying.....There has been so many gimmicks and characters that has cheated to get all of their wins that is kind of part of being a heel champion. Roode has some clean wins and he has cheated to keep the title this also goes back to how he lost at BFG to Angle cheating and he said in a interview after BFG that realized the nice guy will never win and goes with that.

i was gonna say that, he played the straight and narrow just to get cheated on "his night" so he finally gets the belt by cheating and you expect him to stop cheating, especially when its apparent hardy is gonna beat him? (genesis, low blow) that would make no sense

The difference is that Aries is actually winning matches where as Roode is keeping his title without actually winning. Cheating is fine. That's what heel champs do. But you need to look good while you cheat. That's what make a heel champion great.

I like the way he's going, but I do agree that losing by DQ isn't the only way he can achieve this plan of his. It would be good to see Roode us a weapon and cheat to get the pinfall, or even beat his opponent up outside the ring so they can't make it back in before being counted out. This would all still work in establishing him as the "do whatever it takes" character.
