I wish I could find the promo of Kofi's as a heel before his WWE days, from what I remember it was pretty good heel promo. I will keep looking for it and post it if I can find it.
That isn't the one I heard before but that is kinda heelish, and I am still looking.
Great find. It was a pretty damn good promo and that is what I think that he can do. But the only problem is that he had the fake Jamaican accent in that promo. That is why I liked the Orton promo, he was himself and he made it real. Yes it was a face promo but still. That is what I think he can do though, if the WWE gives him time he might be able to breakout. But it just seems the WWE doesn't want to push him right now. But he still needs something now that he has lost his partner for awhile.
Maybe when Bourne comes back, he can have a tag match with Kofi. Kofi during the match Bourne is looking for a tag, he is about to tag Kofi but Kofi jumps off the ropes and walks to the back. Then someone comes over for an interview and asks Kofi why he did it. Kofi looks at him and says if Bourne wants my help he needs to help himself first. The interviewer looks puzzled as he walks off. Perfect way to have Kofi leave Bourne. (And I wasn't supportive of it at first).
if kofi was more angry like in his fued with orton he could play a good heel and its not like hes going anywhere now
I liked what he was doing during that feud and I actually think they did intend to go that route, but it fall flat. It might work, I guess, but they'd have to do something more than he just being an angry, generic heel.
If Alberto can get a push for the title did Kofi can be a maineventer. I have watched Alberto and he is the one guy I turn the channel when he is on (except when I order a PPV too costly). Kofi at least has interesting matches. I watched his matches with Drew, Shamus or Ziggler and enjoyed them all. If Del Rio is not wrestling someone that can put on atleast a 4 star match he usually puts me to sleep. You can't have him wrestle Orton at mainia because it would be distarious. And his mic work is subpar at best. I'm not a big fan of the Miz but he promos are solid to good. And he worked to get where he is at. Alberto was shove to the fans. I keep waiting for Alberto to impress me. He has a very 80's heel vibe to him. If Kofi won money in the bank or the RR we would not be having this conversation about his carreer right now. He would be way over.
I don't think the WWE doesn't need a new heel. We have the Miz,Alberto, Zigler,Wade, Kane and Jericho. All these guys are cocky heels. Kofi would just get lost in the shuffle. One the main reasons Cena is getting booed so much is because they they don't have enough faces that are legitimate title contenders. Especially when Cena is very one dimensional in the ring. They lost John morrison and Evan appears to be on his way out. Kofi does have any reported drug or additude problems like the before mentioned guys. I would push him. He did great in his Orton push. Give him the ball and if doesn't work then turn him heel or put him a tag team. Having another face would help take all the attention from Cena's weaknesses.
kofi is lost in the shuffle now plus lets count faces
punk
truth
orton
bryan
cena
sheamus
big show
brodus clay
ryder
and kofi
True but Ryder and Brodus are still midcarders. Bryan is another cocky heel now. Plus Show, Orton and Sheamus are Smackdown guys. They show up on the supershow but are mainly Smackdown. That leaves Truth, Punk and Cena, who is booed by many adults but loved by kids. The fans want somebody to break through the glass ceiling. Every time the main event loses dept things like this happen. When Austin and Rock left this happened. When Shawn became the guy after the Klique left and Bret was on a year retirement same thing happened. Kofi was doing fine when they gave him a chance before. One botched move is not enough of a reason to take away a mainevent push.
Just saw the rumble handstand. Yeah somebody push this guy. I'm still mad that we lost benjamin and Jomo. I don't want to see that happen to him. He is one of the view exciting wrestlers left.
