With the discussions about TNA's Spike TV contract rumored to be ending on Spike this year, I felt it was important to address where things fall with the two companies.
Many people were concerned about TNA's future after Spike rebranded their shows to open up their product for more women and children. This is also one of the big reasons TNA IMPACT was rebranded to IMPACT Wrestling.
I have asked and been told that the TNA-Spike relationship doesn't appear to be in Jeopardy and if it isn't being done so now; a new contract is being worked out for the future. The relationship between the two companies is said to be closer than what Spike had with WWE a few years ago.
Officials at Spike aren't stupid people who expect ratings to jump significantly over a long period of time. They are aware that ratings need to grow slowly but steadily over time. They know that factors such as competition and season plays a role in how ratings play out; and anyone who tells you that Spike doesn't know this or ignores these points is wrong.
TNA is constantly one of Spike's top rated programs and is used to promote other Spike programs. With the recent purchase of Bellator, many expect Spike to help use TNA to advertise Bellator (which starts in 2013). While Bellator and TNA fall under Spike's old "just for men" mantra, they also fall into the "Spike Sports" category of their new brand.
It's nice that they use TNA to promote other shows on Spike as well as other Viacom shows, but when are they going to use those shows to promote TNA?
BINGO! TNA will never get anywhere no matter what they do if they don't have advertising which Spike its capable of doing & shown they can do but just refuse to do it.

What other options are there? No other network that has the benefits that Spike has or wants wrestling on their network, that was evident all the times SmackDown was available time & time again in the past few years yet the only channels that wanted it was Syfy & WGN (which has worse coverage than Spike).

well i didnt think about that earlier, but they might as well send feelers out even if its a waste of time because you never know, even though its no spike, i didnt think roh would be back on tv so soon, but they worked out the deal with sinclare, now of coarse tna would take a huge step down with that kind of deal but my point was well i forgot but i dont expect tna to leave spike just sayin
TNA should definitely look into other avenues, especially with networks like FOX. I know in Canada we have the Score (which has all WWE programming) TSN, and Sportsnet. TSN used to have both WWE and WCW on, and would do well for TNA in canada. The other option might be the USA network if WWE's network is successful and they put all of their programming over to that. Avenues might open up for the company to move, but they should at least look before just resigning.
Wouldn't it be funny if TNA got a deal with TNT or TBS lol
they need to get off spike, spike used to be tnn which held the other minor league promotion ecw gotta nut up or shut up and try for a big network
yeah all you need to know about spike is how they treated ecw (no ads) and kicked them to the curb when wwe came knocking. im sure if wwe wanted back on spike theyd give tna the ecw treatment. and its been proven that spike can advertise if they want, they had a million dollar budget for wwe
^^^ABC is owned by Disney (doubt they want anything to do with wrestling) & is designed to be a family based network so the direction of TNA would have to drastictly change to PG oriented meaning no blood, no foul language, tone down the sexual nature of the show, ect.
I could see TNA on MyNetworkTV. Smackdown got them their highest rating ever so I think they might be open to it.
And it seems WWE did the move to SciFi only to get more money.

not true at all, my network decided not to renew wwe, wwe wanted to stay on basic cable but then had no choice to go to scify after there were no other options
