Due to server load during PPVs / RAW, some features may not be operating like search

Due to the load being used on all the websites associated with this forum and they share the same server, some things have been turned off for the time being to help forum load.

Search, Arcade and Chat and others as needed has been turned off for now but will be turned back on ASAP.

This has nothing to do with the forum, the forum is fine, we are just connected to the trouble and need to look after ourselves for now.

There are people working on these problems and hopefully it all will be fixed very soon but one thing is for sure, the forum will be back to normal later on today. This is a new server and there are always a few technical difficulties to be found in the beginning.

We apologize for any inconvenience but this is to help members on the forum.




(ADDED) IMPORTANT: If needed, please try the method below.

If anyone is having problems or the page continues to keep loading I advise trying these:

Internet Explorer:
Close your browser and PWS / Clean all cookies and Temp Internet Files / Reopen browser /PWS.

FireFox:
Close PWS tab / Click Tools/Options / Find Privacy / Click 'Clear Recent History' then check all Cookies are gone / Close Options / Reopen PWS / Sign back into PWS

I have turned Search back on and we will see how we go. I have also turned chat back on but without all options.

It will be busy tomorrow on the websites because of RAW and I want to make sure the forum stays up.

I will keep this thread updated as necessary.

Due to the websites getting so many visitors, I have had to turn off chat and search again sorry. I will put them back on ASAP.

All things seem back to normal now but we will keep an eye on things. Due to moving to a new server, the problems that occurred has helped us see what kinks were in the system and now we will be ready for future instances.

The problem occurred after the Royal Rumble PPV when thousands of people arrived at the main websites all at once and was quite a shock to all, including myself. This continued on to the end of RAW as it was a huge weekend for wrestling. The websites have their own tech team and I control the forums and I tried my best to keep the forum up and running for its members and staff. Some decisions made were out of my hands and there was nothing I could do and all I could do was what I could on my end of the server and forum. I think in the end we did quite well considering and only lost a few extras for members now and then but I will be ready for next time.

All of us at PWSForums and its websites really do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and will try to make sure that this does not happen again or atleast not as bad.
