Rumored Lockdown Plan and UK Tour Attendance Figures
- TNA is planning to invite several celebrities to sit in the crowd at this year's Lockdown PPV to help give the event a 'big show' feel.
- Unofficial attendance estimates for the Maximum Impact Tour were 3,000 in Nottingham, 5,500 in Manchester and 8,000 for the TV tapings in London. The crowds were said to be by far the loudest TNA has ever had in the UK.

8,000? That's less than last time they were at Wembly. I was expecting 8.5-9.2k
Not aweful though.

I'm not sure though, I know they were pushing 10 thousand last year but sure I heard that was rounded up and was actually 8 something again.

I like the idea of bringing celebrities in for Lockdown because it will give more exposure to the company, which is what they need.

What's the largest attendance TNA have had in the US?
If only TNA could get these crowds all the time, the show would improve dramatically
Can't wait to see how this looks on tv

No it won't @D.B it'll just show that their car crash booking is working and they'll keep booking this shit. If people stop turning up, not making Dixie money (Or losing her more) they'll realise what they're doing isn't as great as it could be
-
Why have celebrities appear in the crowd at Lockdown where no one will see them? no one buys TNA PPVs. They'd be better off having them appear on Impact.

Fair point.
What I was getting at is how small time TNA looks on tv (looking at WCW stuff from the Monday Night Wars recently hasn't helped), lately there's about 20 people in the crowd that actually give a damn, until Jeff Hardy appears.
I do think that a large crowd booing the hell out of the random bs that happens could only be a good thing and it'd be very hard for TNA to ignore. imagine Crimson getting booed out of the building during his big push, things could have turned out so differently.

And how do you know how many people buy their ppvs do you work for TNA?

Its common knowledge TNA PPV business is awful, TNA are more intrested in TV than PPV on the go-home Impacts they generally hype the next weeks Impact more than the PPV that will take place that weekend. Hell most 'wrestling newz sites' estimate the PPVs for TNA to be less than 8,000 buys. You copy & paste enough articles from 'wrestling newz' sites you should know that.
Why have C-List celebs appear on a show a couple thousand people will watch when you can have them on a show millions watch? Logic.

No one knows how many buys TNA gets sorry, idc who tells you how many buys them, they don't know same with WWE. It is always the same person posting how many people buys WWE and TNA ppvs.
On the celebs thing this is a big ppv for them, so why not invite people to the show because no one knows how many people are going to watch it.

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE knows that TNA don't sell any PPV'S. We all know that Genesis 2006 was by far the biggest and the latest reports state TNA sold around 8,000 to 12,000. Do you really think how TNA was booked for the last year that they would get many more than that, especially after the Jeff Hardy affair, I dont think so.
Rick Ross at Genesis was pretty cool. UFC does it well, on Impact they could show Mark Cavendish in the crowd as he was the the Wembley arena. But what matters most is a solid card, that people want to see, end of story.
Thanks
Phenomenal AJ for the awesome sig.
