WWE continued Natalya's farting storyline on last night's SmackDown. She and WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix were backstage warming up for their match when the flatulence began before Santino Marella made an appearance. WWE says that Natalya has made it an "awkward addition" to her pre-match warm-ups.

Natalya's uncle Smith Hart wrote the following on Twitter about the storyline:

"I am appalled by this ridiculous flatulence gimmick given to my niece Natalya"

"Anyone that knows Natalya, knows she is a radiant and incredibly inspirational person deserving of so much more."

God damnit. WWE would never run a storyline like this with Cena, Orton, Punk, or one of their main stars, so why are they giving this storyline to one of the few women who can actually perform a legitimate match? Give this storyline to a diva who doesn't know how to wrestle.

This is unexcusable for the WWE to embarrassed the first family of wrestling (IMO) .

What I dont get is why Nattie? Why turn one of the only women you have who can actually wrestle without looking like a spastic fish out of water into a joke? Why not make the Bellas into the Smella twins or give it to Eve or Smelly Kelly, no one cares about any of them and they could use something to offset the fact their not attractive, cant talk, cant wrestle, cant dance and have no personality.

This is the type of storyline that makes Vince laugh his ass off and makes Divas become Knockouts.

I think the gimmick is completely stupid & has no real purpose to it at all (who's gonna pay to see her fart?) but I don't feel that this is disrespectful or in anyway related to the Hart family itself. She isn't the first heavily wrestler to be stuck with a gimmick that's funny to someone but won't draw a dime...hell, Vince has done more embarrassing things to himself & his own family.

i agree that it wont draw a dime and does not deserve tv time, but to compare to vinces situations is a stretch, as vince being humiliated (by austin, dx) was the payoff for his character and did bring in money, a whole lot of people paid to see austin humiliate vince week after week
