Default Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust: Who Is The Better Brother?

Now, I know Cody hasn't been around that long, but it still begs the question who is better? Goldust was good when he was around holding titles, and being pegged with such a strange gimmick. When I first saw him in that gimmick I didn't think that it would last. But it did, and to be honest Goldust made it work. If it didn't work we probably would not even be having this conversation. Now with Cody, he started somewhat bland to me when he was in Legacy, but that is also because they never gave him time to shine, now that he is on his own we can see that he truly was the breakout star of Legacy. Now, I bring this question to you who is the better brother Cody Rhodes or Goldust?

Well, Cody has achieved everything Goldust has. IC title run, Multiple tag-runs, ect. The difference being Cody has many many many years left ahead of him so for that reason I am gong with Cody.

I'll say Goldust. His legacy and stamp will forever be remembered and stand out. The execution of his gimmick and how incredibly over it became is a testimony to his dedication.

And the Hollywood Back Lot Brawl with Piper is one match I will never forget. That was so stiff and such a well put together fight.

I really don't know... they both had gimmicks that everyone will remember Goldust in itself and Cody's dashing gimmick. And I love both of them, really great in the ring and mic just Goldust's time is seemingly done while Cody has way more he can do, for all we know in the next 3 years he can become the face of the WWE like Cena. So I'll say that Goldust is more memorable right now, if Cody were to mysteriously vanish right now, but when Cody's career ends then we can judge fairly.

If Cody's career were to end now then it would be Goldust but god willing it should last a good few years yet and if he carries on recent form he'll almost certainly over shadow Goldust and perhaps the topic in the future would be: Is Cody Rhodes better than his father?

Thats not a fair question though wrestling was way different when Dusty was wrestling. I mean in ring wise Cody is better then Dusty, but Dusty was a bleeder, and a guy who would wrestle flair in 60 minute matches like 5 days a week and things like that. You cant compare Cody to that can you? I like Cody and think he is only gonna get better.

Valid points for sure but it's no different to comparing anyone from more modern times than those who've gone beforehand.

Good point, and I guess that makes sense. I guess I just feel Dusty Rhodes did things Cody will never be asked to do so it would be hard to compare them to. If you go by wwe/f accolade Cody will be far greater when it is said and done. It would still be hard for me to say he is better then Dusty.

There in lies the "issue" in terms of any accurate assessment of them overall. It'd go down to accolades in terms of validation and the rest would only be opinion.

Guess it may also be another case in terms of the GREATEST and the BEST being different lists. Would suggest Bret Hart and Chris Benoit are well near the top of the best list but the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Stone Cold, HBK etc are atop the greatest list.

I'm going to always go with Goldust, mostly because I love his Good (Goldust) and his Evil (Black Reign) Personas. Plus, I've always wonder how WWE would do if they were to spoof the Black Reign Gimmick. Not to mention, I loved the antics that him & Booker got into when they teamed together, especially their "Booker T and Goldust at the Movies" Segment
