PSYCHOTIC JUSTICE TO BE DISHED OUT APRIL 20
“The Man Who Rules the World” will headline CWE’s Psychotic Justice on Friday April 20.
Former WWE & WCW Champion Psycho Sid Vicious will appear on the show at CWE’s original home base, the Maples Community Centre located at 434 Adsum Drive.
Vicious will tag up with one half of the Murder City Saints, Nate Hardy to take on the team of Zack Mercury and The Axe, aka Size Matters who sidelined Hardy’s partner Darien Karisma. Hardy had to battle Size Matters in a handicap match at Explicit Content which saw Hardy come out on the losing end. CWE Executive Ambassador Shane Madison unleashed the “Vicious” surprise on Axe & Mercury after the match.
The CWE Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as former titleholder Mentallo looks to unseat the current champion Danny Duggan in what’s being billed as “The Final Encounter.” This will be the third time Mentallo & Duggan have squared off with the last time being January 27th at CWE’s 3rd Anniversary Show when Duggan downed Mentallo for the title in a match regarded as a classic.
The CWE Tag Team Championship will be up for grabs in a TLC (Tables, Ladders & Chairs) match as the champions Team Impact, Pitbull Robby Royce & Anderson Tyson Moore try to stave off the challenge of The Big Sexy Beasts, Kevy Chevy & AJ Sanchez.
The last time the two teams battled for the belts, referee Kat Von Heez played a huge role in Team Impact retaining tag team gold. But with the only way of winning this match being snatching the belts from the ceiling using a ladder, pinfalls are out of the equation here.
Moses Luke gets his opportunity to regain the 123Approved.ca Open Rules Championship against current titleholder “Brickhouse” Paul Arcidi. The “German Juggernaut” was shocked by Arcidi at the 3rd Anniversary Show when it took all of 8 seconds for the belt to change hands. With the challenger setting the stipulation, it will be interesting indeed to see what stipulation Luke does choose.
These matches came about courtesy of a tag match at Explicit Content where Luke & Mentallo downed Team Impact. By virtue of the win, Mentallo earned his CWE title rematch while Team Impact is forced to defend their crown against The Beasts and Luke received his Open Rules title rematch.
"Alpha Male" Matt Fairlane will tangle with "Lion Warrior" Bobby Sharp in a contest that was originally slated for Explicit Content. The Explicit Content encounter was scrubbed due to a scheduling conflict. Sharp comes into Psychotic Justice with a broken hand sustained in a recent match with NWA World Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce. On top of that, he faces a man in Fairlane whose recent change of attitude has resulted in an unbeaten run since ditching tag team competition. He has left a trail of destruction that includes some of the best CWE & central Canada talent as well as former WWE Intercontinental Champion Val Venis. Add to that, Fairlane has been denied a CWE title match in spite of his string of success. Indeed it will be an angry "Alpha Male" battling a hungry up-and-comer on the 20th.
Ike Idol will meet “Supreme Adonna” Tommy Lee Curtis in a match at Explicit Content. Idol is a relative newcomer to the CWE ranks but is a seasoned veteran of the mat wars. He’ll get his chance to move up the ranks against a grappler who’s had himself a breakout year throughout Manitoba & Western Canada as he has had big matches against the likes of Demolition, Carlito and Teddy Hart just to name a few. With the competition level at an all-time high, both men look to make a lasting impression on new CWE management.
Wavell Starr, the “First Nation Sensation”, returns to CWE on April 20th. Starr is on a mission to return to CWE Championship contention. Also appearing at Psychotic Justice will be Darren “The Bomb” Dalton & Spyder, aka The Original Thug Crew, Tyler Colton, The Sons of Anarchy, “Pimp Daddy” Rick Matthews, Kevin Cannon and more.
