I expect Roode to win this. But wow what a great matchup! So much back and forth and good use of the enviroment.
Great spot RVD did

TNA Sacrifice: RAW, Unedited
Sacrifice time baby! The crowd is hot for tonights event and I am hyped as well. Title match straight away and this match should steal the show.
Match #1 Daniels/Kazarian vs. Joe/Magnus (c)
I hate when a wrestler has a headlock and switches to an arm bar or something like that. Should always try to do what Magnus does to start his attack, but taking Daniels to the mat. A few moments in and Joe/Magnus are over pretty strong.
As Daniels and Kaz start to take over the match, getting some heat on the champions, the fans chant for a comeback immediately. So they tease a comeback, but Magnus is cut off by the challengers and back to the heat we go.
Daniels and Kaz are the NEW tag team Champions in a great match, but the finish wasn't as fluent as it should have been with Kaz taking a bit to long to chop block Magnus, but still a enjoyable match to open the PPV tonight.
Rating: B+
Match #2 Brooke Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim (c)
Gail takes Brooke out before she gets a chance to launch an attack, but Brooke gets control until Gail Kim bails. Brooke tries Gail Kim's finishing move again but misses and Gail regains her dominance as the fans are behind Brooke. Gail Kim has come into her own as a heel and is carrying this match, taking control and getting heat when necessary and using good timing with the hope spots for Brooke.
Brooke hits Gail Kim with her own finishing moves and Gail falls to the floor, Brooke brings Gail back in the ring and only gets a near fall. Gail with the double leg, gets leverage from the ropes and she retains her Championship in an impressive wrestling match.
Ratings A-
Borash has an interview with Daniels and Kaz to change the pace and bring the fans down after two matches and they are reminding us of what they revealed regarding A.J Styles and we have permission to worship the new tag champions.
Match #3 Robbie E vs. Robbie T vs. Devon (c)
Three title matches in a row and I think this match is placed well. I base this view on the Kevin Sullivan, Guest Booker shoot where he talks about bringing the crowd up, then back down again, only to bring them back up, higher than previously.
I have a feeling, Robbie T may just get in the way during this match. He is awful and TNA has wasted their time with him for sure. The massive bodybuilder frame isn't going to work either because people have seen what an athlete looks like in the fighting game.
Devon pins Robbie T, after he is caught arguing with Robbie E. Not much to say about this match.
Rating D-
Robbie showing his talent at the end of the match, classic old school heel begging for forgiveness.
Match #4 Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson
Match is great early on, with hardy being completely dominate. Anderson gets control and works the arm with a Keylock as Taz correctly points out how working the arm doesn't makes sense, but Tenay points out he may be weakening the arm do he can hit his own finishers, easier. We need more analytically commentary like this exchange.
I think the ref fucked up and ended this match earlier than it should have finished. After watching the reply and Tenay and Taz do a good job or not pretending the ref didn't make a mistake. Hopefully TNA can make a story out this, mistake or not the match was good up to that point
Rating B due to the finish
Austin Aries promo and Christy Hemme gets a question from twitter, good way to use twitter to add to the show. Sensational promo by Austin Aries...no way that was scripted.
Erghhh, Joseph Park. Abyss has put on impressive acting performances and has gotten some chuckles out of me with how innocent he is acting.
Crimson is joining us and cutting a promo about how great he is. Open Challenge time...I wonder...He calls in Brian Hebner and berates him about being a lowly referee and Crimson demands a 10 count similar to Impact. EY and his bride ODB! EY has taken the challenge
Match #5 Crimson vs. Eric Young
Crimson ends up getting the victory in a fun little match and think TNA should continue with this little storyline and have EY end the streak.
Rating C+
Mr. Borash has a twitter question for a pacing, Bully Ray. This is classic stuff right there from Bobby Roode and Borash looks legitimately scared, great performance. Myspace.com/Calfvilla...GOLDEN! Bully Ray is such an awesome promo, he brings the funny but knows when to be serious.
Match #6 Bully Ray vs. Austin Aries
I am so pumped for this match, brilliant job booking to this point. This is how you work, ladies and gentlemen. Aries have been the the ring and few moments and have not touched yet with the crowd in the palm of their hands.
Bully Ray is old school heel moves, by avoiding any physical altercation. Aries has had enough and pushes the ref out of the way and attacks. Bully Ray hits a bit boot to the face of Aries who was on the top turnbuckle and the fans are into this bout. Bully Ray doesn't follow up but lets the official make a 10 count, courageous bump by Austin Aries.
That is another example of how you work, after a big spot and bump, Ray is getting some heat and allowing Aries to sell the spot and gain some sympathy for a babyface comeback.
Bully Ray is in shock after as Taz put it, his own version of the 3D. Ray gets a steel chain and here is Joseph Park to ruin the match and Bully Ray pulls him over the rails and gets a chair. ARIES! Back into the ring we go without Joseph ruining it and Aries got him up! Brainbuster! Ray kicks out! I thought it was over. HE TAPPED OUT! AUSTIN ARIES!
WOW! Match of the Year candidate, they just made Austin Aries! Congrats to Bully Ray and Aries for an match that was a pleasure to watch.
Rating A+
After a little video package, time to get A.J Styles thoughts on wrestling Kurt Angle and the crappy soap opera storyline.
Match #7 Kurt Angle vs. A.J Styles
Kurt and Styles go straight into some mat wrestling, to bring the crowd down and let them get over the match they had just witnessed. A.J is clearly showing how the drama is getting into his head and Kurt drops his knee pad telling Styles to try a take down and Styles with a kick instead.
Beautiful counter out of the Style Clash into the Ankle Lock, but Styles escapes. Loving the pace of this match so far, really enjoyable.
Double down after Styles and Angle both try flying cross bodies, and they really have the crowd into the match and I expect them to pick things up.
Kurt Angle kicks out of the Styles Clash, after Styles counters a Angle Slam and hits a Pele Kick.
Good luck to Roode and RVD in trying to follow Aries/Ray and now Angle/Styles. Styles climbs to the to rope, but Kaz and Daniels interfere, and Kurt hits the Angle Slam, but only a near fall. ANKLE LOCK! Kurt is forced to submit as Kurt has a grapevine keeping him in the middle of the ring.
Another quality match-up as Kaz and Daniels beat up Styles and Angle watches on and attacks Kazarian, then Daniels! I hope this is not a face turn but more so make Kurt a longer, who wants to fight everyone and beat everyone but has respect for his opponents. Let Kurt Angle be Kurt Angle!
Rating A
Kurt Angle does some stupid shit, but he is a great wrestler and puts his body on the line and takes it to the limit to put on great matches for us and should get a touch of respect for that from the IWC, who are turning into the TMZ crowd. People with no self esteem who trash celebrities to feel better about themselves. Need more positive energy put out their by wrestling fans. Negative energy is how you get dumbasses like that Don Tony dude who you hear on TV Trax all the fucking time.
Promo Time! Welcome, The REAL World Heavyweight Champion!
Main Event: RVD vs. Bobby Roode (c)
Despise the camera work for the introductions, just a nice hard camera shot of Borash, then close ups of the wrestlers without the camera shaking around constantly. The production of this part of the PPV has to improve to come across more professional.
RVD shines in the beginning highlighting his kicking ability and RVD is looking for a Ladder immediately. Smart psychology, try to win the match straight away. With gimmick matches, you have to get the gimmick over so you can have the fans get involved in any hope spots, high spots, etc.
A flying, running, body scissors, sending Roode back first into the ladder. Bobby Roode is making RVD look like a million bucks right here.
RVD looks to have hurt himself in the final stages of the match as Roode retains the championship and RVD looks angry at himself. Really putting over the importance of the Championship with RVD's reaction.
Rating A
Overall, the best PPV of the year...yes, it was better than Wrestlemania that only had 2 good matches, while this card was enjoyable from top to bottom. No stupid backstage vignettes, the matches were not over booked at all. This was a Professional Wrestling PPV and that is what I want from wrestling. I hope this is a sign of what is to coming as far as PPV's go for TNA.

Didn't see it, but I saw Aries vs Ray. Amazing match. Aries hit Ray with a brain buster. I think that match says enough about how Aries can go toe to toe with the heavyweights. I know he hit a brainbuster on Samoa Joe several years ago, but I still haven't seen that match.
You can compare Aries vs Ray to Bryan vs Sheamus. Two COMPLETELY different stories. Both were awesome and two of the best matches of the year.
Sounds like a great PPV minus the TV title match. I might have to grab the DVD.

TV title served it's purpose, if you have an event where every match has heat in it and is action packed the crowd will be dead for the finish.
Aries and Ray was match of the year, and was a straight up match. There was no gimmick attached to it, they didn't have a prior match and after one small altercation did nothing but promo's to built heat for it and is part of the reason the match was so good. Bully Ray did such a great job as a heel in the match, getting heat when needed and making sure to highlight the strengths of Austin Aries. Aries took some big bumps and the fact that Ray let Aries sell those spots rather than attack against straight away really helped make the fans believe in him more. Sheamus and Bryan may have been a good match, but this match elevated the X Division Champion to main event level and was pure wrestling, no gimmicks.
Kurt Angle and Styles had the task of following that match which had a hot finish rather than a simple boot to the face like the match you compared this too. Anyway, from what I've heard in many shoot interviews, Kurt and Styles needed to let the crowd settle down after the hot finish and get the focus onto the action in the ring and from there start telling the story and working the people. I thought they did a great job of that now that I put some real thought into it.
Main Event was great, but I feel they just didn't get the crowd like they wanted, partly because people may not have believed RVD would actually go over and as a result didn't have any momentum in the finish, kinda felt like it ended at a screeching halt. The difference between this finish and the one of Aries/Ray is that people didn't actually think Aries would go over. So when Ray hit a big move and went for the win people thought it was over but a kick out. After every near fall their hope grows, then at the right time Aries gets the win and the fans blew their load.
Can't wait to watch this show back again.

I'm often quick you jump on TNA when they mess up but you have to give them credit, they put on one hll of a show here. Even little things like showing the referee going to get the belt to hang above the ring were very clever.
Aries vs Bully Ray will get the plaudits and rightly so. Both men did a hell of a job and hats off to Aries for some of those bumps he took.
There were a few nitpicks I had, little things that bugged me but it's hard to find too much wrong with this show. Maybe not all the impressive a card on paper but it delivered.
Thanks to Blue Print for the awesome avatar and sig

Don't get me wrong it was good but I thought maybe there would have been a little bit more. I think maybe because we knew RVD wasn't going to win hurt the match, but still it wasn't bad. All and all a good show and easily the PPV of the year thus far for TNA. And now I can't wait to watch Impact this week...
The crowd seemed to be in the mood where they were ready to watch a great wrestling match without as much emotion invested in the result like with the Aries/Ray thing.
This didn't happen here, but I got heap of heat for praising the booking of Aries/Ray, complaining about the Aries turn but it worked. Everything about Aries/Ray was great and lead to the match being so good.

Best TNA PPV in a long time
I'm surprised a lot of people seem so down on Brooke vs Gail, for me it sold Brooke as a legitimate threat, something TNA hasn't been able to do with Velvet Sky, no matter how hard they try

Yeah, I don't know why everyone was down on that match either. It was better than I expected, Brooke has come a long way, and it was definitely better than the TV Title match.
-
^^ Better than expected, I gotta agree on that. I was supposed to use that match as a smoking break, but found myself watching the whole match
