Icon14 Matt Morgan Confirms 'Beef' With TNA Wrestling

Matt Morgan recently spoke to 102.5 FM The Beart promoting this weekend's house shows in Texas and discussed his status with the company. Morgan said there are "a lot of rumors" going on around him and that his time in the company "may be coming to a pass."

"I'm not going to deny that," he said. "I don't feel like I'm getting what I'm putting into TNA." Morgan said he was the "ultimate head-turner in TNA" and claimed that he is tired of a having the carrot of the World Title "dangling in front of my face."

Morgan said his TNA contract is coming up soon and that the company has the best roster in wrestling, noting that "my beef is with the company." He noted that he's appearing on the house shows to keep to his obligations to TNA.

This could be a work leading to the return of Matt Morgan as a heel. Bischoff loves reality angles, so having wrestlers blow off steam during interviews could be their way of breaking new ground. I wouldn't be surprised if Morgan and Joey Ryan have signed with TNA. I would be a little surprised if Scott Steiner showed up on TV because of how far he's taking his rants...mostly I'd think it would be interesting to see Steiner back on Impact now of all times.

that would all make for an entertaining angle

the only competition Wrestling needs is the one beetween the Wrestlers, not the companies... if WWE, TNA and ROH could just stop taking shots on each other and fully focus on the growth of their products, that would make a lot of people happy

Ultimate head-turner? lol, based on what? I'd say he's the exact opposite. A guy that is so mediocre that I have really no interest in turning my head and watching him.

He deserved a world title in 2009 let alone now, it's long overdue.

Based on what? I just don't see him as World Title material in any sense. Absolutely nothing about him stands out, other than his size.

Great athlete especially for his size, has had good matches with the likes of Angle, Sting, even Abyss among others and I feel his promos sound genuine, truthful and believable on the mic unlike some wrestlers. I'd put the belt on him before I'd put it on Mr. Anderson any day of the week.

He has great skills, he really does. But I personally think he got pushed to soon and I just don't think he has that connection with the fans. When he was fighting for the title in 2010 the matches never leapt past the average bar. I just hate his whole persona and I don't think it would be bad thing for him or TNA if he moved on. He's rebuilt his career there, in 2006 he wasn't doing anything at all. But then if they changed his personality in TNA I might buy him a bit more.

Thanks Phenomenal AJ for the awesome sig.

Not a fan of Morgan and will not miss him. I'm sure he will go back to WWE along with Steiner. They are both very bitter and angry men because they are no longer getting a pay check from TNA.

It was Morgan's choice to leave TNA so he can't be bitter about that and furthermore Steiner will never work for WWE again I reckon especially with Triple H having a lot more power, those two never got along and hate each other most likely. I think Steiner has burned his bridges with both WWE and TNA.

For me, Morgan was always missing "IT" that made you really care about him. He probably the most athletic giant for his size I've ever seen but he always tried to do the "intelligent giant" gimmick & it just never said MAIN EVENT CHAMPION to me. I don't agree with a lot of things Hogan says but he pointed out to one instance where he was in the ring doing a face to face with Scott Steiner where Steiner was burying his ass yet he never had a good comeback as he just kept putting Steiner over while Scott continued to insult & bury him...that says something to me as Foley pointed that out about Morgan in his last book (they mentioned it on Foley's DVD) too.

The guy can't kick, he can't punch, he can't sell.
He is 36 years old, and his name is not Dallas Page.

I have only one thing to say to Morgan. Peace. Morgan always thought even when he was in WWE that he was going to be the next big thing. I have never liked Morgan. He may be over with the fans, but really he brings nothing to the table. Good riddance to Matt Morgan and good luck back in the WWE. I hope they do the same thing to Morgan as they did to Albert.
