Default Triple H Doesn't Want Mick Foley on TV

Triple H Doesn't Want Mick Foley On TV
    Source: Wrestling Observer Radio

The most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio shed some light on why Mick Foley has not been used much on WWE programming, and it stems from an ongoing rift between Foley and the new Executive VP of Talent.

Paul Levesque (Triple H) has consistently lobbied to keep Foley off Raw and other WWE TV shows, stating Foley "doesn't look tough" and cannot be taken as a legitimate competitor. Levesque has gone so far as to say "No one cares about him [Foley] at all. Funaki puts more ases in seats than Foley does. He should pay us for coming on our shows."

This disagreement between Foley and Triple H is not entirely news. Foley had several disguised comments about Triple H is his book Hardcore Diaries and also had a big problem with Triple H's crack about Lilian Garcia during an episode of Raw in April of 2010, which Foley publicly criticized.

Triple-H is a double edged sword for the WWE. On one hand, he is the voice of reason behind Vinces crazy ideas, he cares about bringing in fresh talent and developing them properly and he always puts 100% into his in ring work.

But then on the other hand he has a huge ego and will bury anyone to get himself over. HHH doesn't like Foley because in the Attitude Era, Triple H was vying for time as the top guy, and when Austin and Rock took time off, it was Foley who became the most over main eventer on the roster at the time. HHH was jealous and buried him as often as he could but could still never manage to get over as much as Foley did

yeah, but at the same time, now-a-days, Mick Foley sort of inspires a teddy bear presence and not like he used to when he was Mankind

Foley was never EVER physically intimidating though, even as Mankind he was only really totally over untill he dropped the creepy boiler room promos and started hugging people and telling them to have a nice day

what i don't get is they've quoted what he has said yet don't have a source or evidence of that ACTUALLY being said. wouldn't be surprised if they heavily twisted those words. I'm sure that HHH doesn't want Foley on TV but I think they've probably made a few things up as well which is no surprise as it is the Wrestling Observer way.

Like what? He's a 3 time WWE Champion and has some of the biggest matches in the history of the company. What more could they really have given him?

They don't need Foley anyway. Not right now. Just bring him in for one last storyline...Foley vs Ambrose. It already has a lot of heat, now bring that to TV. If HHH can't set his rivalry aside to build up Ambrose, then HHH needs to step up and put him over. That won't happen since he stole Punk's match with Nash and he's wasting Lesnar's time instead of booking Lesnar against Punk or some other active wrestler. HHH isn't going to job out or waste time with newcomers, but I'm sure they could get Foley to do that.

Fuck Triple H, I swear, once he runs the company full time...it's going to be nothing but guys who Triple H likes and kisses his ass. He's going to kill the business more than Dixie is doing over on TNA.

Triple-H has served as Vinces "apprentice" learning the ins and outs from him for over 12 years. Dixie was handed the wrestling business by her father wrapped in a red bow, so that is highly unlikely.

Is HHH really still jealous that Foley is still a bigger star than he'll ever be?

Saying he cant draw is ridiculous and the looking tough part, I'd fight HHH and his beach muscles before I'd fight the gap toothed hardcore legend Foley. HHH like Vince obviously puts all his stock of what a draw/superstar is into the size of their arms.

RIP William Christopher 'Cryonix' Stallings, you'll never be forgotten

Not to mention, Paul has actually wrestled and everything. Dixie not so much, heck her storyline with AJ is (i think) the most she's been shown ON TV her whole Career in the wrestling industry

Hannibal Lecter was never tough looking, but he still scared the shit out of people. Mick Foley got HHH over as sadistic just like he did whe he got Shawn Michaels over as a brawler. Besides I doubt Foley wants to wrestle. He can still be usefull withought wrestling.
