sorry if this is the wrong section, didn't really know where to put this, but I've always wondered why wrestler tap their shoulders while in a hold like a headlock. Is it a sign to lighten up, or what to do, or what. I was watching Beniot/Punk vs Burke/Cor Von, and noticed that both Punk and Benoit are constantly tapping their shoulders while in a headlock or other hold. Just wondering if anyone knew why. thanks.
It's probs a signal to go (run the ropes)
Jake and others used to tap the back as a ''go!'' for the ddt.
Maybe that?
Ladder matches, why do people only climb up about two or three steps then reach for the belt when its clear as day they can't grab the belt from where they're standing?
And if you didn't already know, Batista has the most pyro out of the Raw and Smackdown sets.
But Edge just got some which is a shitload of pyro.
So does Edge have more pyro than Batista now?

The point of that in a ladder match is a sign that they're going to get knocked off or the other guy is coming up the other side of the ladder. They do this because otherwise they'd have 3 minute ladder matches.

As for the pyro, Batista gets more because his goes on longer. In WWE magazine a while back, they said Batista gets more pyro than anyone else because of his "machine gun" thing he does during his entrance.
Here's a question. Referees back in the day used to count to five whenever a wrestler got on the top rope meaning he has 5 seconds to get off the top rope the same way you have a 5 count to break a hold when your in the ropes.
Anyways, here's the question...has a wrestler ever gotten disqualified for staying on the top rope for more than a five count?

To add suspense, so the crowd gets a ''Oh yes, he's gonna get it'' felling, or the opposite for the heel, it's a rollercoaster match.

Edge's lasts longer now and I'm pretty sure he's got more, don't know the stats, just basing it on what I see.
